Aussie Man and Van

Aussie provided an excellent service-but on the other hand so they should.They are exceedingly expensive and their efficient billing system makes sure you bear all the charges.Do read the small print-they do follow the terms to the letter.The personnel were friendly and creative and kept us advised of arrival times etc.
For us the real cost was storage-and the charges for withdrawal.Do not use the insurance option -your household policy should cover the cost(or can be amended).

I have used Aussie Man and Van again on several occasions now for moving belongings around London for the various times I have moved address . I have always had a good experience. Used again recently to move some items from my storage unit to my new place of residence in Islington, London. As always, an efficient and friendly /helpful service and my belongings were looked after and treated well that came out of storage. Thank you once again for your assistance, great job. Sharon Box.

After years of using Clockwork removals, I opted for Aussie Man as Clockwork were busy and I have urgency to move.

The quote process was rudimentary and when the quote came in it seemed expensive. I was reassured that the materials used for packing and the care of the workforce justified this. in any case, I had to move for a month and had no choice.

On the day of arrival, they were an hour late. As a result the lift they had ordered had to be used in a hurry and they opted not to wrap up a £7000 table. Needless to say this was damaged in transit. I am still waiting for a satisfactory resolution.

on opening other boxes I found more stuff damaged - paintings and a bed - but as I did so after my second move on opening this stuff they wiped their hands of it saying I should have reported it after 7 days, although they took it straight to storage.

do not use these people if you have stuff you care about.

As always called Aussie man and van for one of our domestic moves. Terance Puna is a joy to work with and easily reachable. Team on the day was led by Imre and were positive, hardworking and professional as always. Needed extra van load to be stored unexpectedly and this was arranged without too much hassle on a saturday.
Nothing was damaged or broken when we started unpacking and guys were helping to put beds together etc.
Will definitely work with them again!

Aussie Man and Van provided an excellent service! We have had other movers in the past at a similar cost and they were not nearly as good as Aussie Man.

Our Aussie Man movers packed all of our items with care and delivered them to our new home without fuss. The 3 movers were friendly, professional and worked nonstop to get everything packed and moved in within our allotted time. I will use them again and again!!

I was moving house on my own, so booked Aussie for a full packing and removal service to include an electrician, organising parking suspension etc, and am so glad I did. Every dealing I had with the company - from first quotation onwards - made my life easier. The team packed up my flat expertly, quickly and safely and got me to my new home without a single breakage (there was just the one sad egg cup that I broke myself when unpacking!). Aussie made what could have been a very stressful and exhausting process into a much easier time for me, and I was able to save all my energies for the unpacking and champagne drinking at the end. Thank you!!

We were charged £470 for 4 hours of work performed by a 2 men team.

The first part of the move (loading the items into the van) went smoothly.

However, the second part of the move (carrying the items into the property) proceeded really slowly. 1 of the 2 men helped with 3/4 pieces of furniture, and we didn’t see him entering the flat at any other point in time, effectively leaving the other member of the team on his own.

In fact, I saw the guy sitting in the driver’s seat of the van.

Furthermore, we noticed that the remaining team member took longer and longer to transport the items to the flat.

The van was parked close to the flat, and the flat is on the 1st floor.

Please note that there weren't too many items to move.

I’ve been charged for a 2 men job, but only 1 man worked in the second part of the move.

After a 9 days long email exchange, I was refused a partial refund.

Avoid at all costs, especially as I discovered that AnyVan provides the same service for 1/3 of the price.

If I could give this so-called company zero stars I would. I am asolutely disgusted with their extremely rude, totally and completely unhelpful and belligerent attitude. In a nutshell, they moved only half to three-quarters of my house, refused to take responsibility for their two movers, who were an hour and a half late to start with, who left an entire room full of things (chairs, tables, half a bed, large boxes) after I asked for the HOUSE to be moved, didn't tell me that this was left behind and / or call another van when they saw all would not fit (me thinking the whole house had been moved which I asked for a which they said on arrival was possible with the van they had), blamed me for not giving them an accurate enough quote (BEWARE - they do NOT ask for an exact inventory and will give you a very deceiving low quote based on this), refused to offer any help to rectify the situation other than arguing with me and telling me that I needed to pay them again just to finish the job. The two extremely rude women (Billie-Jane and Natalie) continually cut me off when I was trying to explain the situation, talked over me constantly, told me point blank it was not their fault and threatened me to not leave this truthful review, to warn others of this scam. Of course they will deny all of this and say again that this is my fault but do not believe their spin. Each person we dealt with sounded in their mid-20s tops (the movers certainly were) and there was ONE manager for the whole company!! This was Natalie, who was extremely unprofessional and didn't even know whether they had a complaint process! When I said that I would take them to the Trading Standards Association and leave them a bad review after receiving ZERO help and MASSIVE attitude, Natalie said 'Wonderful! Go for it!' The absolute arrogance of this group of hacks is astonishing. We will be taking them to court and my strong guess is this 'company' is a fraud - BEWARE and do not use them. They will take your money, charge you much more than they quote you, and not deliver the service they promise. Absolute worst excuse for a company I have dealt with in my 45 years on this planet. Trust me that I have moved multiple times, internationally as well, and this hack job is the worst, most unprofessional excuse for a business I have ever come across. I cannot believe that other people have rated them highly and am having them investigated for taking our money and not doing the job.

My 2 spare laptops didn't make it to my new flat. DVD player missing, half the kitchen stuff missing. Lots of books missing.
Obviously I had to sign on delivery , but I didn't know the things were missing until much later.

Nathalie said she would look into the matter. That was 3 weeks ago. Needless to say I have heard nothing.

I can't remember the cost!! And can't be bothered to look at my bank account. But it cost more as I have had to replace the missing items.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Excellent service. We are a small charity doing a move and were let down by another company very last minute. Aussie Man & Van came in the very next day to do a survey and all was booked and confirmed shortly after. The team that came out to do the actual move were very hardworking and polite and had cleared the office out and moved the contents over to our new office in no time. I woudl highly recommend Aussie Man And Van for any removals but especially office moves.

Used for house move within Central London based on recommendations. Received high initial quote which was reduced when we advised what another company had quoted. No inspection of possessions so ended up with lorry that was too big (and cost that was probably too high). Office team friendly. Removal guys very friendly and worked very hard. However, packing was poor - delicate items not treated carefully enough and clothes etc. dumped into boxes. Overall satisfactory but could be better.

For something so stressful I found the whole experience very good. The removals team were very nice and excellent at their job because they were very quick and efficient and listened to my concerns about stacking boxes on top of my antique furniture. I received reassuring phone calls from management about this. The driver Greg who packed the truck had extraordinary skills as everything was stacked neatly and carefully. The team worked very hard on a long hot day, remaining friendly and cheerful at the end despite having to drive back to London and I would recommend them to my friends and family any day.

Used in central London for a short distance move. They did complete the move, but pressure sales tactics were employed by the office halfway through - which ultimately doubled the cost of the move.

It was a long day, and the team were clearly tired but that doesn't explain why they spent a great deal of time on the phone to the 'office' or others. An unnecessary number of boxes were used - unpacking revealed some boxes were filled with a couple of pillows and half a vacuum cleaner.. essentially there were many boxes for the sake of boxes. Won't use again, and would never recommend.

I have nothing but praise for them. They were extremely punctual, friendly and had apparently boundless energy. There were two people who did the packing and then 4 people moved me the following day.
I had loads of things to move including a piano, kitchenware and a lot of heavy books and nothing was damaged in any way during the move.
I needed a lot of boxes put into the attic and despite this being quite a difficult task they did it with goodwill and humour!
I would certainly use Aussie removals again and would recommend them to anyone.

We have used Aussie man and Van previously as we were impressed with the efficiency and attitude of the team.
Also cost effective compared with some of the household larger firms who quoted me on the job and were discourteous and unhelpful.
this time they did not dissappoint ; Greg , Michael and Conoret were polite , efficient and helpful . We had to move from two different properties and they went beyond what was expected of them , took no break to speak of and generally worked their socks off.
I would highly recommend this firm.

The pre-sales team were decent and efficient. I had some queries and it took some time to get those answered. However, every question was answered and everything that was promised was done. The full packing service was excellent.

The onsite moving team were fantastic. They were calm, efficient and professional. If I had a chance to only request those four guys again, I would. They were first class.

I moved only 300 metres from my North London home. Aussie Man and Van made the whole experience far less painful than I expected and I would highly recommend them. They were pleasant, hard-working and super-efficient. (A particular mention here for Sabi - hope the spelling is correct - who came the day before the move to pack. He was excellent.) I also used their service for disposing of unwanted furniture, items which charity shops would not take, eg. an old piano, and I was very grateful to be able to do this.
They certainly earned their 5 stars!

I booked Aussie Man & Van for a house move. The sales term were okay, but the removers tried to drag out as long as possible to get you to pay extra hours. I have very little stuff - just three smallish furniture and about 20 boxes. Before the men arrived, I already moved more than 3 quarters of my boxes to the parking lot. I couldn't get on the same van with them, so I had to leave them alone to load the van while waiting for them at my new place, which is less than 2 miles away (or 10mins drive). I ended up waiting for them for almost 90 mins!! It couldn't have been because I had a lot of stuff because it only took them 15mins to unload and move everything into my new place when I could keep an eye on what they were doing. After the whole thing was over, Aussie sent an email asking for my experience and offered free Cornish ware if I'd write a review for them.. sorry your guys are too dishonest and freebies won't do it!

A very simple house move on the same street became extremely stressful after a run-in with this money-grabbing company. Two of the removal men were very friendly, hard-working and professional, but the driver was very clumsy and managed to smash a new wardrobe by dropping it 4 feet off a tail-lift; a sofa was also left needing £80 worth of professional cleaning and paintings had their frames badly chipped. We obviously expected some sort of compensation for the wardrobe, but as soon as we emailed our complaint, our account was debited for the full cost of the move and we were told that, despite having been smashed to pieces on the road, the wardrobe would be "repaired". The originally new, £300 wardrobe is now a mess of different bits of wood, wood-filler and different colour paintwork, with black finger prints all over it and a broken latch.
The company obviously banks on the fact that, for damage like this, the cost of taking them to a small claims court wouldn't be cost effective and also the fact that their office staff (we dealt with Lauren and Nathalie) are rude enough that most people can't be bothered with the aggravation of dealing with them again! I would sincerely recommend avoiding this company if you value your possessions.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS DISHONEST OUTFIT. THEY TOOK A TOTAL OF £3 SHORT OF A £1,000 !! OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AFTER I WENT OVERSEAS. THE BOOKER TOOK ALL THE INVENTORY DETAILS OVER THE PHONE IN A SLOPPY MANNER AND THEN SUGGESTED THE SMALLEST SIZE VAN.  I, A COMPLETELY INEXPERIENCED PERSON COULD TELL THAT THE SMALLEST VAN SHE SUGGESTED WAS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR THE GOODS TO BE MOVED AS SMALL AS THE MOVE WAS. iT WAS NEARLY ALL BOXES CRATES SUITCASE AND OTHER THINGS LIKE IT AND NO FURNITURE OTHER THAN 1 SEGMENT OF A MODULAR SOFA.
SHE KNEW OUR DATES OF DPARTURE AND UNIT SIZE OF 160 SQ FEET WITH SHURGARD AND FINALLY SETTLED ON THE SECOND SMALLEST VAN BASED ON HER ADVICE. SHE ALSO SAID 3 MEN WORLD BE MUCH QUICKER AND CHEAPER THAN 2 MEN SO WENT ALONG WITH THAT AND FELL INTO MY BUDGET OF £500.
INSTEAD WHEN THE MEN FILLED UP THE VAN THEY THEN SAID ITS TOO SMALL. THEY COULD HV SEEN THE CONTENTS AND SAID IT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOB NOT AFTER!! SO THE BOOKER NATHALIE THEN SAYS I NEED TO HAVE A FURTHER 2 MEN AND A FURTHER VAN!!  THATS 5 MEN!!
THE ORIGINAL 3 MEN TURNED UP LATE AND THEN ASKED ME WHEN THEY ARRIVED, DIDNT CALL TO SAY THEY WERE GOING TO BE LATE AND THEN ALSO FORGOT TO DEPOSIT THE GARAGE FOB IN THE LETTER BOX AS I ASKED THEM TO. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY ALL 3 MEN WERE SHOWN A BOOK OF 3 HOUR ISLINGTON COUNCIL PARKING VOUCHERS TO USE SO THEY DONT GET A TICKET. AND THEY THANKED ME. BUT TO MY DISGUST I WAS CHARGED FOR A PARKING TICKET WHEN THEY DIPPED INTO MY ACCOUNT.
I HAVE ASKED THEM REPEATEDLY FOR ANSWERS AND GOT NO REPLY UNTIL AFTER THE DEADLINE I GAVE THEM. MR MARK PROUT, THE MANAGING DIRECTOR REPLIES AFTER THE DEADLINE AND ASKED ME SEVERAL QUESTIONS AND I REPLIED TO THEM AND ASKED HIM TO LISTEN TO ALL THE TELEPHONE CALLS AND READ ALL THE EMAILS TO ESTABLISH THE FACTS AND THE TRUTH BEFORE HE REPLIED AGAIN AS HIS EMAIL WAS SLOPPY, UNINFORMED AND IGNORANT OF THE PROBLEMS I RAISED WITH NATHALIE HARRIS. HE HAS SINCE REFUSED TO REPLY.
WHAT BOTHERS ME MOST IS THAT THEY TOOK THE MONEY WITHOUT EVER ONCE DISCUSSING OR EMAILING ONCE WHY THEY HAD CHARGED ME AND WITHDRAWN THE MONEY WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR EXPLAINED HOW THEY CAME TO THE FIGURE OF £997 FOR THE MOVE!!
I HAVE DECIDED I HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO TAKE THEM TO COURT VIA FAST TRACK WHICH HAS IMPROVED GREATLY AND ONLINE. I WOULD HATE FOR ANYONE TO EXPERIENCE THE INDIFFERENT TREATMENT I HAVE RECEIVED AS HAVE MY 2 BOYSAND ESPECIALLY AS I DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE EXCESS AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY TOOK WHICH TOOK ME INTO AN OVERDRAFT.  .

I have moved many times and with mixed experiences. we had an excellent move from start to finish. Natalie helped me scope and price the move really accurately on the phone - even saving me money. The packer Jonas was careful, polite and quiet. The movers Jonas, Andrzej and Daniel were so cheerful, professional and efficient. They had a great can do attitude and only saw ways to help not problems. Pete who collected the boxes was also really great. Would use them again in a heart beat! .
