Kent to Berlin.

I would like to thank Movecorp for carrying out everything they said they would, timescales, price and the quality of my move. I have moved quite often throughout my life and can honestly say that this was easily in the top three of those moves. James Mallett the sales director was a pleasure to deal with and any question I raised was answered without hesitation, a sign of confidence and expert in his field. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends and personally will use them again in the future if required.

Brilliant quote.

I approached this company for a quote as a friend of mine had used them to move him to Italy and said how good he found them.
Even though I was only moving to France and obviously closer I thought the quote was brilliant compared to what he had paid and accepted it straight away. On the day of removal three guys turned up at 07.30 and were packed and on the road by 11.30 and then it was just a wait for my belongings to arrive in France 10 days later. Sure enough the lorry arrived as agreed was unloaded and put in rooms as requested and five days on everything looks pretty good and I have a nice apartment to come home to from work. Thank you Movecorp for a pleasant reasonably priced move.

My nightmare came true.

When you are going through an international move, you hire and pay professionals to make sure that those parts of the process you can't control (such as shipping boxes) are in good hands. You need to hire a relocation company to collect (and sometimes pack) boxes from "point A" (in my case London) and deliver them to "point B" (in my case Sweden).
I contacted Movecorp to organize my move, we agreed on a pick up date and I paid them 100% in advance. When that day arrived, all my boxes were ready, packed and sealed, but unfortunately they never left "point A".. The collection was initially scheduled between 16.00 and 19.00, but around 16.30 I was informed that the crew was some 3 hours late. The driver would have called me when they were on their way to my apartment.
By 22.00 nobody called me nor knocked on my door, and I didn't have any number to call!! Movecorp provides only one number that is active from 9.00 to 17.30, so should you have an emergency, your only option is to wait the next day - and fall sleep if you can, I didn't.
I was left with all my boxes at "Point A" with less than 36 hours to my plane to Sweden.
The next day I had to call to find out what happened (being proactive is not included in their service) and - as common sense suggests - I thought they would have collected my boxes first thing first in the morning.. but I was wrong. With a "don't worry" attitude, Brodie Holton suggested to rearrange the pick up in a week - without taking in consideration my situation: did they know I was relocating?
As a result of choosing Movecorp, I had to rebook my flights (extra cost that Movecorp didn't want to pay) and rearrange an urgent pick up with another provider (thanks God thare are still some serious companies out there!); again, Movecorp didn't offer to pay the extra cost I had to substain for their mistake.
So, if you are about to relocate abroad, I highly recommend not to choose Movecorp, unless you want your nightmares to come true!

Move Corp - bad service.

Hi,

Used Move Corp for a overseas move of our home. They did not have the agreed boxes when they arrived, so they had to improvise with packaging valuable items. They managed to lost several items and the insurance that they provided (Basil Fry and Co) have no interest to honor their obligation.

Since they have handed over the dialogue to a Removal Claim Service and the approach is similar.

A very frustrating experience and sadly describes a behavior that now will be expected going forward. Overall a really bad company. Carl.

All that could go wrong, DID go wrong!

I used MoveCorp for a move from London to NY (USA was not given as an option in the dropdown above so I couldn't enter than info accurately). I move a lot, because of work so I am well versed in the world of movers and knew enough to ask for a home survey after I receive the quote over the phone to avoid surprises in the cost.MoveCorp's "professional" surveyor came to my home. He opened all cabinets, drawers, closets. Nothing was left unchecked. After his survey he assured me all my items would fit comfortably in one container to the U.S.A. On the day of the move I was told a third of my items would not fit at all and would need to be moved completely separately in another container which would arrive later. I was then told I would be charged a lot more than the quoted price even though that price was based on a survey that their surveyor did at my home. They accused me of adding items after the survey was done, which was not only unprofessional of them but completely ridiculous. As if I would store items off site and then go to the trouble of having them brought to my home on the day of the move.  To make matters worse the crew that arrived was extremely rude and unprofessional. Everything was done wrong, wrapped wrong, etc.  My things arrived in the U.S. in terrible shape. Everything that could have broken had broken. It was awful. We received our things in two shipments. The last shipment was a full three months after our move date. When everything was finally delivered there was an entire chair missing. Not a small box..a chair. If they can lose a chair I am sure they can lose a lot more not to mention all the damage. The chair was finally located by their local affiliate and delivered later. In all this MoveCorp was blatantly unprofessional and rude. Just to get a reduction in the ludicrous amount they were demanding over the initially agreed quote I had to report them to the Removals Ombudsman. If you want a nightmare move, this is the company. If you want something better, please use someone else.  .

Use at own risk.

Although I saw some good reviews online, my experience was unfortunately pretty bad. In short. We agreed a start time of 9am, with the packaging to be expected to take 2-3 hours. After them first trying to change the day of the move (on the day itself), movers ultimately arrived at 430pm without tools and appropriate packing material. Due to that I packed half of the stuff myself (as one of the guys was getting packing materials), although I was charged the full packaging fee, and the movers were not able to finalize the job (a 1 bed room apartment!). Next day, after pleas from my end to finalize the job (as I needed to vacate and clean the place), they come in - again without tools - in the afternoon. Ultimately it took them 2 days to load my belongings.

After my bad experience, it became worse when I finally received my belongings after 5 months (!!). Most of the moving boxes were banged up. Clothes, including suits that were in proper suit bags and in sealed carton boxes, were full of mold. Some clothing I had to through away; even after dry-cleaning. An antique chest arrived partially splintered (as was not packaged properly). Numerous items (incl. bike) and art works were bent and discolored. Some could not be repaired. In addition there were some missing items, incl. an art work. Although I understand things can go wrong in a move, the total experience was just appalling. On top, there was a total lack of service or interest in trying to improve the situation (e.g. no apology whatsoever). So as a conclusion, use them at your own risk!

Great service!

We have booked MoveCorp for our move to Zurich from London.
Our experience was great. Our moving coordinator, Emma was very helpful and she dealt with our inquiries in a timely manner. A big thank you for her help!
The crew that was assigned for our job was very professional and packed everything so well that nothing was damaged.
They were able to answer all our questions and give us tips as well.
Overall, I truly recommend MoveCorp for their professionalism.

Short-notice changes, scratched furniture, unsympathetic manager.

On the whole MoveCorp was a disaster:
Whilst the communication in the lead-up for my very short-notice international move was fantastic, pretty much everything else was terrible. It was agreed (and fully paid for) to have my stuff picked up on a Thursday (for which there were good reasons). 3 days prior to the move I was informed that this would no longer be possible due to a sick driver. It strikes me as odd that a large removal company, specialied on international moves, could not find another driver to fulfill an already paid for contract. The onus was on me to arrange an alternative date for the pick up which was immensely stressful and difficult due to the lack of time. When I complained to the manager after having accommodated the company (not vice versa), he had the grace to call me but was very unsympathetic towards my experience, basically saying that "you had agreed to the change of plans so why are you complaining now"? Because in the emails that were exchanged it was made clear that if I didn't change the pick up date, the pick up would not happen (leaving me with 3 days to arrange an alternative pickup).

The actual guys picking up my stuff in London were very good and efficient. The people delivering my stuff in Germany a few weeks later were terrible. It took them forever to carry my possessions into my flat. That would not have been so problematic but my furniture was scratched, in some cases badly, because it had been deemed unnecessary to wrap the large pieces at all. No apologies or explanations, possibly because the staff spoke neither English nor German. When I complained to MoveCorp about this, I received no reaction at all, other than an email saying it would be mentioned to the manager.

On the whole, using MoveCorp was a) the most expensive and b) the worst and most stressful aspect of my move. For a company that supposedly specialises in international moves, they did a terrible job, being unreliable, inflexible and unsympathtic. Very disappointing.

Don't use Movecorp.

Our international move was a disaster. They were careless with our furniture damaging it when taking it apart. The team leader was rude and unhelpful and they didn't send enough packers. The driver of our container threatened to leave with the container half packed and my husband had to help pack up and put things in the truck till 10 at night. One of the most stressful and horrible experiences I have ever had with these people. After arrival there was a lot of damage meaning a big insurance claim for us.

Long-distance move from London, Greater London to Oxford, Oxfordshire

London to Oxford.

Wife and I found our dream house online and found the Movecorp site by accident so we gave them a ring and three days ago the move was completed and everything went well. James at Movecorp asked if we would mind sharing our experience by completing a review on this site so here we go. We thought the quote we received was a bit high but after getting two more quotes we realised how much moving house had gone up and that Movecorp were in fact the cheapest of the three. On the day of moving the two vans arrived on time and were packed and heading off remarkably quickly. At our new home the vans arrived, unloaded into designated rooms and when unpacked everything was in perfect condition. Communication was excellent throughout and we are now settled in our new home and we would like to thank Movecorp for their contribution.

Very pleasant moving company.

The movers came when they said they would. They packed everything in one truck like I requested. They arrived on time in new home, and set everything up they were responsible before they left. The foreman was so honest and sincere, and willing to do things that weren't really his responsibility. No damage and scratches. Very pleasant moving company.

Awful service and lost box - London to Abu Dhabi.

I am very disappointed with the service provided by this company. They collected my boxes on the 16th of August. I did not recieve them until 22nd November despite being told delivery would take between 8-10 weeks. There was also a box missing. I was told to 'give them some time to find it'. Despite waiting, they have not been able to locate it and have stopped replying to my emails.

If you value the items you are shipping. Do not use this company.

Movecorp were used by a company in Abu Dhabi, so check who they use to handle the move in the UK if you are relocating to this part of the world.

Extremely Poor Service.

Stay away. They are dishonest with their quotes. They will quote you a standard 8-12 week delivery but in reality will take your stuff and wait until the container fills up - they won't tell you this or update you. I was shipping from London to LA, they took my stuff in Sep17 and are estimating end of Mar18 to clear customs. If you feel that you don't want your stuff and don't like communication then this is the company for you. Never again.

The worst company I have ever dealt with.

Do not use this company! 7 months it took to ship my items from uk to us! It finally arrived amd everything was damaged! Waste of time dealing with these people. Nothing but issues from start to finish. None of them have any sort of common decency or people skills. The way they greet customers is astounding “what do you want now” or “what do you want me to do about it” says it all about the kind of company. James Mallet and Kate have honestly been the worse people I have ever had to deal with in my life. I never write on these kind of things but this company really needs stopped!!

Worst service ever.

I had 80kg of personal items to send from London to Australia. I paid for airfreight door to door service and paid £750. I was expecting to get it delivered within the weeks. It ended up taking 6 weeks and I had to call up everyday to push it along and get an update. The service is sent over to third party provider called Transglobal. Transglobal could not give me clear answers as to why it took so long. I then found out that someone had created 2 cases for my delivery. I then found out that they were looking for my items in the warehouse whilst in fact it was already in Australia at that time. I was then asked to provide itemised list to Australia then again by Transglobal. The whole process was terrible. I have used Movecorp in the past as I move for work a lot. Never again.

Be prepared to wait!

Let me be clear, I was extremely happy with Movecorp on all but one point: timelines of delivery.
Movers were professional, though didn’t come with appropriate boxes they still made it work. In a one bed apartment the only damaged items were a couple of pint glasses, pretty impressive.
Price is definitely good.
But you will wait FOREVER for your stuff. I was moving UK to US. A month after my projected delivery window had ended the container STILL hadn’t left Britain.
Everything finally arrived and fortunately I was able to borrow most things I needed during this time but if I had been counting on my stuff I would have been in trouble.

I have no hesitation in recommending them most highly.

Having used this company before for the previous move, it was logical to use them again, given how helpful they were in getting us out of the previous packing bind, which happened again this time. I cannot fault their patience and kindness in dealing with our problems. They were very easy to keep in touch with at the office, and most courteous. They turned up on time on both days and got straight down to business, with no time wasted. They took the stress of the move away. I would highly recommend them.

Yet another victim from MOVECorp.UK .

All I have to say is do not use them!!
Better off throwing your stuff in a ditch.
My family and I mrelocated from South Africa to Spain.
The stuff, only 7 cubic meters, took only a month from SA to the UK
It took 4 monthes to leave the UK to get to Spain but then again it is understandable : Movecorp had taken over.
On delivery date, after I had paid for full delivery to the 4th floor, they come with a massive truck that could not possibly fit the streets of any town in Europe.
The Truck sits there 1 KM  from my house and they expect me to come and unload with my car!!
They blamed me for not telling them that the truck wouldn't fit, hello here you are the one who agreed in doing the removal in the first place!!They had the address for over 6 monthes. No problem when it was time to collect the money.
I've had various removals done in the past at the same address without any problem as what any company does is bring the stuff to location in a smaller size truck.
Totally unprofessional.
Staff is rude and totally despotic.
They threatened to take the stuff back to the UK or unload at another location to another local company and have them redeliver at my expense.
I didn't have the choice and had to pay again for something I had largely paid before.
As I am sitting here waiting for my stuff, I have already been told by the driver that some of my stuff is broken.
Will definitely check everything thoroughly as I don't think my issues with Movecorp have ended yet.
Do not think that this only happens to me, the driver told me it happens all the time, as you can imagime they come with massive international truck which can not take turns or any city street in general
Shame on you Move corp, total disgrace of a removal company.
 DO NOT USE MOVECORP.

Do Not Use - Movecorp.

Our goods were collected on the 24th of August for delivery to Singapore. It is now the 7th of December and we have been informed by the girl Becky that the container hasn't left the UK yet and they don't know when it is going to happen! All we keep hearing is 'sorry, we should have an update in a week's time'. This is a complete disgrace! It looks like a three month lead time is going to turn into six months. Please avoid this company! (Please note this website did not allow me to chooce Singapore as the delivery location so I picked a random one).

The worst shipping company to deal with.

This is the first and last time I will ever use this company. This company do not only rip off clients but are the worst in customer service. Starting from the employees Andrea and Michelle to the manager James. The service I requested was a simple door to door service, however through them has been the worst nightmare. On the top of that, due to the wrong info given in relation to pick up my belongings, they wanted me to pay an extra £350 for the so called 'premium service' which I did not accept. Their attention to detail is terrible and I had to sort out my own shipment through the company they use, as they couldn't be bother to follow it up. Business like those should be closed.

I used EU Removals to move from London to Bournemouth. The customer service was excellent and they made the move stress free. They packed and unpacked my furniture with care and the cost was very very reasonable.

I had to put my furniture into storage for a month and they ensured everything was stored with care exactly to my instructions. I would and have recommended this removal firm to my friends and family. So glad I used them!

Hard to give any stars at all!

Last year, while briefly in England, I hired MoveCorp to ship a wooden cradle, beautifully hand-built by now-deceased my father for his first grandchild. I was expecting my own first grandchild and hoped to give the cradle as a gift to my son. I was not able to oversee packing but was assured great care would be taken. The package delivered in Texas held the remains of the cradle broken into 17 pieces, in a battered cardboard box. MoveCorp refused any refund of the almost $900 shipping cost! Beware. Unfortunately, as we were dealing with another family crisis and the property was received by my in-laws, I do not have photographs.

Worst company ever (Chasing all clients).

The worst company ever
The worst company ever, we have shipped our goods from dubai to Poland after we have paid all the cost, then we received mail from movecorp stating that they have received our goods and we have to pay VAT, we have transferred to their bank account the VAT then they started to chase us as for another fees then we explained to them by bills that we have paid all the cost to dubai agency the. Movecorp asked us to pay 1500AED as per dubai agent then we showed them again that we paid everything, after while movecorp sent us mail stating that they cannot reach dubai agency to collect their money so we must pay movecorp 1980£ which is the cargo cost to movecorp since dubai agency has stolen them, so we got surprised that this is not our responsibility and must be contract between each other and movecorp must ship our goods to Poland becuase this is not our fault espically that there is no agreement between us and movecorp except they sent mail stating they have our goods and asking us for money, anyhow we are trying with them since 17th of May 2017 until now and we have moved and settled in London and we have asked movecorp again that no need to ship our goods to Poland and release it to us in UK but they insisted to chase us for such huge amount and even now their managing director is not replying to our mails and his employees never replying to our mails and no helpful at all and they always thinking from their way of communication that they breaching law and they don’t care and they don’t understand that this is not our responsibility if they have agreement with company and they didn’t pay them and does not make sense at all to pay almost 2000£ for personal goods of me and my wife and my baby we using since 4 years. That’s not fair at all, UK has the most strong law and clear law over the world so how come such company is chasing clients like that.
We have all the details and proofs whether documents or mails or payments done to movecorp or dubai agency, you can contact me anytime and will provide you with all, and if you googling the company name then you will see how many times they chasing clients until now. Their managing director is the worst person I have even seen in business communication or even personal life.
