Learned my lesson to never use these guys again.

Please take my review seriously. I made the worse decision by not listening to friends and family to use a more local removal service.

The booking already rang alarm bells when their prices were almost half the price of some of the removal company (and believe me, you pay for what you get)

Although ALL my furniture was listed on the quote, the day before my husband rung me and asked me to call this company up to make sure they are taking our piano. I said yes, I have it written confirmation on email already.

After payment you get an email to tell you a window that your removal will arrive which was 12-3. (they do not tell you over the phone prior booking, had I known this I would have changed my mind immediately because I do not want to sit around staring at my phone with low battery for 3 hours and looking out the window like a dog). They called at 3 to say they are going to be an hour because of ‘traffic’ (even though on the day of the booking over the phone to the sales team told me that they have local removal vans everywhere). We are only moving down the road, so I tried to not let it get to me. They arrive by 4. Which I haven’t yet lost it yet but when I saw the removal guys, I felt immediately concerned. 2 young guys (one looks like they were in their teens) with very very little English. I show them around our house and when they saw our piano, they said they won’t be taking that. I explained, I have written confirmation. He insist he will not take it and goes off making plans to carry out the removal. I get on the phone back to their office to explain the situation and I have NEVER received such bad customer service from a arrogant person ever. After an hour over the phone to them my only option was to pay for them to come back with more people another day. They were no way refunding me if I chose not to use their service on the day because they have a 48 hour cancelling policy (even though they are not sticking to their contract we have on paper) or reimbursing me for the piano that is being left behind because it is apparently not their fault and yes.. their best reason for this to me is the best line they could throw at me.. ‘that I confirmed the removal service’ HAHA! Oh wait, they also said if I want the piano moved then I can help them.. I am 5’1 at 7 and a half stones this is why I paid you to do it. Foul! So now I have to arrange another removal service on Monday for our other things left behind. It’s clear these guys were overworked by this nasty company with very little pay. Use them for cheap labour. I actually felt sorry for them given the situation I was left in and offer them drinks and tipped them in the end as I am fully aware how much this nasty company pays them. We did not finish till 8pm and they have been working since 6am. So they were desperate to go home, leaving the furniture that had to be taken apart..everywhere in our new house. They’ve even taken the bolts to the furniture so we cannot put it together and in all honesty.. I should be crying but I won’t let this unfair, dishonest, money grabbing, sleeping well at night human beings get me down.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! Save your hair and keep your stress levels down and go to a local removal service who visits your property for a quote.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. The service is really bad, I got a quote from them spoke to Liam on the phone and told him how much stuff I had, he said they could fit everything into a Luton van. Simpley Removals were not the cheapest quote I got they were in the middle so I went with them. BIG mistake, came the day of the move they were an hour and half late, then the guys that we're moving me informed me that not everything would fit in the van! Which I asked them why as there was plenty of space in the van they explained to me they can not go over the metal bar that runs around the middle of the van! Which my response was Why? Which they said if they did that then my belongings wouldn't be safe and they wouldn't be able to tie anything back (which they didn't do anyway). So I called Liam up and he said that what they were saying was correct and then asked him why this wasn't explained to me to start off with and he became very rude and the customer service went out the window.I asked to speak to his manager and he said he was the manager.

Do not use this company. I used them for a simple one bed house move in Aug 2019 and it was a disaster from start to finish. I was given an estimate time of between 1-4 in advance and told I would get a phone call on the morning with a more specific update. I received no calls and had to chase 3 times to be given a time of 3.30pm. At 4pm no one had turned up and I had received no call so chased again to be told they would arrive at 5.30pm. This was cutting it really fine with the storage company close times where my boxes were going to. They turned up and spoke very broken English but were annoyed about the amount of boxes even though I had listed everything very clearly when getting quote. They kept telling me how tired they were which I did sympathise with as they are obviously being worked to the bone. They then said my wardrobe was too big, I explained that I had told the company this in advance and asked for advice and they said it would be fine, the removal man very snappily said back well they aren’t here ok. I said ok just leave it and do everything else. Next thing I know he is trying to get it down the stairs and broke the top of it. I was so tired and beyond care by then (plus a little intimidated) I didn’t make a fuss as I just wanted to get out. Finally we got everything out the house and to the storage unit - they were still complaining and were very annoyed it had to go to the second floor. As I said I do feel sorry for them as they clearly get paid pittance and work very hard but there was absolutely no care in looking after my items, poor communication from both them and the office and all in all it was a very stressful experience.

From being 3 hrs late for there pack and store they sent 3 lorries all at varying times right up to 3 pm and the new owners of our home was moving in as we were still trying to move out. they threw our stuff in not strapped down or protection used they didn't even know where it was going all the operatives were foreign and didn't speak or understand English. when they delivered our stuff they opened the lorry and it wasn't our stuff! We had to wait another 24 hrs before it arrived again all just thrown in very little packing material used 26 items damaged and smashed 7 items stolen/missing. customer service representative not interested just told us to claim against them. still waiting response from them please don't use them if you want a stress free move and you want your property back undamaged.

I hired Simply Removals for my elderly parents who could move lots of 'little' items (clothings, bathroom supplies, etc.) and just wanted someone to move heavy items such as the sofa, beds, dressers, etc. as there were stairs in the new house. It was just a simple move across town. I opted for the hourly rate, as I didn't think it would take more than an hour or two to load everything, drive across town and unload. Two men showed about 5-10min late (no big deal TBH) as it was morning traffic. Wrapped everything according to my dad's instructions, loaded it, came over to the new place, put it where instructed - not a wall marked, scratched, etc. Both guys were pleasant, chatted with my dad. In and out in about 55 minutes! Perfect! There was a 2hr minimum (£60/hr + VAT) which was fine, that was clearly explained going into it - as I'd have been surprised if it took that long unless they walked each bit of furniture over by hand. Other companies wanted to charge £600-800 for the same work! Granted, this was just a move of large pieces of furniture, not all the odds and ends of clothing, millions of kitchen items, etc. but we'd certainly hire them again if we go the same crew.

DISHONEST!! Simply removals were the cheapest quote I received for my move. I contracted them recently to move my items to two locations. we agreed at the time of the booking that I would pay by Credit card, I confirmed this with the company on several occasions before the move and they agreed to put the payment through 48hrs before so it can reach their acct on the day of the move. on the day the removal men ignored the boxes marked fragile and stacked everything on top of each other. they ignored the labels on the boxes stating where each box was to go and stacked most of them in one room. Then as they were about to leave for the second location, they demanded I pay them by cash for the job, I told them they were mistaken that they payment was to be made by card and to speak with their office, they did this and still insisted I pay by cash. after much heated argument with several people at their head office, I was told that they had neglected to put the payment through on my card as agreed and I had no choice but to pay them by cash or they would not finish the job. the move was stressful enough without being held to ransom by them, I had no option but to run around and get the money together to pay them. as you can imagine I was very upset at this stage and so stressed out that I didn't take the time to check that I had received all my boxes and belongings intact, now after unpacking I can see that some of my kitchen items are missing. this whole business with simplyremovals has been very upseting, I trusted them to carry out a professional job and I was completely let down. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!. cheaper doesn't mean better!

This is honestly the worst experience I have ever recieved, they turned up on the day to pack late, never left to late in the evening, I was told to call their office at 7am in the morning to let the guys in the office know that they would need to come earlier than 9am, got a hold of the guy in the office at 7:30, he was abrupt saying that I should have called the previous evening and that is what the guy who was packing meant, their office closed at 7pm, we were told to call the office at 8pm, not sure how that works.  then on the day of the move, bearing in mind that we had communicated to them that we had to be out of the house by 12pm, I had to call back again as apparently their removals van had broken down on the north circular at 8:20am, how they would have got to our address by 9am is beyond me as I travel that route regular, and either they know a quick route or I am going the long way round.  

complete mess, they have no concept of the importance of being reliable, or  punctual, and put us in a massive dilemma.  if they didn't have you over a barrel, you would tell them not to bother!!

if you are considering uusing this company, pay the extra and go for the more reputable complany, these guys are a shambles, and just constantly lie, and they aren't even good at that.
