City-Removals and Storage

This is my second time to use City Removals. I was happy for their service before, but not this time.

They packed roughly on 1 Sep 2020. All stuff fell off during my unpack.

Moved on 2 Sep 2020. They broke one of my wall lamps and my mirror. They will contribute good will gesture for this. But I have not yet received.

We requested collection of cartons on 14 Sep. They agreed to collect on 19 Oct. But no one showed. The next collection of cartons is 1 Oct. I need to keep the cartons for 2 weeks. Too late! They asked me to recycle the cartons by myself if I can't wait. Collection of cartons included in the packing service price. They are responsible on this, but they failed.

I think this was a complicated move - large house, some stuff being left behind, storage required due to cock-ups with completion dates, different room configuration at destination - and they dealt with it splendidly.  Really professional and hard working, I had complete confidence in them from the moment they arrived.  Thoroughly recommended.
The only problem they had (that I was aware of) was a lack of drivers on the delivery date, due to problems with another job over-running.  Given that in a growing company being run efficiently such problems are inevitable, I was impressed with their handling of it.

I recently used City Removals for a complex move from our 5 bedroom family home into a storage unit located in a garden given we were relocating due to business.

We got frustrated with other removals companies finding our requirements too complex to understand or accurately quote whereas from the first moment we engaged with City Removals I was impressed by their professionalism and speed of service. I had a representative on site the very next day to assess the property and belongings and a quote the day afterwards. Their quote was simple to understand and clear that it included disassembly and reassembly (if required) of furniture which other providers liked to add as an additional cost which they charge a phenomenal amount for in my opinion.

We booked the team at short notice without any fuss at all despite being within the Christmas Period and they arrived onsite early on the day ready to begin. They were then like an express train through the property, moving and dissembling furniture diligently at an incredible speed and providing comprehensive furniture wrapping and covers to ensure everything is protected in the move. They worked hard throughout the day and took the stress out of the move repeatedly telling me that I needn't get involved or help them. At the end of the day having loaded everything into storage the team remained and were continually ensuring nothing else needed doing before leaving the site.

Prior to this move I have always taken care of my own removals renting vans and relying on friends and family but after the experience with City Removals I will never do so again. I recommend them incredibly highly and will use again next time we move either personal or business.

What a fantastic service we received from City Removals! Exceeded our expectations. Customer service was excellent - right from the start, through to the very friendly removal men on the day. We moved from a 5 bedroom house in St Albans, so it was never going to be an easy job. We opted for the packing service as well as removal. They arrived the day before our completion day to pack up our whole house for us (down to the last knife and fork!). They were very quick and efficient - they completed the packing of the entire house in about 6 hours, then they managed to move everything out of the house by 12.30pm the following day! They were then even quicker and just as efficient at moving everything back into the new house, including the speedy reassembling of beds, wardrobes etc. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free move!!

Last week, I had to relocate due to some changes in my family life. Because it was the first time I was about to move, I had spent hours looking for the best, most suitable and reliable company to make sure my move would be smooth. I've made loads of phone calls, sent and received tens of emails. Finally, I decided to go for City Removals, a company based in East London. What made me choose them was a number of factors: I've had a lot of questions regarding all the aspects of the removal process, all of them have been answered and explained. They offered me a range of options as to pricing, timings, team sets etc., to choose from.
As mentioned above, I had never used any removal companies before, therefore their pieces of advice were priceless.
On the booked date, the move went as smooth as their website promised. The guys arrived much earlier before the set time, they brought in all the boxes, bubble wrap, tapes etc, made a plan of which rooms to start with, split in smaller teams to work in different areas of the house. Watching them I had the impression that they REALLY knew what they were doing. During packing and loading they hadn't made any longer breaks (they had their morning and afternoon coffee, of course).
When they arrived at the other end, they made sure all our belongings were put to the right rooms and places. They used specialised blankets and other protecting materials to keep our new house clean. The removal finished early evening ( though I thought it would take much longer). After the last piece of furniture had been brought in, I knew I had chosen the right company. Their professionalism at both customer services and the process of moving was of the highest level. If anyone needs an outstanding removal services, go for CITY REMOVALS!

I recently moved from Epsom to Hampshire. The 3 men team was extremely friendly and professional and went the extra mile to make sure our whole day was hassle free.The move was not the easiest but they kept a great spirit right until the end of a quite a long day.
They dealt with our fragile stuff very delicately and made sure everything arrived in one piece.The truck was unloaded into a garage as the new property was not ready yet.They stacked everything incredibly well and also used some of their blankets to protect the furniture. 10 out of 10.
Communication with the office was kept at all times which made us feel secure as well.
Good stuff.

Initially we were a little sceptical about all the good reviews we had seen for this company. However we needn't have been concerned. They moved us from Guildford to Norwich in one day. They turned up as planned and worked quickly, quietly and efficiently. All the fragile goods were packed by them and they moved a heavy upright piano without damaging it. The use of three smaller vans improved efficiency and flexibility.
Apart from not being able to get an old wardrobe up narrow stairs everything was in place without a hitch.
Nicola's initial estimate was correct. Unfortunately the number of hanging boxes that came were fewer than planned.
Nick and his team were very good and we would definite use them again.

Aside from a slight confusion about the amount of stuff that we had to move (which meant they had to make 2 trips and they did, with no extra charge after a couple of conversations with the head office), this service was exactly what I had hoped for. They packed everything very well and moved it all into the van, so it was very secure and safe. Then drove very carefully to the new house and bought it all in. Then back again to finish up. They worked extremely hard for the whole of a really long day and for a great price. I will definitely be using them again!
