A no hassle move.

I obtained 3 quotes and decided to book with Movecorp to move my items from my 2nd Floor Apartment, as at 5 months pregnant it was not something I would be doing! I was happy with the total cost of £490 for my move and I found that correspondence with the Sales Advisor got back to me quickly when I had queries. The removal guys were friendly and sorted the move promptly. Thanks.

Huntingdon to Lyon.

Thanks for the courtesy email and I would just like to say that your company were wonderful! From the first phone call I made to you right through to the way my goods were packed and received was impeccable. The best part for me was knowing I could contact any of your team at any time with the slightest question or concern. The personalised and friendly service you offer is priceless because it takes the stress out of a very emotional experience. Thank you again and we wish your company the continued success it deserves. Best wishes.

Easy to deal with.

I would like to say how easy it was to deal with this company from the first phone call to the moment the lads brought in the last box. The lads arrived on time, were polite, careful and did a thoroughly brilliant job. There were no breakages which I was very happy about and all the items were deposited safely in the rooms as per places marked on boxes and via instructions. All in all it was a stress free move, excellent service and a great price I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to people.

Long-distance move from Derby, Derbyshire to Derby, Derbyshire

England to Spain.

Actual move was Derby to Castellon de la Plana.
Recommended to Movecorp by a good friend of mine who had used them three years ago for a move from the UK to Spain. As we were retiring to Spain I gave them a ring, told them they had been recommended and asked for a quote. The quote was around what I was expecting to pay so I instructed them there and then. Two months on now and settled down so time to write a review as requested starting with the good communication from start to finish, punctuality, professionalism and enthusiasm. Would highly recommended them.

Damaged goods.

I wish I had visited this site before arranging my removals. I can echo some of the other reviews. My move started with a simple house to house locally but the purchase fell through just as we were packing to leave so the goods had to go into storage for about 2 months while we found another house. All was going well until the men arrived with our goods. They greeted us by saying "there is a lot of damage". Item after item came out damaged - furniture broken, lamps broken, tables and chairs broken, crockery broken, my telescope broken and bits missing. My wife's clothes supposedly in wardrobe boxes had been packed flat and stored upright hence all tangled and creased. Then half our settee and chairs were missing and had to be found at a later time. I took photos of all the damaged goods for the record.

My mistake and I warn others now, was that I assumed there was some sort of insurance cover at least a minimal from the movers side but as I hadn't filled in a full and valued inventory list I had no insurance and during our time in storage my house insurance had lapsed. I was told that - tough I was not insured. They offered some minimal compensation but I was still pursuing the insurance claim though them. When that failed they withdrew the compensation. Finally I got a token apology.

I have just taken several car loads of broken items to the tip which will cost me close to £1000 to replace.

The whole episode and how it was handled left a sour taste in my mouth. I realise it was my naivety in not taking out their insurance which meant I hadn't a valid claim so technically they weren't obliged to recompense me for the damage, but I feel angry that I entrusted my valuables to them and they had a completely unprofessional way of handling and storing the goods and dealing with the aftermath.

People reading this should be careful to read the small print, take out as much, independent insurance as you can and keep careful records before trusting Movecorp with your move.

North Baddesley to Frankfurt.

Got some spare time in the office, at last, and finally got round to doing your review James. What can I say? You have obviously got faith in your company to email clients and ask them to do this and that faith is well founded. Our move from North Baddesley to Frankfurt was flawless, your company did a fantastic, friendly, professional removal and did everything you could to move our things safely and on time. The whole move was done reliably and fast, transport was on time at both ends and the negotiated price was the paid price. I would recommend you to anyone seeking a great, caring, reasonably priced removal company. Many thanks.

Very poor communicators.

I moved from the UK to the USA (the drop down is not allowing me to put in the right destination). The pickup was two hours late and I wasn't called. The boxes are now anticipated at  15 weeks until delivery. Yet, they never contacted me and when I contacted them (at about 7 weeks) I found out for the first time that the shipment was still in the UK. I was then told that it was going to be loaded next week. When I contacted them at 9 weeks I then found out it had not been loaded. I then complained about lack of communication and got an email back that did not address those concerns but simply said that the shipment would be made within the original estimate of 8-12 weeks. A week after that email I got another with an estimated deilvery date of 15 weeks. I can only hope that it will come then. I understand that these delivery times are just estimates, but I would expect that when the shipment is going to be outside of the estimated time they would be eager to communicate at each step. The price was fine - within the range of all the movers I contacted - at the low end. .

Definitely worth trying..

My husband and I were recommended to this company by a chap my husband has done some work for and to be honest after reading a few reviews slating them off we hummed and haahed. But my husband said well if they can please Chris they must be okay and after using them we must say that they looked after us fine. They did a full removal at what we thought was a very reasonable price, everything went smoothly on the day of the move and the office staff were brilliant in answering any random questions we threw their way.A great service that we wouldn't hesitate to use again and recommend.

Retiring to Almeria.

Would like to start this review by thanking Ped our Spanish plumber for telling us about this company. We bought an old finca in Almeria four years ago with the intention of retiring there and as the time came closer we decided we should put plans in action and there starts the story. Ped told us that he had heard good reports about Movecorp from people he had done work for and when we contacted them we were pleasantly surprised with the quote we received from the sales director James. The moving day came with everything packed away safely and professionaly, instructions provided on their recommended route taken as we were taking both of our cars over to Spain, everything was going to plan. Now we are settled in we realise how foolish we would have been if when we considered moving ourselves how much we underestimated the amount of belongings we have. I suppose we could have managed it with a struggle but at 58 years old did we need the hassle? No not really it was better to pay the professionals, enjoy our nice drive over here and on our first full day sit out in the sun with a nice cool drink. Thank you Movecorp for job well done.

Great move.

Very good service by this company. Opted for the full packing service which we decided was worth the extra cost. Vans arrived on time with two sets of very hardworking men. Everything was covered with sheets including bed mattresses. On arrival at our new property when everything was unpacked we relieved that nothing was broken or damaged throughout our 270 mile trip. With a great move at a great price we would definitely recommend Movecorp.

Very pleasant and stress free.

I called for three quotes before deciding on Movecorp as they were the middle priced quote and that's the way I carry out my business. I found them to be very efficient, punctual, excellent communications and confident with their business outlay and directions. I asked for the full packing service to save my time and was very impressed with the care and attention that was obviously taken to safeguard belongings. After a couple of terrible experiences in the past I would highly recommend this company as this was a very pleasant and stress free experience that I would gladly do again when the need arises.

Seamless stress free service.

Thank you so much Move-corp for taking the hassle and stress out of what could have been a traumatic experience. From the first phone call we made, we had total confidence in Move-corp that our move from the UK to Spain was in good hands. The admin staff in the office were great and answered all our queries knowledgeably and efficiently and communicated well at each stage of the proceedings. The guys that made the initial collection of our belongings were courteous, friendly and also inspired confidence that our goods would be well looked after. After 6 weeks storage, our boxes were delivered a day early (which was great and agreed) undamaged and intact to our new home in Spain. by two lovely young men who worked really hard in 40 degrees heat to unload our possessions. There were no problems, no issues during the process and we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all concerned and would not hesitate one iota in recommending this Company Move-corp to others. Cheers guys!

Happy with move.

Just like to put my view forward on my home removal carried out by this company. I was amazed to read the recent negative reviews but if this is what has happened then it needs saying, happily in my case I could find nothing wrong with the move so?

From quote to delivery I was happy with the service provided, couple of small breakages but as we packed ourselves I could not really complain. Price was middle of the road as was the service but I could not complain at either and the removal crew themselves were great lads who did exactly what we asked for and were very hard working. Many thanks to all.

Terrible.

It took 5 months for my boxes to get door to door. MoveCorp quoted our transit time to be between 8-12 weeks. What they failed to mention was that my boxes were being sent to Toronto Canada and we live in Vancouver. When I emailed the lady that was our point of contact about it, she sends me an 'out of office' reply. They got their money, they didn't need to deal with us anymore. So they sent the boxes to Toronto and contracted the Canadian part of the journey to an even more inept company called AMJ International, where my boxes sat in a warehouse for 6 weeks before they got loaded up and moved. AMJ International quoted me 1-3 weeks of a wait and it took 8. Long story short, we would have been better off selling our stuff and buying new when we got to Canada. Do not waste your time with an amateur company like this. Do your research before giving them your money.

Movecorp.

I would not use or recommend this removal agency, the salesperson agreed a specific date to have our furniture shipped to our holiday home in Spain and we booked flights accordingly. The actual removal company itself was excellent they collected on the day specified at 8 o'clock rather than in the afternoon as Movecorp had instructed me - but this was not a problem. During the afternoon when all our furniture was in a removal van and had left our house, Movecorp emailed saying it would not be leaving the UK as agreed but a week later. As delivery then would have been after our scheduled time in Spain it was not good enough. I found the salesperson very unhelpful and was left for four days wondering when our items would be shipped. Eventually after numerous calls from me to them and speaking to the manager who again had the 'nothing I can do attitude' I was told the shipment date would be a week later and they could not give a specific delivery date. At one time I was expected to be in Spain waiting for three weeks for delivery, this whole procedure left me incredibly stressed and I was unable to change flights as I had no specific dates from Movecorp. Again the actual removal company who delivered my furniture was excellent. In future I would go direct to a specific removal company and not involve Movecorp at all.
Pick up from Guildford UK delivery Estepona Spain - this is not available in the drop down selection on the form.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Movecorp is the most unprofessional and dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I contacted this company to ship our possessions from the UK to the USA when we emigrated. Their salesperson, Kate Saunders, quoted a price for 250 cu ft of approximately 1500 british pounds. We were on a tight budget so we marked out the area and made sure everything fitted into that space. Once they had taken our shipment to their warehouse, we were stunned when we received an e-mail to say they had done a 'volume adjustment' and, as our shipment was substantially larger than we had told them it would be, we owed an ADDITIONAL £850! Then they took the money out of our account without authorisation, leaving us with no money for our last few days in England as we had already transferred our money to a bank account in the USA. I called Kate and she assured us they had checked their measurements and we owed them the money. I then spoke to the sales manager James, who must be the most unpleasant individual you could hope to meet. I told him we wanted to come and check the shipment volume ourselves as it was the last day we would be in the UK and wouldn't have another opportunity to do so. He refused to let us see our consignment and when I said my husband was on his way over, James kept saying to me "What part of no don't you understand?" My husband and his brother arrived at Movecorp's warehouse and asked to see our shipment and were told no. Luckily the Director, Matt Belleini was there and came over to see what the problem was. After a long discussion, he agreed that he would check the size of the shipment again when he had moved other crates out of the way and he would let us know the following morning. Lo and behold, the next morning (just as we were boarding our flight) my brother-in-law range to say he had received an e-mail to say Movecorp had indeed measured and we had been right all along (they said we were actually just a bit over but that they would ship that at no charge as a ‘goodwill gesture’. All that stress and upset because of some dishonest salespeople who quote a low price to get your business and then, once they think you can't check, tell you that you are using far more space than you thought! There is a website which gives this company glowing reviews but don't believe a word - I have tried to submit a truthful review with no luck. The Movecorp site lists several phone numbers for different areas, making it look like they have several offices, but all the numbers go through to their Lichfield warehouse. I can't convey in words how much this stress this company added to our move. A lot of our things were broken when they arrived. It took them a week to return the excess they had fraudulently taken from our bank account. My advice would be to steer well clear of this company - they might sound cheaper initially but with their dubious business practices, they end up costing much more than a reputable firm. I wonder how many other expats have been caught out by this firm.

Leicester to Leamington.

Just a quick note to say how pleased we were with our recent move. This was our first move in 14 years and when I think that I managed our first move with two trips in a Transit van, I was dreading it. What can I say, a four bedroom house loaded and unloaded with no breakages after a 60 mile journey in less time than my Transit escapade. Never again, Movercorp you are our designated removal company from now on, not that you will get rich out of us after being in one place for so long?  Brilliant service and so, so much better not doing it yourselves. Cheers.

Don't use them!! Suggest joint claim.

Absolute scam. Did on line estimate (they calculated 4m3). Requested that they come round and validate as we thought it was less. Two appointments made and they didn't show up. Pick up day comes an de insist that they calculate in front of us - it was actually 2.5m3. Then get invoice stating that 4m3 was minimum charge!! Then delivery (contractually written) was for 25th July and at the latest 5th August. Frequent correspondence on this (before and after shipment). Arrives in Uk (from UAE) and clears customs on 10th July - and suddenly told that delivery is 22nd August (after we have returned to UAE and so no one to receive shipment). Repeatedly informed them that no one will be there and we had contractually agreed date but falls on deaf ears. Honestly don't give yourself the hassle / stress - have now got to go down the road of seeking compensation. If anyone else out there fancies doing a joint claim - please let me know: email is [EDIT] 93 (the email sign) gmail. com.

Easy move.

Was a little nervous calling this company after reading some of the reviews on here but my neighbour was adamant that they did a good move for him and I should call them. After speaking to Jane for ten minutes I felt assured that I could get a quote to compare with several I already had and take it from there. When I checked out all the accreditations of the companies Movecorp came out the best and with middle of the pack quote I decided to go with them. Now the move has been carried out everything has gone to plan with no hassle or problems and I couldn't fault the service I received.

Moved from UK to Italy.

I should have read the reviews on movecorp before using them, and I can't blame anyone but myself. I paid for my stuff to be delivered to my apartment. First of all there was no delivery date given and I was told it would be on the next scheduled container to Italy. 4 weeks after the collection I received an email with a delivery date and then a mention of an 18m truck to do the delivery. I immediately contacted the coordinator to raise concerns about the size of the truck, because the street I live on is very narrow and I doubted if the truck would fit. The coordinator said the driver would know when he is in the area. That was when it crossed my mind that movecorp does not look up the address to check if they can deliver or not. I kept asking her if the driver knew the town, it never occurred to me that she had no idea what she was talking about. 3 days before the delivery date she sent me an email saying the driver was behind schedule so my stuff will be delivered a day later. I took the day off yesterday to wait for the delivery. In the afternoon I received a call from the driver that he will not be able to deliver my belongings to me because of the size of his truck. I could not believe it,I called the coordinator and asked her what was going to happen with my things. She replied that they were going to give my things to an agent they work with, and this agent will be able to deliver with a smaller van. Then she sent me an email to say that I will have to pay the agent €795 to deliver. So after having paid movecorp to deliver my belongings to my apartment, I now have to pay for another agent to do the delivery. After 6 weeks, I don't have my things, and I have to pay more money to another agent
The agent asked me why I didn't give movecorp the delivery address, and when I replied that I did, he was so shocked! He started apologising and said he would try and see if he can reduce it a little for me. I was so humbled by his reaction, an agent with a Heart! I am sure movecorp can learn a lot from him. But I doubt they will!
I am sure the coordinator was sat in her office, laughing her head off and proud of the fact that she has swindled another one.
I had told two colleagues of mine relocating to Europe to use movecorp, but I have rang them and told them to look for a better moving company! You have to read my review and others similar to decide for yourself. if you want to waste your time, your money and above all have sleepless nights, then by all means use Movecorp. A word to the wise is Surely Enough!
A Big round of applause to you Kirsty, you did it!

Professional and Trusting.
We were recommended to try Movecorp by a neighbour who had recently used them to move and I can’t thank the neighbour enough. From day one and my first phone call to them until the day after the move when the co-ordinator Michelle called us, the experience has been superbly handled by Movecorp.
