The above "Pick Up and Delivery" does not allow me to show that the collection was from Val d'Isere in the French mountains to York. In May 2010 we made a snap decision to sell our property in Val d'Isere and had to asrrange removal of all our furniture and effects within two weeks.  Movecorp were superb.  Despite it being impossible to get a large removal van up the mountain, they arranged to ferry in smaller vehicles to the bottom of the mountain, and miraculously kept to an extremely tight time schedule. They then stored the effects for over a year, before arranging a perfectly on-time delivery earlier this year, with everything neatly packed and negligible breakages. At all times their approach to problems was highly professional, and nothing was ever impossible or too much trouble.    .

I decided to use Movecorp as they were cheap and because their salesperson, Rachel has a good telephone manner and seemed to know what she was talking about. I paid 550 to ship my belongings (boxes of clothes) from Spain to Vietnam. The price was too good to be true. Moving day came and I waited inside all day to no avail, it was a no show. This was a stressful experience as I was due to leave the country 2 days later to move to my new home and I had to leave my things behind as movecorp refused to come the following day. Movecorp offered little in the way of explanation but I'm guessing that as they sub-contract the collection work to a Spanish company something went amiss there to stop them from collecting. They said they could arrange it for another day and as I had little other choice, I agreed but obviously as I had already left the country, I had to be reliant on friends to look after my things and to be there for collection. Communication was painstakingly complicated, as I wanted to know times (approx) of collection and they just kept saying they were unable to tell me as it was an "all day service"- obviously they were having communication problems with the company they sub-contract. They failed to come the second time because it was a public holiday. I already knew it was a holiday but I thought (as anyone would) that as they had already agreed to do it on that day, that they must be working, only to have a friend wait in all day and for them again to not show up. I called the next day to see what had happened only for them to say "yeah, aparantly it was a public holiday". Duh, I already knew that! I agreed a third and final time to let them come and collect and again, with no explanation, nothing. This time I didn't bother to find out why, I asked for a refund. The only good thing about this whole experience was that my money was refunded without issue. After reading some of the other reviews on here I was quite worried that I was never going to see my money again. Quite seriously- avoid- this is one of the worst companies ever.

The service that the company provided from the first stage of getting a quote, packing, collection and delivery was absolutely amazing. My wife was quite worried about our belongings being moved around 2000 miles plus by other people as we had always self moved before. But she accepted the fact that I was not going to drive a van/lorry to Madeira, packing and unpacking to boot at my age and enjoy it. Better still your whole teams support, service and understanding together with your professionalism made the whole move effortless and quite enjoyable. Add a price that was we feel was exceptional for the service provided and you can be assured that you will definitely be the first and only company I use in the future.

I think the adage that you get what you pay for is in this case very true ie cheap = cheap and shoddy service. I paid a total of £750 for my move from Manchester to Sitges in Spain. The collection date was agreed as the 18th September and they sent one driver to collect the contents of a 2 bedroom apartment. I therefore had to help him load all of my belongings onto the truck, talk about DIY removal. In their emails they stated a delivery time of 7 - 14 days which instead was 49 days in total. Disgusting. My belongings indeed turn up, undamaged, a day later than promised. They were supposed to turn up on the Tuesday and instead arrived on the Wednesday. I would never use Movecorp again and I find it difficult to believe that there are positive reviews on here. I did indeed get what I paid for..cheap and shoddy service.

I have had some bad experiences with removal companies over the years so this time I decided to ask family, friends and work associates who they used and if they would recommend them. After five weeks of listening to good and bad reports I decided on two companies and called them both for a quote and listened to their procedures for my move to France. I finally chose Movecorp to carry out the move as their approach seemed very professional and confident and this was proven when it came to move day. Nothing was too much trouble, the guys loaded everything quickly and efficiently, the office staff kept me informed of progress and always seemed available to answer any queries or questions I raised. Although my move would probably be classed as small work to companies this did not seem to affect the care and consideration shown by the company as a whole. I was very impressed with the company and wish them every success.

“You get what you pay for” is an old saying that still applies now and after using Movecorp for our recent house move, I could not agree more. After receiving five quotes for our move I decided to go for the second dearest, a system I have always used and that has stood me well. Well another one to add to my list and I would like to thank all the staff at Movecorp for making it possible. The wife and I could not be happier with the service provided, from start to finish nothing was too much trouble and the whole move was seamless from start to finish. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a excellent job at an excellent price.

They did an excellent job with my girlfriend and my move last week. We were coming from 2 separate locations so the logistics were a little challenging. From the start they were helpful and courteous providing a prompt and accurate estimate for services. During the day of the move they came on time and notified us before they arrived that they were on their way. They showed up to begin walking me through what they were going to do. Once they got an idea of what needed to be moved and what needed wrapped they went to work. They had a great system for moving and were done in no time.
They were all courteous and respectful and overall really nice. I would hire these guys again the next time I move.

What is wrong with people who leave stolen, scammed, ripped off, lack of respect, avoid? I for one would be taking legal action if I owned Movecorp, proof of the accusations? Some people want a Rolls Royce for the price of a Mini.. pathetic! Rant over and I just want to "thank you" so much Movecorp for making one part of moving home stress-free, 659 miles without a hiccup. If only estate agents, solicitors, and building societies were as good at their jobs as you are at yours moving would be so much easier. Removal 10/10 Estate Agents 4/10 Solicitors 4/10 Building Society 2/10. Enough said.

Recommendations are a lot to live up to but I have to say that you exceeded our expectations after carrying out our recent move. After unpacking all of our boxes we have the grand total of one broken item which if the truth is known I did not like very much anyway. Although we were very offish following your phone call about our packing skills, for which we both would like to apologise, you did prove that your packers are obviously better than us and it showed as the broken item was in one of the smaller boxes I packed. The service you promised and provided was exceptional and well worth the money, thank you.

Has anyone taken legal action against this company?
If not, does anybody want to join a class action against Movecorp Ltd. (ie a group of customers joining together to share the costs of taking Movecorp to court?

Poor service and keep finding extra charges. Just charged us £1770 over and above what had been agreed. When we paid, thought we might have to pay still more.

As poor service seems to be common, just wondered if anyone would like to join us in taking legal action?

This was our third time of using Movecorp and I am glad to see that the professionalism, trust, care and attention to detail are still outstanding. They seem to go from strength to strength yet still keep the true values of reliability, experience and price. Once again they did a perfect job, nothing broken in transit, the young lads worked extremely hard moving all the furniture from the third floor and it must have been a long day for both of them. We appreciated all their hard work and would like to use this review to express our thanks and commend them and Movecorp for making it a pleasure to do business with you again and I wish you all the success in the coming years.

Just like to say a big thank to the Movecorp staff after our recent move from Scotland to Italy. The removal team were polite, listened to what we wanted and were very hardworking, we did keep the tea/coffee/pop and biscuits flowing all morning so that may of helped? Friends of ours had used them before and said how pleased they were so we gave them a try and I am glad to say that they were brilliant. Their packing service was excellent, took a lot of the time and effort of us and was well worth the little extra.All our possessions were well looked after and arrived in Turin, on the 13th day after collection as promised, with no breakages and a smile and thank you from the driver as the van left. Like our friends, we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for an excellent removal company.

Everything went great. The shipment got here safe and sound and I was really impressed with how everything was handled. If a call was needed to explain a process or answer a question the service received was both professional and efficient. I got to say that the difference between yourselves and other companies I have used is the personal service you give.   Your guys give their name immediately and you can tell they are confident and want to do an awesome job no matter what. Feels weird at first to think you are a valued customer with a name rather than a job sheet number. Will use you again no doubt.    .

We were absolutely delighted with the service you and your team provided and really appreciated the speedy responses and making the process seem so easy and simple. Your wrapping and packing service was worth every penny and showed in the final unpacking by ourselvses. My wife and I would like to thank Movecorp for all their help in carrying out our recent move. Whilst moving from one country to another is inevitably complicated, we have moved twelve times in twenty years so we we know that very well, Movecorp made it all happen smoothly and kept us well informed of progress. What can we say about the move and process except that it was first class and professional. I still cannot believe that you moved all our belongings from sleepy old Cherwell, Oxford to Siracusa, Italy in 12 days! The whole move carried out efficiently, safely and at a fantastic price. You may recall I asked you twice to confirm the price and was only convinced when you confirmed it in writing.
