Cavendish & Country Removals and Storage

I used Cavendish and Country to get a better deal on my storage costs. I managed to save 50% on what I was paying monthly, they went to the old storage unit and picked it up and moved into the new unit without me needing to go there. A big time and hassle saver.

I knew I was paying too much for storage but didn't know how to get the costs down and they made it super easy to move it.

Nick is great to deal with and makes everything easy to do. Can't recommend them enough!!

The Cavendish & County Team helped to move us from the UK to South Africa. Nick was efficient, reliable and spot on with his estimates for container size. He ably guided us through the process of shipping abroad. The guys who came to pack us up were incredibly hard working, professional and efficient and went beyond the call of duty helping out with lifting and shifting. We have recently taken our stuff out of storage in South Africa and moved it into our house. Not one single breakage - packaging was excellent and everything so carefully boxed. I would highly recommend Cavendish & County for any sized job.

From the outset I was reassured all would go well. Nick came to do a survey and was professional but very friendly, reassuring and anticipated my questions.

Two guys Zsolt and Sandor came to pack & move most of the furniture the day before the move and were professional, friendly, respectful and quiet in the house. On move day they were joined by a third, Norbert who was equally great.

These three guys were so nice (as is Nick) and fantastic on move day, placing everything exactly as I wanted it and managing to do most of the unpacking by 4.30pm. They even managed to put my antique bed together so that it no longer wobbles (for the first time since I bought it 8 years and three moves later)!

They were quiet and patient when I needed them to wait as I moved my pusscat as they packed/ moved stuff etc and then when I settled him at the new house.

I've moved a lot and I hate it, but I can honestly say that Cavendish & Country did the best job and made it so much easier; thank you so much.

Nick and team were the only removal company to offer a plan - all the competitors asked me how many hours and how many boxes I would need.  I had no idea so it was a relief when Nick came round, did a thorough inspection, and based on that told me what time he would need to come, with how many guys, and with how many boxes. The move itself went perfectly.  The removers were on time, worked very hard and nothing was too much trouble.  And they were really nice guys. I would thoroughly recommend this company - Nick and team completely remove the stress of moving!    .

I was happy with the service that Cavendish provided. They were very nice, they listened to our requests, they labelled everything well and they did a great job. I will definitely be recommending them to friends. They were very diligent and went over and above to help. For example they were very tidy and took a box of scrap paper away with them which I know some movers would not bother to do. Little things like this make a difference! We annoyingly had to wait a few hours to access the house as our vendor was running late and they took it in their stride and stayed late to finish the job without complaining. Thank you!

We have used Cavendish & Country twice in the past 18 months. On the first occasion they packed up our flat for us and transported the contents from Central London to Surrey. On the second occasion C&C transported our belongings to our new house within Surrey. Both experiences were very positive. The packing service was first class; many of the boxes were in storage for 18 months and the contents were perfectly intact on opening. The transportation service was timely, courteous and professional. We required some assistance with disassembly and later reassembly, which C&C were only too happy to offer. We were also given very honest (and accurate) advice about whether to book on a per day or hourly basis.  All in all a consistently positive experience, and we have recommended C&C to friends on several occasions since. The fee information provided is the total for the two occasions on which we have used C&C. When soliciting quotes I found C&C to be competitive for a comparable level of service (ie packing and transporting).

Cavendish and Country were fantastic and can highly recommend. Although we had a slight issue with communication ( we were trying to plan the week before Christmas for a new year move), Nick made up for it in his professional and understanding approach to how we needed to do a split move and put some goods into storage, some into a flat and some staying. He catered for our requirements at a very competitive price. The boys were outstanding and could not have done anything more to make it easy and nothing was a problem.

We used Cavendish & Country Removals in September 2012 to move us from a 4 bedroom house (jammed full of toys) in SW11 to a new house in SW17. From the initial quotation, to yesterday when they came to take the final unpacked boxes away the service has been seamless.  The team who packed & unpacked our belongings over a two day period were fantastic and were polite, considerate and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the entire moving process calm and easy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nick & his team and have already passed on their details to a few friends.  .

This company gave a competitive quote from a total of four enquiries. They covered the details well - parking space outside the house had to be booked with the Council to comply with Resident Parking rules. Packing was done quickly and competently. It was completed ahead of schedule, allowing more time at the destination for unloading. All the boxes were unloaded quickly and everything was intact when they were unpacked. In summary, it was good value for money and caused no problems. A job well done.

I can thoroughly recommend Cavendish & Country.  They were the most reasonably priced of the 2 or 3 companies that I contacted, but provided a service that I cannot fault.  2 guys arrived the day before the move and packed everything away - individually wrapping items in bubble wrap and labelling which rooms the items should go to etc.  The day of the move, they were outside of our new house, ready to unload, as I was picking up the keys. They also went above and beyond what they had been contracted to do.  This included unloading furniture etc that had been brought from a separate location by my father-in-law. C&C offer a 'can do' personal service, both at a management and employee level.  The owner Nick, checked in on progress on both days of our move, whilst the 2 guys that undertook the move were incredibly efficient, but always polite.

We were very happy with the service provided by Cavendish & Country Removals from start to finish. We moved from a flat in Fulham to a house in Herne Hill. Nick came at a convenient time to view the flat and its contents and was professional in his approach and helpful when answering all of our questions. We were then provided with a clear and competitive quote with no hidden extras. On the day of the removal the two removal guys turned up on time and were very professional and courteous throughout the day. When there were last minute issues with our chain which meant a delay until 4.30pm until we recived the keys we very much appreciated the flexibility of the guys who waited patiently from about 1pm to unpack the van. When they did get to finally unpack, everything was done quickly and carefully with no damage to any of our property. I would definitley use Cavendish & Country again.

Not one to normally write reviews, but thought I should as was very satisfied with the service provided by Cavendish and Country Removals. The team turned up on time, went above and beyond on everything from packing to unpacking. They were friendly and trust worthy.  I know this sounds like what you would expect from any company, but trust me, this is the second time in a year we have moved and C&C Removals were the polar opposite of what the first team were like with a rival company! Big thank you to the boys and Nick who was incredibly helpful from start to finish.

We were moving house within Putney, and although the distance was small, the move felt quite daunting as my husband and I both work full time and had busy travelling schedules.  Nick came round at short notice and gave us a comprehensive and competitive quote.  We felt we were in safe hands immediately.  We opted for Nick and his team to do a full packing and removal service for us over 2 days.  One Day 1, Nick's team arrived on time and were very professional, friendly and trustworthy.  By the time I returned from work that day it was truly impressive to see how much they had packed up, and also the great care they had taken in packing all of our items so carefully and neatly.  On Day 2, Nick's team arrived on time to finish the final packing and loading of the van and then we were off to the new house.  Once there, it felt as though nothing was too much trouble for this team - they even helped my father unload a very full car of boxes he had brought separately from another property.  Nick's team operate efficiently as a team, are always curteous and were careful to ensure all furniture was placed where we requested.  They also have a great sense of humour which made the moving process stress free and a fun day for us. I would recommend this team without hesitation!

A hugely professional service from Cavendish and Country for our move from Weybridge to Walton. Cavendish were able to accommodate our uncertain move date even though we only had 10 days between exchange and completion.
They made the experience very painless, packing up all our belongings very well, nothing was damaged or lost. All we had to do was sit back and watch. They even coped admirably moving the contents of a garage that was 50% of the size of the house, and a large number of pot plants.
The after move service was equally as good as the move day itself. Cavendish called me up to agree a time to come and collect the boxes, they actually turned up at the agreed time, and then they called me up to get my bank details so they could pay me the 'box return' refund. It would have been very easy for them to let me arrange it all - but that is not the way Cavendish and Country work.

On moving day, the C&C team, who looked like World's Strongest Man contestants, turned up, bang on time. To a man, they were friendly, polite and extremely professional. They packed the house with Germanic efficiency, taking great care to wrap & pack each item, as if it was their own. On arrival at the new house, everything was put in the right rooms, the bulky furniture was reassembled and they went to great lengths to ensure we were entirely happy. Throughout the move, there were no problems, only solutions, and they left still smiling, as they had been when they arrived.
What more could you want ?! .

We had our removal done by Cavendish and Country, based on reviews found on the internet and our meeting with Nick Whittington for the quote. We had a great experience and we would definitely recommend them.

Nick Whittington has a great entrepreneurial spirit and has managed to built a strong team of movers. All the people who did our move knew each other and work perfectly together in a great team spirit. They were not people hired for the day but employees of Cavendish and Country, which is not always the case for other removal firms. The entire team was very friendly, well mannered/educated and very careful.

The removal was done over two days: a team of two on a Sunday for the packing of Fragile items and furniture (we packed our clothes, books, etc..) and a first truck was loaded. A team of four on the Monday to finish packing and moving furniture in another truck. Both trucks delivered our content the same day.

We have done 12 moves in 17 years and have used many removal companies. Cavendish and Country was clearly the best.
