City-Removals and Storage

I booked the packing service (£200 extra) as well as the removal. Six guys arrived at my three-bedroomed London flat at 5.45am and went through the place like a dose of salts. I made them all a cup of tea on arrival, they said that was all they would be needing, washed the cups and packed them when they'd finished. They were fast, polite and good-humoured and marked up all the boxes perfectly.
The oil paintings were wrapped in tissue paper before being bubble-wrapped to avoid imprinting, which I was impressed by - the other two companies who quoted for the job did not suggest this. They were also a lot more expensive.
The guys had packed the entire place by 10am, more than an hour earlier than I'd expected. That included dismantling shelving, removing wall-hung cabinets, unplumbing the washing machine. That meant I could get the train to my new home in Devon two hours early. I met them in Totnes at 2.30pm where they performed the same magically quick procedure in reverse. Then they jumped cheerily in the truck and drove back to London. 
The person who quoted for the job, Nicola, was also very efficient, friendly and reassuring, just what you need when you're moving home. She also arranged parking at both locations. I didn't have to do anything. Perfect!

I could not be more imptessed with the service delivered by City Removals. They arrived on time, despite difficult parking and loaded the lorry in record time. All items were very carefully handled, shelving taken apart in minutes etc. The delivery was tough as the parking was extremely difficult and the only available place was a good 50 feet down the street. But this didn't phase the 2 guys who ploughed on and got 40 boxes as well as a large amount of furniture up 3 flight of stairs in a lot less time than expected. On top of this, they brought a tescos delivery up when it was delivered during the day (to save the tescos man the bother!) and even offered to put together a bed that had been delivered the day before.Which again was done in a very short amount of time. This was all done for no extra cost. At all times they were professional, polite and completely on top of the whole situation. Best money I have ever spent!

I found this company on this website.Having heard so manny bad things about removals company a made sure I did my research.Being impressed by their reviews I called up.When I told them I had a 3 bed house they instantly sugested a home survey as they could not quote over the phone.This was the first good sign as the other companies I called were happy to give me a price over the phone.
On the day of the visit I was pleasantly surprized to see a preagnant lady. By the name of Nicola.I thought this was a world of men.Nonetheless she was polite and she knew what she was talking.From her words she has been doing this for manny years.
I got my quote on the same day and imedeatrky called to book as I was happy with the price and I felt they can be trusted.
On the move day the removal men were nice smartly dressed,clean and spoke english.They were very organized and only needed minimum directions at the begining.All the wanted was a cup of tea every now and than.
Once evrything was loaded they drove to our new address.Unfortunateky we got the keyes close to 5 pm,so they had to wayt quite a lot.They had no problems whatsoever.Their attitude for the whole day was proffessional and cheerfull.
They unloaded evrything.All the time they were asking me where I want things .One of the chaps was also incredibly talented at dismantelling furniture and reassembeling.Good stuff 
Nothing was scratched,damaged or missing.
Our move day went by almost like nothing happened.I am more than happy and quite impressed.
Top class and top guys.

I am thoroughly impressed with all the dealings I had with this company.From the first contact they have been incredibly nice and helpful, from parking to storage and advice.
I will update this review once we will get our things back from storage but so far so good.We have done our own packing as I had the necessary time.
Also all our furniture was wrapped while in storage.They had blankets ,buble wrapp covers etc.
All of the men came smartly dressed and were very very organized.
Comunication with the office was always prompt.They even sent  their insurance copy by e mail when asked.
I have moved 2 times before but this was really special.I am not sure how big or small this company is and I do not care.I chose them based on their reviews and even though I was scheptical as to manny of them are nice ,i have to agree with all of them in the end.

Our removal experience involved packing up our town house in London and moving it all into storage until we are ready to move into another property.  This review is based on the move from our house into storage as we have not yet moved our belongings into a new property.   Very competitive quote. Staff were clean, professional, polite, on time and very proactive.  Great care and attention was taken over packing our belongings and moving them into storage.  All removal staff were very hard working and efficient.  The office staff at City-Removals has also been excellent at responding to queries, trying to find competitive prices and coming up with solutions to some of the insurance questions we had regarding storage.  We have been extremely impressed so far with the service received.  .

We had our move done over 2 days.On the first day we had them pack all our house and the next day the move.
We had no problems at all in any of the days.The men were proffessional and did their job.Everything was as discussed over the phone, with the men wrapping everything and packing very safely.
Nicola dezerves a lot of credit for this.She and the reviews on this website were the main selling points for this company.After completing the move we can only agree with the vast majority of people here.We have received a proffessional service as advertised.No hidden costs either.
We really felt well looked after and would certainly used them again.

We have moved around 2 weeks ago 5 minutes away from our old place.Even though the distance was short we had to vacate the property by 12:00.This added quite a lot of stress to what is already ..let s say not the perfect day.
We have done our research thoroughly before commiting to a company.We found city removals were the most proactive towards our needs and willing to plan and explain everything to us.
We planned a 5 AM start time for our move and the 6 men we had were bang on time.While our 2 small kids slept upstairs they cleared the ground floor the garden and the garage.THE SPEED at which they worked and they still managed to be proffessional was amazing.Around 8 they started to dismantle and to clear everything from the bedrooms.11:30 sharp our house was empty.I was doubting this would be possible but they explained that with the right attitude and the right resources anything is possible..and they were right.
A special thanks goes to Nicola who was on top of everything from the begining.She explained the whole process when she did the visit.She was nice and naturaland at no point we felt she wanted to sell us something.Also all that she said ..happened.
The 6 men also deserve a lot of credit as at the end of the day a company is only as good as it s front line workers.

We recently moved from our 1 bed flat in Hammersmith to Birmingham.This company came highly recommended by a work coleague So choosing them was fairly easy.
I told them what I have over the phone and I received their price offer by email.
On the day the guys came on time.I was most impressed with their appearance and with the fact they were very well equipped.
Also they handled all our stuff with care and attention.
Also they came with a brand new vehicle..they said that it was being used for the first time..lucky me I guess.
Nothing missing nothing damaged.Very happy with the service.

We relocated from our 2 bed flat to a house in Kingston.We have done all the packing so we only wanted to find a company who could only do the move for us.
We found City on this website.Their price was competitive so we decided to give them a try.
Everyone we dealt with was polite and proffesional.Phone calls and e mails were always answerred quickly.They also did the parking for us with the local council which was helpfull as because I do not drive I do not have a clue about parking.
The 2 men we had on the day were very good.They did it all without any fuss and with no damages.Also very polite hard working and helpfull.
To cut a story short we have no problems in recommending this company as they provided us with an excellent service.Always do your research before choosing.

City Removals moved us to Epping around 2 weeks ago.We had 2 brilliant removal men.They were polite,hard working and experienced.We also had a piano to move but they made a piece of cake out of it. In the office Alex was always helpfull and prompt in answering emails. The price they quoted did not change and we had no other charges on the day. We chose this company I guess like many others after finding them on this website. Our Ikea wardrobe was also taken apart and put back together without any fuss. Excellent.
