We used Seven Seas Worldwide’s MoveCube service to move our belongings from Hong Kong to France, and we were impressed. The self service quotation process was straightforward, and there was no aggressive follow-up from sales staff after the estimate, which was refreshing.

I highly recommend this service for people comfortable managing the packing themselves. Collection in Hong Kong was only available on certain days of the week, which did not fit our schedule, so we arranged for a mover to deliver the items to Seven Seas’ warehouse for loading.

We were particular about how everything was packed into the MoveCube. Using 3D software, we created a layout to maximise every inch of space, including the area up to the top. The warehouse staff were friendly, collaborative and followed our instructions perfectly. This made a stressful part of the move much easier.

The Cube arrived in Europe within the estimated timeframe. We stored it for several months while deciding on our final destination. The storage fee is slightly expensive, but dispatching the Cube to our final address was smooth. Overall, Seven Seas is an excellent value solution for a hands-on international move.

My cargo was sent to Hamilton Airport, rather than Toronto Airport, which is over an hour's drive away, with very few transport links. Having just moved back to Canada, I am yet to get a car so this a problem. The opening hours for this airport's customs office is only during work hours on weekdays, which means I have to take a day off work to gain clearance on my belongings - not ideal when starting a new job. I have contacted Sevens Seas, and they simply told me to get in touch with DHL directly to sort it out. Disappointed with the service overall. I would probably advise others to simply just book directly with DHL or another service, as Sevens Seas "door to door" service is pretty much just them booking one of them on your behalf, and the lack of attention detail here has ultimately ended up costing me substantially more without any actual benefits in terms of ease of shipping. I'm not usually one to complain, but I would probably not use them in the future for that reason.

I've noticed many reviews about Seven Seas, particularly complaints regarding their delivery drivers not helping with unloading. However, my experience was quite different:

I shipped items from Hong Kong to the UK in March 2025, and they arrived in May 2025, taking approximately 60 days.

In Hong Kong, the driver came to my door and helped load about 30 boxes into a medium-sized container. I didn't have to lift a finger. The driver was friendly, handled the items and furniture carefully, and didn’t ask for any tips. The entire process, from arrival to loading, took about an hour, and I was required to supervise the sealing process and take photos for documentation.

After the goods arrived in the UK, a company employee contacted me to arrange a delivery time and date. The driver arrived at my door on time, counted the items, checked for damage, and helped me unload them. Again, the driver was friendly, handled the goods with care, and didn’t ask for any tips.

Overall, I found their service to be quite good. They are a company that highly values its reputation, and their handling fees for the same amount of goods are more affordable compared to other companies. Most importantly, all fees and handling details were communicated in advance by phone, and everything was executed according to the agreed terms without unnecessary disputes.

Things looked ok until my package was about to arrive in destination country, they then asked for me to post physical passport to their office for an unknown amount of time for them to get package into country, I refused, after about a week of constant arguing about this they finally gave up and decided to deliver my package as originally agreed to my house in destination country, I have no idea why all of the arguments were required to get to what was originally agreed upon.

Everything was very smooth and easy UNTIL the goods arrived in Vancouver. No brokerage service by Seven Seas and no option to use another broker so, with very little notice, I had to drop everything, travel for 2 days + pay over $1000 hotel and airfares just to get the release documents stamped in person (took 15 minutes). Poor communication and tracking made final delivery difficult. It did not arrive on the day I was told it would and then nobody knew where it was or when it would be delivered. I got 15 minutes notice from the truck driver and had to make last minute urgent arrangements in middle of work day to meet him. Everything arrived safely so that's the main thing but customer service and info was very poor in the end. They don't really seem to care how much it messes you around or make any real effort to resolve the problems they create. I was initially impressed but not so much in the end.

I used Seven Seas in Kuala Lumpur to relocate my belongings to Melbourne a couple of years ago. The process was very smooth and phone customer service was good too. Special shout out to the staff/driver who came to pick up my boxes was extremely helpful to move the boxes from my apartment unit into his van. I also packed up some fragile items with foam in 2 of my boxes and I am pleased with their service as the items in my boxes were delivered without damaged. They offered affordable price to move my belongings and small furnitures from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne.

Seven Seas delivers on what is established regarding transit times and international shipping terms. However, my quote included door-to-door service with home collection in Australia, but no driver arrived and I had to personally drop off the suitcases at their depot. Despite saving them the fuel and labor for the origin pickup, no discount or refund was provided for the unfulfilled service. They meet their commitments overall, but this issue in origin was very disappointing.

⭐ Move Cube Review – Australia to New Zealand (2024)

It has been a while since I used Move Cube, but in 2024 I booked a medium-sized cube to move my belongings from Australia to New Zealand. From the initial phone call, the team were helpful, considerate, and took the time to understand exactly what I needed.

The schedule was tight: Move Tube were flexible and kept communication open throughout the process. The documentation was hiderrous. Made easier by all the staff I communicated with. Sending my belongings from Australia to New Zealand was easy and efficient. Every staff member I spoke with was accommodating and professional.

Shane arrived right on time, and the cube was packed within the timeframe specified. I was able to track my cube online, and to my surprise it was delivered just three and a half weeks after I arrived in New Zealand.

I cannot fault the service I received in Australia. The team followed all procedures diligently, and their organisation made my move to New Zealand smooth and stress-free.

This is the 3rd time I have used Seven Seas to ship articles to each of my sons in Australia.

I have found Seven Seas very professional in the way they have handled each shipment with excellent support from start to finish.

Documentation process was easily followed and fully supported.

Pick up to delivery (door to door) was very smooth and updates on the shipments and required payments were regular.

Would definitely recommend using Seven Seas for stress free shipping of goods overseas.

From the start of the process in the UK to delivery of my belongings in Canada, my experience with Seven Seas was amazing. Their process is easy to understand, their communications are excellent and I would use them again without any concerns. Moving abroad can be challenging and extremely stressful, however their website, recommendations and instructions made the whole experience as easy as it could ever be. I used their MoveCube service and purchased their boxes which are sized to fit the cube perfectly. They even supply a plastic sheet to use as an outline template so you can see how much floor room you have for the boxes in the cube.The lorry that picked up my belongings was on time and the driver was very helpful.The whole experience was easy and I highly recommend them.

Seven Seas were very professional throughout the process, giving helpful feedback on customs declarations and what goods were allowed. Very efficient delivery of box for filling and subsequent pickup- both on schedule. The local representative from Port of Tyne was excellent and the customer help chat/ email very efficient. I also liked the tick box progress sheet. Helpful packing tips- box arrived in Australia without damage to any contents. Time for transit was well within guidelines. I would highly recommend this company who I have used twice.

The packing and moving process itself is really easy and Seven Seas make the move cube a really smooth process. The drivers, particularly the delivery driver on our destination were great, friendly and even helped to unload it with us. The paperwork however, is really strenuous, not a particularly self explanatory process and takes a long time. Unfortunately, I lost some bottles of spirits that were special to us, because Seven Seas said they weren't allowed to ship this, despite them being able to be brought in to the country - it was my mistake, but the costs for them to remove them, and if we'd wanted to, send them back to a local address were astronomical and hard to justify. Would have been beneficial if the customs form had flagged my inclusion of alcohol automatically as an issue, rather than waiting till everything had already been collected and someone manually checking the forms.
