Cavendish & Country Removals and Storage

I moved from South West London to South Somerset in November last year. I got several quotes but just didn't feel confident until I met with C&C. They weren't the cheapest but the costs were reasonable (pack & move), the service was excellent and the process was easy from start to finish. From the moment I arranged the appointment for a quote, I felt confident that I had made the right choice. The guys who packed and physically carried out the move were great - very professional and conscientious. I would definitely use them again and am very happy to recommend!

I cannot praise this company highly enough. It has managed to organise packing and removal of our five bedroom house from south London to Dorset within less than a week of asking for a quote. Furthermore, it worked to organise it over a bank holiday weekend. All members of staff are competent, polite and attentive. They arrived punctually, worked efficiently over three days (packing, loading and delivery) and made sure that everything was packed properly. Nothing got broken or damaged. I would definitely use Cavendish and Country again and am more than happy to recommend it. Brilliant service.

What a revelation. Having used other removal firms before and fallen victim to damaged items and extra charges, finally a removal company that is transparent with their costs and careful with my stuff. Nick leads a great team of guys that arrived on time, packed quickly and carefully and did it all with a smile. I am moving out of London again next year and will definitely use them again. Don't waste your time using anyone else, Cavendish and Country are awesome!

Nick and his team were brilliant with our move to Yorkshire. A friend recommended Cavendish and thank goodness they did! We could not have asked for a smoother move. We can not recommend Nick, Clare and all the Cavendish and Country team more. The guys we had for our move last week were AMAZING - particularly Andy who went above and beyond for us and worked non-stop. They were all so polite, thoughtful, accommodating and patient. We couldn’t have asked for more. They were extremely careful with our furniture and possessions and took great care not to damage or mark walls and carpets. Any furniture that needed dismantling was swiftly put back together at the new house. My indecisiveness about which room to put furniture in was no problem for them and they happily moved things round without a single grumble or complaint.
When obtaining our initial quote, Nick came to our home and walked through each room making a note of how much furniture we had and how many boxes we were likely to need. So thorough in comparison to other companies we approached for a quote.
We would like to pass on our gratitude and praise to the C&C team - especially Andy who was an absolute hero.

Cavendish and Country were recommended to me by a friend and I could not rate them more highly. We moved with a brand new baby and they turned what I was dreading to be a complete nightmare scenario into a seemless and stress free move. We had them pack up the house as it was too much for me with a baby and the guys were super quick and very careful with everything. They were professional and polite at all times and extremely hard working. They moved us the next day and nothing was missing and nothing was broken. If only I could have kept them to unpack everything!

A transparent quote upfront. I had a couple of questions on insurance, Nick came back to me promptly and with clear answers. The service has been excellent all the way through, from delivery of packaging materials to re-assembly of the furniture after the move. Efficient and friendly, they took care of the boxed items and furniture as if were their own, handled with care, re-assembled furniture at the new home, tidied up packaging materials before they left. I was recommended Cavendish & Country by my aunt who used them for her house move in Fulham. Nick and Clare were very friendly and responsive to all my queries over the phone and email. We have now used this company twice. We recently refurbished our house and moved out for the refurbishment. We had a horrible experience with a company moving us out. When moving back in a friend recommended C&C. What a difference. Their men were empathetic, considerate, hard working and charming. We did not hesitate to use them again to remove some valuable antiques from my late mother-in-law’s house to the auction house. Again we received immaculate service from the men and the management. Could not not recommend more!

We were extremely happy with the service provided by Cavendish & Country Removals from quoting stage to collection of the boxes a week later. Nick was professional in his approach and very helpful when answering all of our queries. The quote from Cavendish & Country was very detailed with no hidden extras. On removal day there were 6 removal guys who arrived on time and were friendly, very professional and helpful throughout the day. Unpacking at the new house went very smoothly and the guys worked extremely hard on both days, including unpacking in snowy conditions. They also made every effort to protect the new carpets and other surfaces in our home. We experienced no damage to any of our belongings and would definitely use Cavendish & Country again. Could not recommend them highly enough. Use them!

The staff at Cavendish and Country were extremely friendly and easy to communicate with. They took great care with the packing and transportation of my house contents and were courteous and made sure that floor surfaces and carpets were not marked by laying protective coverings. My completion of contract was delayed by several hours which resulted in the Cavendish staff having to wait to unload the van for 5 hours, but they were very understanding and stayed until 19.30 to finish the job.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Nick was very honest and professional in his approach talking through how he would handle all aspects of the move including handling fine china, glass and delicate antique furniture pieces. The team were very hard working and got the job done in the time they said they would. They were asking for guidance on where to put items as necessary and taking extra items back into storage for us. Nick and his team are reliable and trustworthy with an excellent all round approach.

I cannot recommend Nick and his team more highly. During what was a very stressful move, Nick was a source of reassurance and calm, ever patient, clear and professional. As for the move itself, that went like clockwork thanks to Jo, Andy, Richard, Cristian and Norbert. Their attention to detail, particularly in terms of individually wrapping each and every breakable item – even the most tiny – was astonishing. It was easy for us to unpack because they put every box in the correct room. They are such good guys and nothing was too much trouble for them.

I have used Nick and his team to move twice in the last year and both times the service was excellent. Prompt and very friendly team and exceptionally hard working. The packing service was really quick and efficient too with everything carefully wrapped - definitely worth asking for the packing option as it removed all the stress of moving and Nick supplied all packing materials. Furniture was dismantled and reassembled carefully and quickly. I would happily use them for my next move and have no hesitation in highly recommending Cavendish removals.

The team were excellent - swift & hard working but super careful - took incredible care of fragile antique furniture. In our case they were moving it to temporary storage & they could not have been more considerate or logical in how they placed it (easy to access too). Nick is Mr. efficiency & his estimate of the total cost came in extremely accurately, despite being done during Covid challenges. Given how professional they were, I think they were great value for money. Truly first class & couldn't recommend more highly.
