Removers and Storers Ltd

I had an awful moving experience with this company. After reaching a deadlock with Removers and Storers Ltd regarding compensation for the damage they caused to several of my items during our house move, I handed the matter to The Furniture Ombudsman who instructed Removers and Storers Ltd to pay me £200 for all the damages. The Furniture Ombudsman instructed Removers and Storers Ltd to send me a cheque for £200 however the cheque was sent back to me by my bank stamped with the words "REFER TO DRAWER"!

I have now handed this matter back to The Furniture Ombudsman to assist me with resolving this issue. I will also take this matter further by lodging a complaint against this company with WHICH? Trusted Traders.

I've used Removers and Storers twice now. I know they're very busy (which is a good thing), so they subbed the work out to Clear n Tidy Removals on this occasion. The guys arrived early, were extremely helpful, and most importantly, our furniture and belongings were treated with great care. Astonishing watching the lorry being packed - like a giant game of Tetris - everything was protected with blankets and strapped securely, in order to ensure nothing got damaged in transit. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything arrived safe and sound, and was placed where we asked. I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again.

Removals and storers offer very competitive quotes and are very responsive to any questions you may have prior to your move.
The removal team for our 2 bed move was a team of 3. They were very fast and efficient clearing our house but this isn’t always a good thing. I was constantly worrying that a box would be dropped and a fragile item damaged as they liked to stack as many boxes as they could physically carry in one go. There essence seems to be on speed most likely so they can have a longer break between the load and unload. In the end none of our items were damaged and our move was completed quickly and efficiently. I remain curious how many breakages do occur with this approach though so take caution if you value your items and prefer a slow and steady approach to your move.

I can’t rate these guys highly enough. From the initial visit to provide a quote to the time they left us in our new home everyone was professional and helpful. On moving day itself the crew turned up early and worked solidly to load up, at the new house we hit a snag as the vendors were not ready to hand over the keys ! The guys from Removers and Storers remained calm, pleasant and kept their sense of humour despite the delay which meant that we would not gain access until about 10 minutes from the deadline for gaining entry. This delay meant that the crew did not leave the new property until after 7.30pm but despite it all they took care of our belongings and remained smiling. They truly worked so hard and I can’t thank them enough. Without their dedication the move could have been so much more stressful than it was. Thank you.

We had Lenny, Nabeel, Brad and AJ. The company sent to 2 guys the day before to box everything and take apart anything that was going to be moving with us. They did that very quickly and efficiently and then the main team turned up the following day. All the guys worked very hard getting everything where we wanted it. So the removals and unpacking went very smoothly. The only thing I have still yet to find is a power supply for a monitor. Other than that I couldn't be happier.

The company admin was very good to deal with and were very patient with us given we were unable to confirm the move until a couple of days before and at a competitive price. Unfortunately the surveyor underestimated the number of items/boxes that needed packing which really put the two men under time pressure and it took longer than expected to pack and load over the two days. Nabeel has to be singled out for his professional attitude and helpfulness at both sides of the move. There was no complaint from him, he just got on with the job without taking any real breaks.
