Clockwork Removals & Storage

To anyone thinking of using Clockwork Removals, BEWARE!! I recently used them to move home and just a few hours later found several very expensive valuables to be missing. Drawers that had been moved intact had clearly been rummaged through, the valuables missing yet the boxes where the items were kept were open and left empty in the drawer. No one else had access to these items during the move. Other than ask the moving team whether they stole the items (no one confessed, shockingly) Clockwork has refused to do anything about the theft or offer any form of resolution.

We even took out specific moving insurance with Clockwork, only to be told these items aren't covered, effectively enabling items to be stolen without any recourse. Luckily that insurance did cover the wardrobe that was broken during the move, the banister that was ripped from the wall and all the marks and chips that have been taken from numerous walls throughout the house.

Utterly shocking behaviour and I would not recommend using this firm unless you want to risk your valuables disappearing.

We couldn't have asked for a better removal company! Not only were they reasonably priced but they were completely professional and moved our possessions with extreme care. Our mover Luke was fantastic and completely took the stress out of moving even with our four young children! On the move day they were on time and moved us quickly ensuring that all our possessions were placed in the correct rooms. They ensured that the beds and sofa were ready to go and even reassembled our babies cot. 1st class treatment from a 1st class company.

Service cost: £541

Would definitely use Clockwork again. The whole removal process from quote to moving day was smooth and stress free.
Philip came on time, early morning the day before moving, along with all the boxes and wrapping and packed up the entire contents of whole 3 bed flat by mid afternoon. ( Leaving me with bed/tv/kettle and anything else I needed overnight) He clearly explained everything he'd be doing and checked with me about what I wanted leaving/what was precious etc and what the process would be the next day.
He was friendly and polite, professional & calm ( what I needed! )

The next morning Philip returned with Simon and Sebastian ( both friendly and polite ) and they calmly packed up the boxes into the van along with the furniture and the table and bed that needed dismantling. They worked tirelessly and had it all done and ready by midday!
Unpacking at the other end was also smooth and calm and swift. They checked in with me regularly to see where I wanted thing to go and when I changed my minds a few times they were more than happy to move things about! Table and bed reassembled no problem.

I was moving house on my own and was quite stresses & daunted by the buying/selling process and all that's involved, so to have such great service with regard to the actual removal part of the move was just wonderful.

This is the 3rd time I have used Clockwork for moving (two house moves and a large office move) in the last 3 years and I will definitely be using them again, should I require removal services in the future.

Their removals guys are very friendly, helpful and professional. They go out of their way to make sure things run smoothly for you at both the pick up and delivery. This time I used their packing service which didn't cost that much more but made life so much easier for me and took some of the stress out of the move.

Overall a really fantastic service. Thank you :-).

I selected Clockwork Removals for this momentous house move after obtaining several quotes from various national & local companies.
From the initial house survey & quotation right through the various stages including the full packing & removal service, the staff at Clockwork were exemplary in every way.
All staff I spoke to at the Wimbledon office & met on the actual moving day were extremely courteous and totally professional.
Their unstinting hard work made this move go as well as I could ever imagine.

We booked Clockwork removals to carry out the packing and moving service in end of June in SW London.
They promised high standards and charged an arm and a leg so we thought they would be professional but to our horror and surprise the porters stole my three costly designer watches. As moving is such a stressful process that have to arrange so many things with estate agents/solicitors etc between the exchange of contracts and move so we were so busy in arranging these things that even we removed the valuables like cash and jewelry but completely
forgot to remove /pack my designer watches by ourselves. They all were costly designer watches in the cabinet and as all items were left to the porters to pack so during the move the porters have stolen the Three designer watches. After moving in I realized that something is fishy and watches are missing but there were so many boxes so I self-assured myself that it might be packed in any other boxes and will get it eventually but to my disappointment after opening and checking every single box and everywhere I couldn't find these watches. I was really surprised that how the porters can steal something during the move and to highlight this to the management when I called
the office management was very unhelpful and uncooperative to resolve it. I am really disappointed with the attitude of management and I just think maybe they are used to getting this type of complaints on regular basis! Overall experience pathetic and sincere advise not to use Clockwork again! Very Unpleasant experience!

I recently moved with Clockwork removals after having them store my belongings for over a year. On the removal day, the removal men were rushing so much they dropped my Steinway piano, 3 feet from the lorry and severely damaged the laquer and presumably the interior too. On top of that, they damaged two beautiful lampshades from Porto Romano which I had treasured for 10 years. Although immediately taking for responsibility (both removal team and head office) they have now washed their hands of all responsibility and have passed me over to their cheap insurers who are haggling over everything and are only offering to pay me a fraction of the original cost for the lampshades and refusing to service the piano which is outrageous when it was so badly damaged.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: £2000

With no firm date for the move out and no firm date for the move in, I had to plan for all possibilities. Some items went into storage before we started. Clockwork were extremely flexible and even planned for the possibility of not getting into the new home when we hoped. We didn't get into the new home when we hoped, but Clockwork had arranged storage nearby. My possessions came out of storage a week later and I moved in, completely trauma-free thanks to Clockwork. And nothing was broken or damaged. The cost included items into storage, storage, items out of storage, move out of home, transport everything south, into storage again, storage, then out of storage again and into the new home.
