I was very satisfied with the level of service. The whole team were professional from the survey and quote right through to the actual move itself. On move day Brad and his team were hardworking, punctual and polite and nothing was too much trouble. My only minor complaint would be with the packing service. Some items were not bubble wrapped when they should have been and were squeezed into boxes although luckily nothing was damaged. Also, some boxes were only half full so could have been packed more efficiently.

I debated between a 2 star and 3 star review but as we did get our belongings in the end I decided to go with 3 stars. Communication with Removers & Storers was shockingly bad, however. I phoned and e-mailed several times to clarify info from our quote - getting answers seemed to take forever. Then I phoned up to confirm our booking - was told it was all set. When the movers didn't show up at the appointed time, I waited another hour in case they were lost/late, then phoned up only to find that some error in the booking system meant we weren't on the schedule at all! I will give R&S credit that they did manage to get someone out to us that day to collect our things, but again..communication was very poor. We were given several different time windows and when each one went without an update, I had to phone up to find out what was going on. After our things were collected, we were told (several times) that while we wouldn't be given much warning for when our belongings would arrive (using a part-move service), it would be within 3 weeks. At the beginning of the 3rd week (again - no update from them!) I phoned up to find out what was going on, and was told that maybe our things would arrive a week and a half later. I questioned the promised 3 week timeframe and was told that "no one should promise that as it isn't guaranteed" (well, fine, but then say that, rather than "it will definitely be sometime within 3 weeks, we just don't know when", which multiple different people told me). In the end we got our belongings 41 days after they were collected. I contacted R&S to ask about any sort of refund or compensation for their shocking communication and lack of keeping to their timetable..I was not surprised to get no response.

The quote was very competitive, but the deciding factor for me as a non car owner was that I was actually allowed too travelled with the removers in the van to store my goods in Northern Ireland and then they returned me back to my Essex address. The ferry crossings where arranged and booked in advance by the company. In hind sight I should have booked the packing service because it turned out to be good value, it's worth asking, I wish I had.
On the day of removal I helped a little but mostly watched, I was very impressed with the care taken by AJ AND TONY moving our stuff from the second floor flat and how it was packed in the van. In northern Ireland we had most of our stuff placed in the garage of the property we are about to complete on, and some stuff put into the house. AJ AND TONY said they would place furniture and boxed stuff in any room I wanted it.
Overall I was very impressed with the company who offered a service others wouldn't, and with two very good and hard workers in AJ and Tony. I look forward to completing on my property next week and to start unpacking our boxes. 10 outta 10 service. Merry Christmas.

The crew of 3 turned up before the agreed time. They were polite and considerate that some things were not quite ready and just started upstairs. They had 2 beds, bunk beds and a wardrobe to take apart. Everything was loaded by noon. We then had to wait 3.5 hours for the keys to the new place, but they unloaded and reassembled by 5.30pm. The men worked hard and efficiently. I am not sure that they really enjoyed their job but they worked hard despite it being a hot day and were cheerful.

Service cost: £750

Arrived on time in an unbranded wagon which was too large to access the property. All the furniture had to be taken across an open area to the wagon which took the whole day. They had insufficient packing materials, no carpet protectors, did NOT reassemble furniture correctly, even leaving screws out, broke antique bureau whilst loading and blamed us for not taking sufficient insurance. The price was good until you take in to account the damage, the additional costs offset the saving. NEVER AGAIN.

Thank you for such a great service, from receiving the quote to the day of the move can not fault the service. Our moving date moved so many times we finally did it the 7th December. On the morning of the move the three man team turned up on time, loaded the van and went to wait at the new property. As soon as we got the keys they efficiently moved us in, nothing was a problem. I must give praise to the team that moved us my husband has MS and is wheelchair bound we were not looking forward to the moving day but we had a stress free moving day thank you. We would defiantly recommend you.

We chose removal only and found the service to be very quick. There were a couple of issues initially. The removal men were on time, even early, but instead of 'good morning, I'm from removers and Storers' I got a simple 'where am I going to park' which I though was a bit impolite. Also I'd ordered floor protectors as we had beige carpet which would get easily muddied and these were missing. However the guys did improvise by using blankets on the floors which we really appreciated. They also cheered up over the day and we had a laugh in the afternoon. Overall we were pleased and would use them again.

Last Saturday was D.day but all went well the men were early [a good sign. The two Lads worked hard with very few breaks and we were soon loaded, even though their were more boxes than they expected, they were even prepared to make two trips if needed. At the other end the unloading went just as well even though my over excited Grandaughter appointed herself door person for the day[there were lots of thank yous and your welcome.I can't say enough in praise of your staff and how professional they were. I would use you again without hesitation

Moving at the best of times is stressful, last Friday we found out how stressful, on the morning of the move the banking system being used for the transfer on funds crashed and wasn’t up and running till after midday, we were informed at 4.30 that we should now start looking at hotel accommodation as the move wasn’t going to happen, we have a 9 year old son, a dog and a cage full of Guinea pigs! Not many hotels to pick from I guess, to add to the stress it rained all day, the people whose property we were buying were the most disorganised family in history ! They were due out of the property at midday, they finally moved the last of their items out at 9pm, thankfully we got news at 4.52pm that the house was ours.
With the move on off, on off ,on off, the raining falling down and the family from hell moving out, the team from Removers & Storers were amazing, they stayed claim they were reassuring and easily 3 of the hardest workers I have ever seen in my life, I could not recommend them high enough, fantastic job thank you.

We would highly recommend Removers & Storers Ltd. They provided a honest quote including removal, delivery, packing material and insurance. The 3 man team turned up early and loaded our entire house meticulously into the lorry. Incredibly friendly gentlemen, they even reconnected our washing machine for us. This was our first house move so we were very stressed leading up to the completion, but Removers & Storers Ltd took every stress away. They provided excellent communication via phone and email with very quick response.  When we asked for more packaging materials, they provided that evening without any extra cost. Very happy customers.

Arrived 45 mins early but I was ready so no big deal. Guys worked very hard in the hot weather. There were no moans or complaints. They were very cheerful and very happy. Communication was good. I moved from a house to a 4th floor flat so we were very limited for room, but the boxes were brought in and stacked carefully. All in all the move went very smoothly with no dramas. The staff in the office were efficient and polite, keeping in touch with me until the completion of the job.

The company and personnel were really helpful and the help they gave me as to how to progress the very stressful period of setting up a House removal after a period of 38yrs in my house was a godsend. Everything went very smoothly from the original quote and explanation as to what happens next including the gentleman who came to assess what service I would require and exactly what they would do.
When the big day arrived the crew turned up right on time and got straight on with the job and were very friendly also very helpful in checking that whatever was there was due to go or not,
we felt that what was going to be a very stressful day seemed to pass very quickly and the crew finished in really good time,
leaving us plenty of time to go around the house and vacuum clean the carpets thus allowing us to leave the house as we wanted. I can only say the service given by the representatives of this company was very professional and we would recommend them very highly to anybody.

Excellent service provided. We moved from Southend-on-Sea, Essex to Langport, Somerset which involved a 2 day move. Our furniture, garden plants etc., were carefully loaded the day before completion and held overnight in secure storage. The team arrived promptly, were courteous and efficient. On completion day in Somerset, our team had to wait over 2 hours before we were given the key, which involved moving a large lorry several times, up and down a narrow lane for farm traffic to get by. Their patience, expertise and positive attitude kept things on track, even when we were getting annoyed with our vendor for being petty. This company was very competitive on their pricing and the best value for money as we did shop around with other companies. They give a 5* premium service all the way, and will look after you on the most stressful day of your life!

AVOID AVOID AVOID this Essex based company!!   Booked this company as the qoute was reasonable compared to an extortionate qoute from Aussie Man & Van (who were previously very professional but now three times the price we had paid to use them 5 years ago). Rather than the 4 men we had paid for per the qoute, 3 men arrived.  There was an apology and explanation that the fourth man just hadn't shown up.  TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and no rebate on the charges we had to pay! Very disappointed that on delivery my chest freezer was damaged.  The freezerfull of food was destroyed (lots of meat etc to keep us going once we'd moved!) and the freezer itself is no longer usable. We had paid £40 for the removals insurance - ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY!  When I complained about the freezer being broken it was clear from the off the company would do NOTHING to sort this out.  Frome the off they tried to deflect asking if it was plugged in (!?) and switched on.. followed by is it old? The fact of the matter is: it was working pre move, on delivery the back tubing was compressed and out of shape (probably punctured) and then it all defrosted and no longer works.  Whether the freezer is old or not should be irrelevant as it was working before I used these cowboys to move it.  They won't do anything because of the age of the  freezer.   What a waste of money the insurance was and paying for 4 men when only 3 did the job.

Hello, I only say that because of the weeks /months leading up to the move. On the day I couldn't have been happier. The workmen were so kind and helpful. Even helping to pack the last few bits with us. We were not rushed, and they took care of everything.  The office staff were very polite and sorted out my booking, sending e-mail confirmation. At the other end we had a few hiccups, but the workmen satyed in the lory and did not try to rush us, Problem sorted they went to work again without any moaning etc, They were just so king and helpful.If, and its a big if I ever move again, I would not hesitate to us them again. Thanks to everyone.

Three guys, Charlie, Robbie and Adrian arrived early and with a positive can do attitude. They were friendly, polite and considerate. They worked very hard without complaint and got the job done in the most atrocious of weathers. Very pleased with the service we received and would recommend this company.
having used many removal companies over the years, I felt that these three guys were doing their best for us and wanted to do the best for us. They were in a uniform and as I say, worked very hard and no complaints from me.

They under estimated how many items I had, and blamed me.
As I am disabled I paid for full packaging, however they only packed what fitted into van.
They left, and I continued to pack the rest of my items plus I put them into my car. they reached my new home before I left my old home that is 2 hours away.
Placed 60% of items in garage, as I requested, however left the packages so untidy that I was unable to get to the boxes due to blocking my way to even get into the garage.
Some boxes did not have names on it,
They sent another van the following Wednesday, however left what they thought, I did not need, unfortunately I did as the items was a hobby and my business. The driver kindly shifted the boxes and made a pathway so I could reach and start unpacking.

The lady in the office was very helpful and polite.

I was very disappointed with there service.

The move from our property in London to St Helens was carried out with great efficiency and with good communication between ourselves and the movers at all times.
All the guys on the team responsible for our move were friendly and professional and courteous and packed and looked after our possessions as if they were their own.
All goods were delivered to where we wanted and without any damage occurring.
We would have now hesitation with using Removers & Storers again or with recommending them to others.
