      Brilliant movers

These guys worked so hard and absolutely smashed moving everything. In record breaking time too. So grateful for making my move so smooth when I was anxious about it. Carried all my furniture and boxes up a few flights of stairs and never complained. Will definitely be using them again if i ever need to.

Dismantling and removal of some furniture from my address to my son

It was a pleasure dealing with Billie Jane, she was very helpful.

Unfortunately, the team did not have the correct tools for the dismantling and after looking through our tool box to no avail my husband and I drove to Tool Station to buy a spanner set! Which they then took with them as it was needed to put the bed together at my son’s and has been left there.

This left us very disappointed as I would have thought that each van would have its own tool kit!

The 2 man team were polite and helpful but the lack of tools caused us inconvenience and disbelief.

      A painless removal

Gentleman and a Van more than lived up to the warm recommendation that had been given to us by a friend. Under the friendly and constructive direction of Jason Winyard, two teams worked over three days to convey the 21-year accumulation of contents of a house in Westminster to a mansion flat inFulham. The removal was completed without mishap and on schedule. From start to finish, the teams worked efficiently and in a friendly atmosphere, showing great consideration for their very elderly clients.

      Fantastic service

Having had a nightmare experience with AnyVan previously, I did a lot more thorough research for this move and landed on Gentleman and a Van. I am so glad I did - it was a night and day experience.

An Aussie Man & Van van arrived, but they explained they are sister companies, and the service was flawless. The guys were total professionals - polite, fast, and exceptionally careful with my things. It was a long journey with no air con, but they stayed cheerful and kept their sense of humor the entire time.

Huge thanks to the team, you made a stressful day so much easier!

This is not the first time we, as a family, have used Gentlemen and a Van for our moves. In the last 2 years, we have used them 4 times, and on every occasion the moves went without a 'hitch' to the extent that we were onlookers as the guys did the business. We expect to use G&V3 times over the next 2/3 years, and there is no second thought but to use G&V. Courteous, professional and on time; we recommend them should you ever have need to have a seamless move and a relaxing experience.

Much broken - poor claims handling.

Gentleman & a Van provided moving service within London. I had the following issues with them:

      1) Packing was not done properly - this resulted in 20 broken items (glass & ceramics) plus damaged surface on a chest of drawers. Many of the broken items were of sentimental value. The company claimed that their staff was properly trained.

      2) They sent the wrong size van - too small: as a result the van had to go back & forth - I had to go ahead of the van to pick up keys from the estate agent; as a consequence the movers left my flat after me and 'forgot' to bring one chair with them (fortunately I was able to retrieve this from the buyers of my flat - but it was an inconvenience)

      3) When filing my claim I discovered that in spite of my specific request for proper replacement value insurance they self-insured. (Unfortunately I did not get this in writing.) Their settlement agent claimed that the terms and conditions would take into account wear & tear (this was not very clear, I took some legal advice suggesting it should cover replacement) and assessed typically 50% of replacement value. I did argue my case which resulted in a threatening response as follows: "In view of the…

Gentleman & a Van.

Removal men do their job day in day out, but for the person moving it's a really big deal and this company treated their work with care, respect and importance. They did more than they should have (because we had no idea what to do in terms of packing) and were hardworking, polite at all times and professional.  Moving from a large 1st floor flat that you've spent a long time in is not an easy job and I'm sure there would be companies not fit to do this well but we found we didn't have to 'oversee' everything; we could let them get on with it.  The manager who visited our flat to evaluate the sort of service we would need, was spot on with his estimation.  The price was not the cheapest (wouldn't trust the cheaper companies) and not the most expensive, just reassuringly in the middle.  I like the fact that the manager said they pay their staff well therefore their men stay with them. .

Super Gentleman And a Van.

Am super happy with the service Gentleman And a Van provided. The team on the day can only be described as super humans, their attention to detail was beyond my expectations. Super polite, clean, easy to talk to, courteous and above all friendly and engaging. They were a brilliant company to deal with from start (survey) to finish (including suspending the parking bay with the local borough) and all in all I couldn't be happier to recommend Gentleman and a Van to absolutely anyone. 10/10 service. .

Terrific Service from Gentleman & A Van!

I just wanted to pass on my feedback that Matt and Alex were both terrific. So careful with everything and polite despite clearly being tested with my awkward building! They also worked until past 7pm on Friday and were entirely professional about it. From the very first contact I had with Kate to the completition of my move, they couldn't have been more accomodating and professional. I would highly recommend Gentleman and a Van to anyone that is moving.  .

Gentleman & a Van.

Dear Mark, James, Charles, Mike, Steve and all at G&AV!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for moving my wife and me last week. You were utterly amazing, I'm only sorry we have so much stuff! All the guys who helped were so pleasant and hyper-efficient and everything pitched up in the right place for us to unpack (super-speed too!).

We love our new house but could never have done the move without your invaluable help. SO nice to be reunited with my belongings in storage too - they all fit in and those that don't are happily chilling out in the garage!

MANY thanks to you all - we'll continue to recommend you to all we can! You have an outstanding company!

All the very best and speak soon.

Outstanding Job!

A note of the highest praise for the Gentleman & a Van team! They were the upmost professionals from the start to the finish of our complicated move, storage, and disposal needs. James and team were always quick to respond to my emails and showed up promptly on both days of our move. They even came back for the boxes after we unpacked - such service!

We simply can't say enough good things and nearly a week after our move we keep commenting on how well spent the money was on this team! Will absolutely use again and recommend to all who ask. Thank you, Gentleman & a Van!

Gentleman and a Van.

The excellent team from Gentleman and a Van made our move this weekend as good a move as I can imagine a move being.  We had two men packing the house up on Friday, and then 5 men on Saturday with two vans, one brand new, both in excellent condition.  They had all the right equipment, packed our possessions beautifully in tissue and bubble wrap, LOTS of boxes including full wardrobe boxes, and took great care.  They could not have done enough, were unfailingly polite and helpful, and a pleasure to have around. We will definitely use the company again, and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Great team.

I just used a Gentleman and a Van to remove and store some items for me prior to the sale of my house. Every contact point has been a joy. Polite, bright, communicative staff who all know what they are doing. The process was extremely efficient without any issues. It is rare to find a business with integrity and clarity these days. I will use them again and recommend their services wholeheartedly.

Excellent move.

It has been my 4th move in 4 years, and by far the smoothest. The crew from Gentleman and a Van were extremely professional, took great care of valuable items (china, pictures) and worked extremely quickly. We have a lot of stuff (200+ boxes, incl. some very heavy furniture), and last time we moved it took us 3.5 days to pack with another company. This time, the team from Gentleman and a Van packed us in one day and moved us on the second day. Excellent job - and very nice guys.

Superb service.

Two words - brilliant removals! We moved from a 2 bed flat in Chiswick to a 4 bed, 3 storey house near Twickenham and the team were absolutely superb. Highly professional, friendly, efficient and really thoughtful, to the point that they laid plastic wrapping on all 3 storeys of carpet so as not to dirty it! We went for the full packaging option and I genuinely cannot fault the service.

I hope we'll not need to move again, but if we do, I wouldn't hesitate to use this brilliant company again.
