An extremely disappointing service. The move was in fact from the UK to Bulgaria, but the drop down menu doesn't offer that option. Communication regarding the pickup of my furniture was poor and last minute.The guys who came to collect however were good and efficient. I booked with Movecorp as I was assured the move would be made in 7-10 days of collection, max. This turned out to be a fiction. Like others who have posted here, I was told that my furniture 'didn't fit' and so was held up for two weeks. Considering the total capacity I was moving was a mere 6 cubic metres, I was surprised. I had arranged to be in Bulgaria to coincide with the predicted arrival of the goods with plenty of time either side in case of some hiccups, but ultimately had to return to the UK without the goods being delivered. When they were delivered, they were damaged, despite the fact that, both the guys who collected the furniture, and (apparently) the man who delivered it commented on how well wrapped the items were. Communication with me was poor - I had to do all the chasing up. The insurance cover proved to be useless and an 'apology for any inconvenience' was all that was offered. Well it was extremely inconvenient from the outset - and I would not recommend this company nor use them for future removals. They were swift and efficient in only one area: collecting their money upfront.

How do you move the entire contents of a flat from Wimbledon to America? Call Movecorp, get a brilliant quote, instruct them and just sit back and take it easy. I must say that you exceeded my expectations and I feel a bit guilty now about haggling over the price but that’s businessmen, always trying to do a deal. The information you provided and the courtesy of the staff was first class, the guys were hardworking and careful and the move was perfect. I will certainly recommend you to family, friends and business associates.

Don't know what happened with the customer of the previous review but perhaps we have been lucky when we have used Movecorp? But in saying that this was our fifth time of using Movecorp and our fifth time of being highly delighted with yet another superbly handled move so that can't all be down to luck. They always take the stress out of the process and ensure our items arrive at the stated time, intact and undamaged as well as keeping us informed at every stage of the process and only supplying information that we need to know. We can never understand why the company do not always use them but their loss is our gain. See you soon no doubt.

Here is my story..

The initial pick-up was performed on the 23 of August at Stafford UK. The destination place is in France, in a hamlet where we have a 'campaign' house.

The delivery has been promised and delayed multiple times. My wife and I had to travel to that place twice, waiting for a truck which was cancelled at the last minutes on several occasions.

Finally, the truck reached that hamlet on the 5th of October, but then, the drivers decided not to deliver, claiming it is not an 'easy access'. For the record, four years before, another company did deliver half of our belongings to that place without any complaint. At that time, the other part of our belongings were delivered to Stafford.

Finally, everything has been stored inside some neighbour’s garage, thanks to their kindness. Consequently, my wife and I had to get there during the weed-end in order to move back our belongings to our place. It took us only 3 hours.

Last point, we discovered that our micro-wave oven was broken and the washing machine has a significant scratch on it.

The various useless trips to this delivery place have cost more than 500£, without counting the loss of 5 days of work for my wife an I.

I am hoping to get some significant compensation for all the trouble we have endured.

After 4 years in the UK, where most of the time our customer’s experience was excellent, this is the worst customer experience I ever had.

I would like to thank this website for offering me the chance to choose Movecorp to carry out my recent move. Having moved to my last house in 1998, I have to say that I had no idea of  removal companies in the local area or what kind of price I should be paying. After reading reviews and checking costs, I opted to go for Movecorp on the majority of positive reviews coupled with their approximate cost. After receiving their quote and the whole move being completed to my satisfaction I am glad to say that I chose the right company and wish Removalreviews and Movecorp every success for the future.

Just finished using Movecorp for a move from Cambridge to Switzerland and would like to express my findings. The office staff I had contact with were friendly and very approachable if I had any questions, queries or worries. The removal guys were smart, friendly, hardworking, professional and committed to their work. There was a total well organised order of what would happen and when, if anything went wrong who to contact, should anything get damaged the procedure of making a claim. To number crunch, I would give 10 out of 10 for professionalism, timing, care, execution, staff and 9.5 for cost, middle range of 5 quotes.

I wish I had read some of these comments before using this company. They are simply crooks. Their insurance is worthless - to be honest I am not even sure if the money they charge you for insurance is actually paid to an insurance company.  This company is great if you want to downsize - because 50% of your belongings will turn up broken. The boxes were all packed well, but they were so battered round that the boxes had all broken. The broke speakers, plates & cups, glasses (1 left out of 6). Writing 'fragile', 'delicate' or 'breakables' or even marking with the special tape is just irrelevant to these guys. When they unloaded they didn't even notice that they were piling boxes with books in on top of boxes marked 'fragile'.. They even managed to rip books..!! How did they do it? They broke the boxes so much (I can only imagine they were thrown) that the books came out - when they 'repacked' them they did it so badly that covers were ripped. My best advice - avoid. Cause you won't get your insurance back. They say you aren't covered cause they didn't pack!!

Are you for real? I have just used Movecorp for a move from Cambridge to Switzerland and they were absolutely brilliant. Any queries or answers were sorted immediately, insurance explained fully. I decided on Movecorp to wrap and pack and they were brilliant. You say that all the boxes were broken, impossible, they must have been your own cheap boxes as theirs are substantial and strong. Perhaps you should have spent a little more money and got them to pack against penny pinching and spouting libellous accusations. You can't blame someone else for your mistakes?

This company is totally incompetent. My furniture was estimated via the internet and on collection I was informed it was four times over the amount quoted. Despite informing the removal men I only had a certain amount to spend I left half of my furniture in a friends garage so I could afford to ship the items that I could afford at the time. The removal men indicated when I had reached my quota. When my goods arrived in the UK I received an email stating there was 156 cubic feet. Four weeks later I receive another email stating I have 250 cubic feet.  I was informed in the first paragraph of the email that I now had to pay another £500 and in the second paragraph they had broken my TV which I had paid insurance for. After a number of telephone calls and emails the director suggested as the stand was broken the TV should be hung on the wall or a bracket made for it. I had to ask for my Insurance certificate and have been informed that my goods will remain in the port until I pay out the extra money. I have been forced into over £500 of debt against my will. This company do not send out anyone to estimate the goods it is all done by internet and they subcontract out the work. Do not touch them with a barge pole! Nothing but problems.

What a pleasant surprise to actually pay for and receive an excellent service! Movecorp have been outstanding in the way they have handled our move from Farnborough to Nijmegen, Holland. Nothing was too much trouble, Elisia and her director James were both pleasant and professional, Mark and Craig the removal lads were cheerful, polite and extremely hard working all day. I have no reservation in saying that our move went without a hitch, the timing, packing and unpacking was precise and this was definitely thanks to them. We would strongly recommend Movecorp removals to anyone who wants a great service and good value for money.

I have been meaning to contact you to say a very big thank you for our recent move but you know the way it is, something else always comes up. Anyway everything arrived safely and its so strange to see your furniture and belongings in a new home along with items you kept in store for us. I have to say the service I received from Movecorp was exemplary, from the first phone call I received from you in response to my email to the day of delivery it seemed everyone had a " yes we can do that " attitude. A few words about the overall review of how our move went from the UK to Florida with Movecorp.

Well I glad to say that everything went like clockwork. The shipment arrived on time with no damage, breakages or loss and this is a tribute to your well priced expert packing service. We were very impressed with the overall handling of the move and the assurance that any question we had was answered personally by James or Elisia, The personal service we received was something our friend told us about but it was so refreshing to experience it first hand and in a professional, friendly manner. I always like to feel that when I instruct a company to carry out work for me, I have checked all the boxes and can feel reasonably confident that everything will go well. After checking you out on Removalreviews and a couple of other sites, I am glad to say that it is well worth checking. If you have received great service you should let people know so here we go. Moving from England back to Australia was always going to be a daunting experience but upon making my first call to Movecorp I got the impression perhaps it may not be so overwhelming after all. From that first call through to the arrival of the belongings in Sydney the service was outstanding.Even the postponement of the move from August to February was handled professionally and the initial quote honored. Its so refreshing to come across a company that are committed to giving customers first class service and I wish you every success for the future. 5 Star Company.

They were very nice and helpful until I paid them and then and customer service went right out the window. I was moving a single piece of furniture, a family heirloom that my father left me, from England to my home in California. After several phone calls and emails they finally gave me date that suited them for the collection of the furniture. My brother kindly took the day off work to be at his home from where the furniture was being collected, however, when I called Movecorp to make sure they had collected it they told me that their van had broken down. They hadn't even bothered to call my brother! All the sappy girl could say was, "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do." She really couldn't have cared less. My brother gave them several dates that were convenient to him but none of those worked for Movecorp. So again, he took off another day from work and this time the furniture was collected. They held my shipment for weeks after at their depot giving me all sorts of excuses as to why it hadn't left yet. I asked them to confirm its safety and whereabouts but they never did. It took 4 months for them to ship a 4'x3'x1' crate from England to LA! I could have sailed it myself faster. 
There is no option on this form for destination USA. .

Thanks for your follow up email. First off I would like to say that your guys in the UK and in Italy were wonderful. There were a few little hiccups with our packing, wifes fault…, but your guys sorted it with no dramas and nothing seemed too much trouble. I must say that in a hard tiring job your guys are a credit to your company. The service that Movecorp provided from initially getting a quote right through to the help I received in Australia to ensure I completed all documentation correctly was faultless. After moving into my own apartment and living there for five years, I was amazed when I realised just how much I had acquired in those five years and that I was going to instruct a company to move it all half way round the world. A mild case of panic was offset by the support, knowledge, service and understanding of the staff and the welcome comment “most customers are understandably worried but they soon realise that everything will be okay”. I must say that I was shocked at how cheap the quote was when you consider it can cost you £10.00 to send a small parcel in the UK. I would like to thank the guys in the UK and Australia for the great service they provided and especially the guys who wrapped and collected my belongings in the UK and did such a great job that everything arrived exactly as it left . I used MoveCorp because they offered a good rate and I have read some good reviews on the website - after my experience I am wondering how true they are! I was moving from London (UK) to Frankfurt (Germany) end of 2012 and I had 5 boxes in total. Yes, only 5! I couldn't buy insurance because I didn't have enough boxes - or that is what they told me. They also said the boxes would arive within 10 days which was ok because it was a holiday season anyway. A couple of days in 2013, no word from anyone about my boxes.. When I asked what is going on, they told me that apparently there was a strike somewhere on the road and they don't know when my boxes woud arrive! The boxes finally got there one week after the original date, but I was very disappointed when they came.. 1st I was in work and no one even bothered to call me to say my boxes are in Frankfurt and ask how would I like to get them. So they were dumped at my neighbours who clearly couldn't comment on how they looked like. When I got home, I immediately noticed ALL of them were opened and taped back together. 2 things were stolen from 2 boxes - my PS3 and all the video games, and the most interesting thing is that my PS was at the bottom of the box, so someone opened it, took the console and put everything back together as I packed it! From another box someone took my used boots, when right next to the boots there was a box of new UGGs with the pricetag on! Seriously, who steals used boots? That is so sad.. Anyhow I contacted their Service people who obviously said "oh something like this never happened before". Sure I couldn't prove exactly what was stolen because I foolishly didn't take any pictures when packing, and had no receipts of the stolen merchandise. In the end I gave up fighting because I saw this has no point - they would never reimburse a dime! In the end value of the stolen goods was higher than the actual move itself! Executive summary: AVOID and don't be fooled by good reviews cos they are probably fake!

Movecorp is simply the best for international shipping, prompt, effective, honest, fair and most or all they care about what they do. We were moving to the US from the UK and made plans with a well known shipping company, 1 week before we were due to have our items picked up they informed us all boxes would need to be 25KG or less and we needed to repack. We had 30 Boxes, after speaking with the very rude ops manager we decided to find someone else. By chance we came across Movecorp on a Saturday afternoon. We spoke to James and he handled everything so professionally and calmly. They collect our boxes the following Tuesday (the collecting guy was simply awesome and moved like flash). They repacked whatever boxes were overweight and took care of everything. Simply the best effective service which made the hassle of moving very easy. I highly recommed Movecop to anyone moving!
