Clockwork Removals & Storage

After 40 years in the same house, it was a bit daunting to move into another property.Clockwork Removals were excellent. From the initial Quote . We did our own packing with boxes collected from Clockwork. On the day of the move " The 2 Johns" emptied the house in record time and said they would see us at the new address. When we arrived there were 4 men to decant our furniture.. Full marks for service and efficiency..Also Flora in the Office who was extremely helpful , guiding us through the process.

During a very difficult period in my life the Clockwork team provided removals and storage over a three month period and I would highly recommend their service. Flora and Adam reacted promptly to persistently changing circumstances, due to legal matters, in the office and basically kept me calm and coping throughout this time. Nothing was too much and solutions were always provided which benefited me. I met two crews over this period and they were brilliant, friendly, very efficient and hard working. My goods were returned to me from storage in the same condition and Flora was excellent about keeping me informed and processing payments online. Whatever problem I threw at them, they managed quietly and efficiently and I was so thankful for their support. The service cost below includes dividing goods from a five bedroom house into two which required removal into two 7.5 tonne trucks and then storage over three months.

My move with Clockwork was a painful, frustrating and distressing experience. Although theirs were the most expensive (by far) of three quotations, I chose Clockwork as I'd had an excellent experience with their predecessors, Gerards, on a previous move. Confidence was further inspired by their representative calling out to see what was involved. My move involved three stages: 1. initial emptying of my previous house 2. storage 3. final removal to my new house. Stage 1: This went well although I was rather taken aback by the condition of the portable 'wardrobes' which were grubby, had clearly been previously used well beyond their lifespan and were in a state of near collapse. Stage 2: When I was finally given an entry date for my new property (a new-build), I had to wait several weeks later for Clockwork to fit me into their busy schedule before they could deliver my contents from their storage (resulting in more temporary rental). Stage 3: Shambolic from start to finish. my contents mixed up with those of another customer(s) carefully packed boxes clearly marked 'fragile' squashed and bent (contents correspondingly damaged) heavy items loaded on top of weaker items which would obviously be damaged (and were) polished surfaces of furniture scored, scraped and damaged (boxes carelessly slid across their unprotected surfaces) items broken and/or damaged beyond repair during unloading several items 'lost', one of which was a dishwasher . (I had to threaten to report it as stolen to the police to get it back. On its subsequent delivery to me, the sticky label which I had firmly affixed to show its destination had mysteriously been removed and, worse, the side casing to the dishwasher had been seriously damaged, whether accidental or, some cynics might suggest, deliberate I have no way of knowing but it was a major bash.) On taking these matters up with them, I encountered the expected "oh, but have you read the terms and conditions", "take it up with your insurance company", etc, etc without any comment about their reckless negligence. Overall, an excruciating experience which only now, after several months of battle, has been very unsatisfactorily finalised. Frankly, I'd have been better entrusting my belongings to a gang of juvenile delinquents.

Thisi is the second time we have used Clockwork Removals to move our household furniture and effects in the last 2years.
The first move was from Perth City to Dundee City.
This last move was from Dundee City to Newport-on Tay.
On both occasions the removal was very smooth and the 2 men were very caring with our possessions.
Steven Baxter & Craig Richardson were very professional and took the items with great care making the move less stressful for my husband and myself who are in our seventies.
We can't praise them enough and we recommend this company if you every want to use their services .

I wasn't as prepared as I should have been but Brian & Craig were calm & easy and directed me to what I needed to do whilst they got on with the loading. I took a look in the van when most of it was in and so amazed at how well they'd fitted everything in - loads more space for the rest. That takes some skill. I moved to a flat with no garden so they agreed to take my wooden sunlounger to my daughter's house very close by - much appreciated.

In July 2018 the whole family were moved overnight from Dundee to Newcastle. You can imagine the stress involved but from the outset it was clear that Brian, Fraser, Craig (and the other one) knew exactly what they were doing. They were friendly, relaxed and polite - and even though it was very hard work managed to complete the task in good humour. Everything was packed properly and there was no damage to anything when unpacked at the other end. Beds were reassembled quickly. Overall, delighted with our choice of removers and would use them again.

Clockwork, A great Service, I recently moved my four bedroom home, this is stressful enough but add in two kids and a wife then stress levels go through the roof.

The service provided by the team at clockwork was very professional, the team were very light hearted and made the whole move almost fun.

With a wife stressing the team were always very polite and adapted to my wife's many changes of placement of furniture the team took it in their stride, it was nice to see them go the extra mile with customer satisfaction.

I cannot thank the team that moved my house enough, and also Clockwork for sending a team that were well versed in what they were doing, it was evident that the team had worked together for some time and were great friends, this made the whole move more efficient less stressful.

We have just moved from three locations in to one this was a stepped move so took a lot of organisation on my part. Rob came to quote and seemed really affable so although the quote was more we put our trust in clockwork. IT all went wrong.

Firstly they rang me up 2 weeks before because they had forgotten what was where. Then they sent the van to the wrong place first so the gentlemen had to make an extra stop to drop off plant pots otherwise they would have had to move them twice. After an hour or so I asked where the items that had been in storage were and was faced with blank faces. They had not even brought them. I rang Rob and when he rang me back he said there would be an extra charge for that. I explained to him that we had discussed everything at the original meeting but he could not remember and notably NEVER said sorry. He then said they would deliver on Friday for an extra charge of £174. I said can you refer it to your manager. No one rang me back. On Friday I waited in and finally got an email saying ring if you want your stuff delivering. I rang and spoke to a gxxxt who said I had to drive to attercliffe and bring a form that had been supposedly emailed to me. I refused so he said BYE and put the phone down.j am very upset that no one said sorry for the mistake and if I had known they would be do rude I would have picked a different company as a result I have slept on the floor for 2 nights and had to pay £174 for the privilege. This us a tin pot company who have bought a good name do not use them.

THE ACTUAL REMOVAL MEN WERE FABULOUS REALLY HELPFUL AND HARD-WORKING.

Our office move was based in Sheffield so we used Clockwork. We had already used Clockwork before which was the main reason for getting them in to quote. Not only was the quote the cheapest they still provided an excellent service. From the guy's in the office to the guy's that do the removals you get a friendly, helpful and professional service. If we ever move again (which is likely) we will be more than happy to use Clockwork again. I would definitely recommend this company.
