Ois Removals Ltd

Last week I moved home within London. I’d asked some friends who had also recently moved and Ois Removals was recommended by them. They were extremely easy to deal with before the move and answered all my questions effectively and provided a full detailed breakdown of the costs and what was included in the service. I included backing and removals. The team arrived the day before the move to pack up my old property. The team was extremely friendly, polite and well organised. We just left them to it. The again on the moving day the team and two vans arrived on time and began the process of moving everything out. Again they were really helpful and made a stressful event go very smoothly. They didn’t stop working. As soon as we arrived at the new property they were up and unpacking the boxes and even made up the beds and some of the furniture which we had taken down at the previous property. Helping with the washing machine connection was also not a problem. I would highly recommend the company and will use again in years to come.

This review comes 1.5 years after I had the last unfortunate experience with this company. Firstly I will start by saing that I used this company 3-4 times and the first three times there were no issues apart from the usual muddle with Oisin (the owner) and miscommunication; late or no responses to emails and wrong number of boxes delivered, items not wrapped as I ask because he forgot to request it. I came back so many times because the removal team he uses were superb (especially the Portuguese guys). The third time I moved I gave this company a bunch of stuff to store for me and then when they redelivered it all during my 4th move I then found out that several boxes went missing. I found out later that about 2 boxes went missing from storage and 2 boxes went missing from point A to B in the final move. Thankfully none of this stuff was worth much however Oisin the owner of the company basically accused me of lying and abused me over the phone and never once apologised. He was well aware that I was having to move because of extremely ill health and had to sell my place and he could have handled it better. He even had the nerve to then accuse me of paying £20 less what I should have for the final move (which I had paid) even after I'd spent £5000 with this company over the last few years and he lost some of my stuff! The guys he hires are great but I would NEVER deal with or recommend this company to anyone because Oisin is an absolutely horrible person who is unprofessional, can't communicate well, is rude and can't even follow simple instructions like what packaging materials to brng along. Avoid at all costs.

My daughter has used OIS Removals several times for both removals and storage and has been very happy with their service. She recommended them to me. When booking removal from London to Eastbourne, costs and processes were explained then followed by email. I needed to change the date several times and this was no bother. After the booking I requested additional pick-ups and drop-offs and these were agreed to with friendliness and costs explained - and that there may not necessarily be additional costs. The removal team were a polite, friendly and happy group who got on the with the job quickly and the house was cleared much more quickly than I had anticipated. Even with additional addresses to go to the removal was completed ahead of time.

Good service- hard working and approachable. All packaging was done the day before the move, and the move on the day was fine. Team were friendly and the quality of the packaging was good. One item was damaged slightly during the move (a set of cinema chairs) and the removal company paid for the repair without any problems. The cost was slightly over that quoted, as the total time it took for removal was a couple of hours longer than expected, but that was not because of a lack of hard work, just a lot of things to move from a small two bedroom flat. Overall good service and would recommend to others.

I was reccommended Oisin Removals by a friend about 5 years ago when I had to leave England. In that five years I have accessed my belongings three times and they have been stored in good condition. It's not somewhere where you can access every week, as in self storage, but for anyone looking to store for longer periods with limited access, then I would highly recommend them because of their very competitive pricing.I've just ended my storage contract and had the things picked up and they gave me a great deal for a couple of guys in a van to deliver to an address of my choice in London. Considering I had a lot of hassle initially try to get a company to pick it up and store them for a reasonable price, overall I'm very happy with the service I received from Oisin and his people.

OIS stored my belongings safely for 7 months. They were completely unfazed by the fact that I did not really know if I had a place to go to till moving day when I told them I needed storage. The guys were helpful and extremely respectful when the purchasers turned up wanting to do a blessing on the house. Better than me who was at my wits end. 7 months later I got in touch to say I now had a place and OIS agreed to bring everything back on the date requested. They were a bit late but traffic was bad. Again the men were very good lifting my large number of boxes and trays of books without complaint. Maybe they just stacked therm a little high for me but I managed. The best thing of all, in dealing with this company,was the extreme patience and genuine pleasantness shown by Oisin Hoare over the protracted discussion about how many weeks I had overpaid. When it turned out that it was two weeks, as he had said, and not three as I had thought, Oisin showed himself as a truly nice guy while I had to apologize of course!

The team from OIS provided an excellent packing and removal service. They made our family move a stress-free experience. The removal team were polite, helpful and experienced. The price was fair and competitive. I would recommend them. In particular, all packing materials were included. Furniture was thoughtfully and sensitively dismanteld and remanteld where required. The team were adapatable in terms of start and end time given that I was in a long chain. Advice was given throughout the process, for example on order of packing, things to keep aside, size of load.

I have used Ois Removals on 2 occassions - the first time when they came and packed up my entire flat and took all my furnaiture into storage which, to date, continues to be with them nearly 3 years on.  Because my experience with them was so positive we used them again when we moved abroad and my Girlfriend and our 6 week old baby had to clear her flat prior to renting it out. As before we put the content of the flat into storage with them and they continue to be flexible, available and always willing to help. I couldn't recommend them highly enough - they have been excellent everytime we deal with them.

I've been asked to review this company honestly as I have used them recently. I can't fault any part of the packing and removal process. I called them and explained what I had. They gave me a price and although it wasn't the cheapest, I was more concerned with service. I had to change dates at last minute and this didn't incur a charge which surprised me. All was good. The employees were very pleasant and all my stuff arrived in the same condition it left. The only reason I haven't given 5 Stars was because they charged me for a parking ticket which I thought should have been the company's responsibility but apart from that I would highly recommend.

OIS picked up our furniture from our flat and stored it for a few weeks before we could move to our new property. Their team was very efficient and friendly. They took great care of everything.Last week we finally moved into our house. The OIS team was again very friendly and efficient. We live in a grade II listed house with narrow staircases.. they were very careful and finished unloading in no time. Thanks very much for the great service.
Their service is resonably priced and storage costs too.

The team was fantiastic!  Picking a removal company was hard - there are so many bad reviews out there - and we'd had a bad time with our solicitor, who had excellent online reviews.  However, OIS were faultless - the only people involved in our house move who we would recommend to others! The guys were exceptionally hard working, very friendly, and careful with our things.  They even sourced another van and more people, at no charge, when it turned out that they couldn't quite squeeze everything into one.  We had some tricky items - including a heavy treadmill - that they managed to move without any complaints. We can wholeheartedly recommend OIS.    .

Ois Removals were absolutely brilliant. I was 37 weeks pregnant at move time and the whole experience from contacting them through to the packing and the move itself was an easy experience. In the quoting process they gave me a price over the phone from their experience and stuck to it - they weren't trying to do a big sales push - whereas competitors arranged appointments to quote and then cancelled at the last minute or expected me to wait about until they turned up a few hours later laden down with brochures - all very difficult when you need to go to work. They told me that the packers would come at a certain time and that's exactly when they came. Their attitude on the day was really professional and really helpful which is great when you have people coming into your home that you don't know. On move day itself the team again arrived on time and were really professional and helpful and got on with the job. We didn't need to ask them to do anything as they just got on with it and then on the other side they put everything in where we wanted it, complimented our new home which was nice and put everything back together before leaving. It seemed like there was nothing they wouldn't do for you. Obviously any move has its stresses attached but I would honestly recommend this company to anyone as they definitely weren't one of them and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. I certainly was not expecting the packing and unpacking to be so stress free but the team were absolutely brilliant.

I booked Ois removals in April to move a large number of items which included antique furniture and boxed glass and china to be delivered to storage. They arrived on time and were helpful and efficient both in packing up and in repacking carefully in to a storage space. I therefore contacted them again in May to take a smaller number of items including heavy garden furniture across London to a family member who was waiting for them. They were again friendly and efficient, their quote was very reasonable and included insurance (which they verified).  .

Oisin replied to my quote request promptly and clearly, and from then on I found everyone associated with the company to be very professional - the company was pleasure to do business with. Our move involved transporting a LOT of stuff, including many outdoor plant pots, from London to Bristol. I was expecting a few breakages, as seems to be the case when moving, but was pleasantly surprised when all of our stuff arrived in the condition it left in! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ois Removals to anyone who wants a stress-free moving experience.

We were moving from Islington to Hertfordshire (Luton is the closest place on their list above - I know it's in Beds). I initially went on a website to try and choose a company, but got a lot of calls and some of them felt dodgy. I then asked my friends for advice and one of them spoke very highly about OIS. We went with them. OIS responded quickly by email and phone when I had to change our dates. Nothing was a bother. When I worried that we might need a bigger van, they actually sent 2 and 2 extra guys just in case. They also delivered extra packing materials when I rang up in a panic. Great service. On the day the guys were fantastic. They introduced themselves and got down to it. They worked incredibly hard. They also packed up several loose items, paintings and tvs. No bother. They unloaded into rooms across the new house - and were diligent in making sure the boxes went in the correct place. Always polite, always quick and responsive. I really couldn't believe how good and professional they were. 10/10.

We used Ois in November and found them to be really good value and professional.  Super nice and friendly too.  Communication was good and there were no dramas. Price was very reasonable after ringing around for a few quotes. Found them on this website so it appears you can trust the reviews here. There was the option for boxes to be provided but we didn't use it - we got ours off ebay but it actually proved to be more expensive.  Next time I will get them included. Will definitely use them again.

I have used Ois Removals twice and I have been very happy about the service and will use them again in the future. The team was very friendly, very polite, clean and efficient.  I have asked them to pack kitchen stuff and it was all very well packed. There was no lost or damaged item, everything arrived in order. It was a 2 bed flat but with a lot of things and a lot of furnitures (so contents was probably more like a 3 bed house), they took around 8 hours to do all the move including the kitchen packing and it cost GBP 815 including packing materials and VAT.  So I highly recommend them! Again, the team we had was really great !
