UK -Vancouver On your head be it Avoid them!

UK to Vancouver. Expense and time wasted due to incompetence of company. Overestimated so we left thing only to find 3/4 full.charged us extra to ship items which could have gone. UK container just sat around, when it did arrive in Vancouver they failed t have the shipment released for the agreed date and now a further 3 week delay, for this end company to find us a slot after they had hounded move-corp to have the container released. Quick to chase for payment slow if none equidistant with customer care! At your own peril use this lot or pay a proper company to do the job. Avoid!

"lost" 3 of 23 boxes.

I shipped 23 boxes of household goods with Schumacher from the US to the UK, Movecorp were their agents in the UK. They took several weeks longer than planned, charged me for extra checks and services not in the original quote twice and then lost three of my very large wardrobe boxes. Movecorp noticed the three boxes were missing two weeks before scheduled delivery to me and did not notify me. On the day of scheduled delivery they first sent out the wrong van and then only notified me, with a chuckle from the staff member, that three were missing. At the time of writing (three weeks later) they are still lost.

Great Service - Recommended.

We considered moving home by hiring a van and getting friends and family in to help. But a friend had recommended using Movecorp and we were so glad that we did!
Knowing a house move to be a highly stressful experience, we decided to pay the extra and get the professionals in.
Sophie in the office was very professional and explained everything from start to finish, arranging the survey, quote and delivery crew. On the day of the move, the delivery men were on time and were well presented and friendly. They arrived in a truck larger than required, which allowed for all our belongings to be comfortably packed and secured. Once at the new property, the crew were happy to place all items where ever we wanted them .. including the shed and into our loft (will only do this if boarded and lit).
Unfortunately we had damage to one item which was a bedside glass lamp. After informing Sophie about the damage and providing Pics, she arranged to send out a Gift Card (for the retailer we had bought it from) within a couple days (very impressive) which allowed us to purchase a replacement straight away.
Overall we were very satisfied with how it all went start to finish. Movecorp definitely took the stress out of the day for us. And I'm certain things wouldn't have gone as smooth had we undertook the move ourselves. We will certainly recommend to friends and family. Thank you Movecorp for all your help.

Awful is the only word.

In my opinion using MoveCorp should be avoided. I booked in for a move, whilst on the phone was asked for payment up front, I explained this made me feel uncomfortable paying for a service I had not yet received, so agreed to pay on the day - cash.
2 movers turned up (nice lads). Asked for payment again before the move took place, I explained the agreement made on the prior Friday, spoke with James on the phone (who was quite patronising and a little rude) and was told 'pay up or we're not moving you'. I explained I was happy to give half and then half once complete, he pushed for payment and I gave in and paid and explained I would share a review (I review all services, good and bad). Paid the cash to the 2 lads and asked them to carry on. Next thing I know they've closed the van doors and are walking into my home telling me they have been told to give me my money back they won't be moving me and the office will call me. This was obviously very distressing as I had complied with all of James' requests.
I then received a call from James explaining they don't want to do business with someone 'like me' who might review them badly, I obviously asked how he thought this review might end up! I was then told I had received the terms and conditions of booking and so knew that I had to pay etc, I explained I hadn't received them. Upon exploring this further it was discovered the email address they were sent to was incorrect!
James did then offer to send the removal men back by at this point I didn't think it would be a good idea to do business with someone who obviously thought I was out to rip them off.

Being a 31 year old girl, moving into my first property this could not have ruined the experience more.

If you would like a hassle free, pleasant move with excellent customer service I would NOT use Move Corp.

Great Job done.

Based on the service we recived for our move, I would definitely be happy to recomend to friends and family. Movecrop actually came recommended to my husband and I from a work colleague who was satisfied with a local move they carried out.

We undertook a partial move from the UK to France after buying a holiday home, so only required to take some homely items.

Comms was good from the off set and I was satisfied with the cost based on what we were moving.

Bet.

Good experience.

This is my second move with this company and once again everything went to plan. Vehicles arrived on time, the lads worded quickly and carefully and everything seemed to be loaded and away in no time. at my new home every box was put in the right room, items that to be reassembled were carried out by Chris, Movecorps handyman, and yet again no breakages, loss or damage. Thank you Movecorp.

Stress free move.

Due to my mothers health deteriorating, I decided to relocate nearer to her. With the stress of work and the relocation, the last thing I needed was a stressful move. I went with Movecorp for my relocation and the process was seamless. Having not moved for around 15 years, I was out of touch with things but have to say, everything was taken care for me without any problems.

Packing service was great!

Shocking Service - DO NOT USE.

Movecorp in my opinion are shocking.

No contact even after 5 weeks of my goods arriving at port for collection.
£150 port charges for delays.
Then further 2 week delay was at there warehouse
Then not delivered inside house as agreed and booked for.
Gave me another customer box.
Took 4 attempts for them to acknowledged and finally collect other parties box.
Never located I missing box even though it was marked and labelled.
No apology or details of actions taken to find.
JUST A SHOCKING EXPERIENCE.

Zero stars.

We paid £5821 to have our container shipped from the UK to Arizona unopened ( the caveat being the US Customs might want to inspect, they didn't ) we where guaranteed that the container would be locked at our door in the UK and shipped to our door in Arizona, a door to door service, that was a con and a lie, the fact that the removers ombudsman upheld my complaint and awarded compensation, which they haven't and won't pay, is testament to the fact that MoveCorp do not deal honest and or fair, our stuff arrived broken and damaged and we had to claim on our own insurance.
Avoid like the plague.

I engaged in Movecorp to move our belongings and spoke with Stuart who made the moving process smooth and had great empathy with our stress. I would defiantly recommend their services. Movecorp be Warned do Not Use This uk Company Under Any Circumstances.

Two years ago I had Movecorp move my household items from Keswick, Cumbria, England to Bellingham, Washington, USA
The movers showed up at the house in Keswick hours late, and with no container just two unmarked small covered trucks. I had done most of the packing myself. They sent me upstairs to continue packing while they moved boxes from downstairs into the two unmarked trucks. I now know they were stealing as they went. I now believe the trucks were taken to another location where thousans of pounds worth of items, family heirlooms, brand new clothing, and other items were stolen. I have contacted the company many, many times, and they never respond. When the container arrived in Bellingham, it was poorly packed, and I could tell immediately, that things were missing, boxes in the container had toppled and fallen over, and the men who unpacked remarked on the poor packing, and told me to contact the Movecorp in England. This company is run by thieves. I am heart-broken to have items of sentimental value stolen by these criminals. It took my life-savings to pay for the move, many items had been purchased for use during my retirement, I cannot afford to replace them. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TOTAL CRIMINALS. This experience was so traumatic to me that I have been emotionally traumatized for more than a year, because of it. All they are interested in is getting your order, once you turn over the cash you are left high and dry. They have not interest what so ever. Customer Service does not exist with this company. I viewed the Movecorp Website, and the foreman who did my move has still has his picture on it, so he has never been terminated. He even made the comment that I was the same size as his wife; how convenient to steal my new clothes, even new underware was taken, beautiful evening dresses and leather/suade coats, all missing. Antiques that had been in my family for generations, antique clock and Chinese vases all missing.

I felt intimidated to sign their papers fearing that if I did not, they would harm my property, well they did any way by stealing. I asked how much more room was left to fill the container and they told me plenty and then left early leaving half of my possessions which are not in storage at a friend's house. The Foreman lied to me, said he had worked for Move Corp for fourteen years and I should be very happy to have him, because he was so experienced. One of the men was covered in tattoos, had rotten teeth and looked like a gaol-bird. I was never compensated one penny by the insurance I paid for. I believe I was totally taken advantavge of because they knew I was an older person and moving abroad. I see this as Elder Abuse. If you want to see your valuables again do not use this company, they told me not to lock things, so that US Customs could inspect, what they meant was, so that they had easy access to steal. It is now two years since this happened to me and I am totally sickened by what these low-lifes have done to me. After sending many E-mails they have never responded, so they must all be protecting eachother. BE WARNED UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMANY. If I had to do it again I should have given everything away, that way I would still have the thousands of pounds they charged me to move, even if everything else was stolen. If I could give them a minus score I would, believe me! They are a thousand times worse than poor! They left me feeling so violated it was like being raped! I have still not unpacked some boxes, because I am sickened to find what else is missing, they numbered some boxes but many suitcases and boxes never arrived, paintings also missing. Delivery not on time, and they never kept me informed. Grandfather clock taken apart and the movers who delivered it did not know how to reassemble, something else I will either have to do, or pay someone else. I gave specific instructions that I wanted soft items packed inside and they didn't do it, also they left the area under my oak table with nothing in it wasting space that I had paid for. Parts of items are missing that were taped to them, and also stolen/vandalised. They even attempted to steal my power tools right in front of my eyes and then denied it. Were they expecting a tip for what they had done? The two men in America who did the delivery were helpful, but not the ones in England.

I feel like writing to the Daily Mirror or a TV Consumer Advocate Show in the UK to expose these thieves.

Untrustworthy, Dishonest, Cheats.

This company is not to be trusted. They totally underestimated the amount of possessions to be packed into the container and then tried to double the charge for the extra few items. They got told where to go..

They sell insurance which they profess to cover all damages and to make sure you insure for the amount it will cost at your destination. This does not matter because they work with an adjuster who will use every trick in the terms of the policy to back out of indemnifying your claim so you’re left with ruined furniture that was new at point of departure. They must be on a back hander with this dishonest outfit.

Stay well clear and save yourself months of headaches and wasted time trying to get answers and resolve issues.

NOT TO BE TRUSTED.. EVER.

Substandard Service.

Movecorp.co.uk provided terrible customer service once they had received payment, I would have to contact them repeatedly for updates. Once our belongings arrived a tea set that had belonged to my Great grandmother was smashed to bits as well as my partners framed signed football shirt and his turntables were in an awful state. They had complete disregard for our belongings and will no recompense us for them! Do not use them.

MoveCorp did a great job.

They are extremely professional and affordable. The guys wrapped all the furniture that we asked and we quick and diligent. Perhaps they did not plan for as big of a move is what I described so some items could not fit in the truck, but we have BIG furniture. The guys worked really hard and took care of each piece of furniture. Going up the stairs in our new home was extremely difficult but these guys managed it. I would highly recommend MoveCorp.

Great Customer Service.

We hired MoveCorp and they were incredible. They arrived exactly at 9 as scheduled, were meticulous, highly professional and treated all our furniture like it was theirs. They work very quickly, efficiently and were an absolute pleasure. We had a large dresser that we didn't think we'd be able to move. These guys figured out how to disassemble and reassemble it and we were able to move the dresser. They are definitely not the cheapest movers but I do believe it was 100% worth it. I felt like they really loved their job, were proud of the level of service they provided and were genuinely excited about our new home! Highly recommend these guys! They are the best!

Awful!

Disgusting behaviour!! Booked into to carry our belongings from Dorset, to California. ONE week!! Before collection, they decide to email on the Friday at half 5 just as they leave work advising that they are increasing the charge by £400.. No explanation, leaving us for the weekend to sort alternative arrangements ONE week before they were scheduled to pick our belongings up. All of this after, we had paid the £50 deposit to 'Secure dates and Prices' a load of cowboys.

Disgusting behaviour, would never recommend.

Bradford to Glasgow.

I was given Movecorps number by one of my friends who had used them five months ago for her house move and she found them to be very professional and trusting.
She told me to get a quote first though because although she was totally happy with them they were not the cheapest quote she had got. Which although I found that to be true with the quotes I received there was not a huge difference and recommendation is worth paying a little extra for peace of mind alone.
The price I was quoted seemed a fair and honest price for the belongings I wanted moving and upon reflection for the amount of work, time and transport used I was very pleased with the price and would recommend them to anyone needing a good removal company.

First ever move.

My wife arranged our first ever move from our 2 bedroom apartment in Bradford to our new house in Birmingham. Movecorp gave us a great price and the sales girl Sue was fantastic talking us through the procedure and putting my wifes mind at rest about the move. Its amazing what you accumulate over two years and although I had my doubts whether it would all fit into the two vans sent, it was no problem at all. The three lads who carried out the move were brilliant, taking off the feet on our massive sofas to get them through doorways, taking off and refitting wardrobe doors where the wardrobes were heavy. The whole job was carried out with no set backs or problems and we were highly delighted with our first move.

MoveCorps Will Rob You In Every Way Possible.

(Moved from the UK to the San Jose, CA in the US, drop downs won't let you select US) I moved using MoveCorp from the UK back to the US in June of 2015. I have never been lied to more, from start to finish. First the estimate went up from the original 490 cubic feet to 550 cubic feet but the final shipping documents show that only 427 cubic feet were shipped. I paid and extra 340 GBP and a total of 3135 GBP for my goods to be shipped. The increase seemed reasonable at the time but clearly they lied and ripped me off for more the very start. They promised me in an email that they would ship my goods within 2 weeks of collection from my home in the UK, it took more than 100 days before they even put my goods on a ship to be shipped to the US. It took a full 146 days for us to receive our goods. When our goods arrived, boxes were missing and my wife's jewelry box was missing. She watched them pack it and noted that some of the items that it was packed with arrived but the jewelry box was not in the box. That's right, they robbed us. There is no other way to put it, they are the only ones that knew which box the jewelry box was in, and they simply opened the box, stole it and re-sealed the box. It was never even documented on the shipping docs so no one else would have even known to look for it. There were lots of other items missing including all of our pots and pans. There were lots of damaged items as well. These guys are the worst in every way possible. If you read the reviews here you will see this is a pattern. This company is a fraud, they will do the worst things and treat you like you don't matter once they take your goods. If they have stolen from you please report them to the police. I have and the police are on to them, there should be some arrests in store for them.

Very bad company.

Be honest I don't know how to start, this company is worst company I ever deal with. I never write reviews but I want to make sure people they don't going be rip off like me. When we were in England they write you every day emails and calls you , when you move abroad they don't know you. You have to chase them when your stuff arrive and when you call them they don't know where the drivers are . The lady (Harley) doesn't have the best of costumers service. I tried call them many times but of the sudden they are busy and they can't talk to you. The stuff arrived nearly one week later, but damaged!! When I talked to them apperantly they can't do anything because our insurance doesn't cover it (until now I don't know why I paid insurance ,not the cheap one !)The drivers put fragile box on the bottom and after two or three heavy boxes on the top and they said it is our fault. They damaged even TV even they knew it is TV there. When you do take insurance make sure you know all details what is cover what not because nobody tell you! I m very angry because I feel very frustrating and cheated because I paid lot of money for this company and they don't care about costumers service!. They damage TV ,sofa and more stuff!!.I m still waiting for they responds but I doubt it someone will do something about it.

Removal to France.

I was happy with the service. The pick-up was on time as was delivery. No damage to my boxes. You have to bear in mind that when you have a small removal the company will part load your stuff into a truck with other removals, which makes it difficult for them to tell the day of delivery at the time of booking. I was told about 5 days before delivery on which day of the following week delivery would take place. Overall a very positive experience. I paid  £540 for 25 boxes plus some small furniture which I found rather cheap compared to other offers.

New life in France.

Our new start in France started with a bit of a delay due to customs both sides and the ongoing immigrant problem but the lorry was only seven hours late so no major issue. When the offloading commenced the lads worked quickly and everything was put in the allocated rooms and they were away within four hours. No breakages or loss and a great move carried out just as we had hoped. We were both happy and satisfied with the service and would recommend Movecorp without hesitation.

Worse moving company ever.

TERRIBLE MOVING COMPANY. Do not use it
We had to move from England to Italy. They were ok to begin with, good quote and good service offered. Once they collected our stuff things started to get wrong: they change extra for extra space they said we used ( even though at the time of collection they assured we didn’t overuse space). They then promise the delivery date in Italy on a certain date and they ended up delivering two weeks later. They didn’t even deliver in the day last agreed but the day before, giving us two hours notice. On the day of delivery they couldn’t unload the truck, as it was too big for the road, even if we gave them the size of the street. We had to pay extra £250 because our stuff had to be delivered to a depot to be them redelivered to us after a week. Worse service ever. We ended up paying more than £ 500 extra.
