Do not use unless you want the worst service!

The worst company ever to use for moving. Agreed quote means nothing to them, they called me with a story that they need more money as it took longer than expected, reason was poor and there was no traffic becaue we followed them into a new property. They didnt even deliver the goods inside the property, just dumped it on the second floor when we agreed it must be the third floor! Absolute nightmare, i overpaid by £60 on top of the agreed quote and we had to lift furniture the extra floor. They should be ashamed!

Our experience was terrible from start to finish. They lied about the hourly charges, and once moving day arrived, they suddenly changed the pricing for extra hours despite the fact that I had called beforehand to confirm all details. Not once did they mention needing a parking permit, yet when their truck received a ticket, they made us pay for it.

On top of that, they broke our TV during the move. The so-called “insurance” they offer does not cover your belongings, which they conveniently disclosed only after the damage was done. Their team took no responsibility, showed no care, and provided no support.

If I can give you one piece of advice for your move: do NOT use this company. They lure you in with a cheap, clickbait price, then shift the costs once you are already locked in and unable to fight back. They mishandled our belongings, broke items, refused accountability, and blindsided us with charges that were never disclosed.

Save yourself the stress and choose literally any other moving service.

If I could give them 0 starts instead of 1, I would...

Amazing, top price!

I was absolutely amazed from the quick and efficient service provided by the Removals Zone team. The guys worked really hard and managed to complete the moving service under the originally estimated time. Damaged sofa and have not replaced.

We have used this company a few times and they always have filthy hands so cover your furniture. The last time we used them they completely destroyed my sofa from Laura Ashley. I have been chasing the company for the last 2 months to replace it or reupholster the sofa. I have given them quotes and they have completely ignored both me and my boyfriend.

They are cheap for a reason so don't trust them with any expensive furniture like we did.
I would not recommend them.

Appalling customer service - scam alert

I used Removals Zone for my move 2.5 weeks ago, and the two men who came were very polite and professional. However, 3 items - a monitor and some furniture - were broken/damaged during transport. I immediately provided Removals Zone with pictures and details of the items. Since then, I have emailed and called them numerous times, and each time I am told that the person responsible for claims is unavailable and will call me back. They claim to be fully insured, so I don’t understand why it is taking them so long to resolve this issue, and they seem to be simply ignoring me. I feel as though I have been scammed, but I won’t give up.

Cheap Quote, Expensive Reality

I would strongly caution anyone considering this company based on their low quote — in my case, £207.50 quickly turned into £433.50. What initially seemed like a competitive deal soon felt like a bait-and-switch.

The movers themselves were polite enough and did their job, but it was clear they were under constant micromanagement, with one of them glued to the phone with the office throughout the move. Before even receiving a quote, I provided full details of all items needing transport. Yet, on the day, I was told not everything would fit into the van. This seemed conveniently timed to justify a second trip (and added charges), though only a few items were “left over” — and there was clearly still space.

I was also charged £15 per floor, totalling £60, because one item supposedly didn’t fit in the lift, despite offering to carry it ourselves. The movers insisted they’d handle it — in hindsight, likely motivated by the added fees.

I was promised a refund of £83 on 19 June 2025, but it’s now been nearly two weeks, and I’m still waiting. Each day brings a different excuse — I’ve been told it’s with the accounts team, with management, etc. I’m now being strung along with empty promises, told it’ll be resolved soon over and over again.

In short, a frustrating experience that left a sour taste. The service was not entirely poor, but the hidden charges, overmanagement, and questionable billing practices make it difficult to recommend.

Items were missing

I have had a bad experience with Removals Zone. The money I paid increased in comparison to the initial quote, as included an extra hour, access to Blackhall tunnel, and a fine which they made me pay immediately, despite it was not my fault. There was a broken van blocking the narrow street. I was told that I would receive the money back after the solicitors appeal to it, but today, after trying to contact the company in three occasions, they have told me they cannot appeal.

I also was asked to leave a good review to Krasi just on the spot, in the middle of the move. I even gave them some tips :(

After the move I realised that two items were missing, again, in despite of them having an insurance, they don't want to take any responsibility about it, or not even trying to trust customers, or to question their staff's ethics.

I feel that someone has taken advantage of an stressful situation. My next step, to report it to the police.

Fab Company!

I’m very happy I chose to use Removals Zone - I highly recommend this removal company!
From start to finish it was an A+ service. Roberta in the office went the extra mile; she was friendly, knowledgeable, had great customer service and she made my booking hassle and stress free. The two removal guys were outstanding, they went above and beyond and are extremely amazing at their job! They were polite, very helpful, hardworking and alleviated all the stress of moving! They worked as fast as possible whilst also paying attention to detail - all boxes were marked correctly, in the correct rooms and all fragile items wrapped individually and packed securely..most important of all zero damage! My removals with RemovalsZone.

We had a complicated move - moving from a large 4 bedroom house, full of stuff. We also hadn't been very well organised before the move, so most of our house was as we usually live it, rather than well organised for the move. We wanted to move over a weekend.


The guys from Removals Zone http://www.removalszone.co.uk/ were superb - each day they arrived punctually, They were exceptionally well organised, but also very polite and friendly at all times, even when we made what might have seemed odd requests in terms of move order. They were also very respectful of both houses - removing shoes whenever possible before walking on carpets, even though they were carrying large items at some speed. They also worked very long to get the work done as requested and didn't complain at all when the amounts to be shifted were more than they expected. We had one exceptionally heavy item of furniture and a fish aquarium, which they managed very professionally.


Everything was well wrapped and labelled and we are now unwrapping and unboxing all of our belongings.

We chose Removals Zonecarefully from other companies. We got two tenders from reputable companies, which were almost exactly the same, and actually less than I had expected. They didn't quibble and honoured their original quote even though I suspect the volume of our stuff was more than they expected. I am therefore delighted to recommend them.

Do Not Book Removals Zone!

This moving company will make things more stressful for you so I'd recommend against booking them. They arrived two hours late, took 10 hours to do a job that was originally estimated to last 5. The team was unprofessional and unprepared (they showed up without packing material). After 10hours of dealing with them, they called me and quoted me nearly double the original estimate without sending me a detailed invoice and said that if I didn't pay there and then, they were going to call the police. They were rude, unprofessional and used threatening language towards me.

AVOID, double charged us, refused to cooperate despite evidence.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Forget issues with movers (unprofessional, poor packing, minimal equipment e.g. floor protectors), they will literally steal your money.

We were billed an initial £90 deposit, and quoted a total of £370 for the move. Upon completion of the move, the full amount - an additional £370 - not taking into account the deposit was debited from our account. We contacted them to rectify, but they refused to cooperate.

We contacted our bank for official copies including account details of payee and provided this to the removal company - they refused to cooperate.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are dishonest and deceptive. It really isn't worth your money at all to do service with them.

5 star service.

I used Removals Zone to pack and move all my belongings from a two bed flat in London to a three-bedroom house in Kent. The lads that were dispatched to help us with the move were amazing. They packed and carried everything very carefully. All arrived at the new address with no scratch and on the same day. Professional and quick service. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend them and use in the future if I need a removals company again.

Unprofessional removal company.

Do NOT use this company by all means. Unprofessional and deceptive.

A 7 hours estimation for a packing, moving, disassembling/reassembling service eventually took double the time.

We even made the decision to do the packing ourselves and help with the move because the team's complete lack of interest and apathy. Customer Service later told us that they never asked us to do the packing and help the team. Of course they didn't! Otherwise the service would have taken another 5 extra hours! What an unprofessional estimation we were given.

When we complained they told us that the team had to use a small lift and the van wasn't parked in front of the house. Well, the truth is that the team used a service lift with capacity for four persons and the van was parked exactly three cars distance apart from the house. We even sent them pictures of this. Without a doubt not a valid justification.

Eventually we were offered a discounted fixed price during the service but clearly doesn't compensate the stress and how unexpectedly hard we had to work on the day because we chose the wrong company.

AVOID worst service EVER.

Items were destroyed by their team during the service of removal.

I've been charged for the mileage of the Van indicating that they travelled 99 miles, as they had to make two trips. It was the fault of the company to choose the wrong size of the Van, although I sent a list of more significant items in advance. Even more, when the service was quoted by the postcodes given, the mileage was calculated in 23 miles!

I've been charged for the service of the two men packing, carrying and dismantling items, indicating that they worked 7 hours. They only worked for 3.5 hours!

The final bill is almost TWICE the initial quote. Now, they are even treating me with their legal team to take action. AVOID this company by all means.

Avoid this company - Stolen items!

The worst moving experience I've ever had and one I would urge everyone to avoid. Removals Zone offer competitive prices, something that attracts unassuming clients like myself, who are led to expect an adequate level of service. Not only is their service amateur and frustrating, their staff also seem to be in the habit of stealing.
I used their packing & removals service, to move from a 2-bed to a 1-bed flat within London. Although I had clearly requested 5 wardrobe-type boxes to pack my clothes, they arrived with none because "the office had made a mistake". They carried my clothes with their hands to my car, as there was no way to put them in their van without boxes (it was too dirty). On their way, they dropped a few sweaters in the wet and dirty parking floor and said "sorry". I eventually had to move the largest part of my wardrobe to the new address in my own car.
The bubble wrap they brought for dishware and glass was clearly insufficient, as some of my plates were packed on top of each other with no wrap between them, which resulted in 4 of them ending up broken.
The most frustrating part though was discovering two pairs of designer shoes (in their original boxes) missing after the removal. A (quite rare) bottle of malt whisky has also disappeared. It appears the 2 Removals Zone personnel decided I have too many belongings for their liking and took the initiative to relieve me from some.
Removals Zone have refused to refund me so far, saying "they are investigating what happened". I have called them several times, but they keep telling me to call them again in a few days, hoping I will get tired and stop calling.
Unfortunately, having to deal with merchants of this kind, the only option one has are Trading Standards agencies and consumer protection groups. Also, making others aware of what they should expect from such a rogue business.

Removal and cleaning services.

Booked Removals Zone for 2 end-of-tenancy cleans and 1 house move and could not be more disappointed with their services! Cleaners arrived 2,5 hours late, seemed to have an ongoing problem with their vacuum cleaner and did an overall bad job (left cupboards dirty, did not vacuum carpet properly etc.).
Removal guys came 1,5 hours late and were so exhausted from previous jobs that they were struggling to carry a simple chest of drawers! Overall, a job very bad done!

Unprofessional and extermely poor customer service.

Removals Zone is an unprofessional, unreliable cowboy
removal company. Total failure to deliver and to address poor customer service. Removal was arranged for 10 am yesterday with two men. At 9:58 am the office called to say the driver would be LATE about an hour. It turned up that only one man had been booked although booking said otherwise. Getting an extra man involved a two hour wait because he needed to be picked up (?). A new time of 1 pm was offered and agreed.
At 12:50 pm, the office called to say the van was delayed for an hour (reason unclear) when service would be too late. No further
communication from the company was received, other than when the van arrived at the starting point at 2:35 pm, too late to complete the removal yesterday. Despite numerous calls today, yet to hear from manager nearly a day and half after incident. A very stressful and wasted day and additonal costs incurred. Avoid them.

Move on 12/8/17.

Its a shame that this review is going to be poor. The person who I dealt with on the initial booking was polite, respectful, and courteous, couldn't do enough for me. Communication was good. She arranged that there would be a van to pick up my furniture on 12/8/17 at 8am. I think her name was Roberta.

When the van did not arrive by 8.18am and I had received no call, I tried to ring the office but there was no one there. Had I have not thought about looking at the pictures of the vans that had been sent to me in an e mail I have no idea what I could have done. However, I did and there was a mobile phone number on there which I rang.

The man I spoke to (and I am sure it was the Manager) was unsympathetic, told lies (as far as I was concerned - I will explain in more detail further down) and when I challenged him about not making contact with me just said "There was no one in the office until 8.10am". I then explained to him that it was now ten minutes later in that case but he had not called me to explain why my removal van did not turn up. He had nothing to say about this of course - how could he justify not calling the customer. I will tell you.

His explanation was that the van had broken down and they were trying to repair it. If that was really the case then they surely would have made contact with me BEFORE 8am which was their arrival time. SURELY they would have had my contact details? If not its very poor. This is the reason why in my assessment he lied to me about the breakdown. This man when I told him that the storage unit that they were taking my furniture to was only open until 12 noon and that if there were any extra costs involved for them to stay open later would have to be paid by themselves, told me that they could not do that. When I said "surely you have insurance for such events" , he told me that they did not and only had insurance for damage. BOOKERS BEWARE.

The most distressing thing for me was that I was a woman on my own and was very very concerned and distressed as you may imagine. Not only was he unsympathetic and did not apologise, he threatened to cancel their service altogether. NOT ON!!

I was promised eventually that a van would arrive at 9:45am. To be fair it did. However, the two 'boys' they sent could hardly speak a word of English and it was difficult for them to understand what I was saying half the time. The way that they stacked the furniture was incredibly bad and I will not be surprised if there is damage. It was horrendous. My movers (Pearsons a very helpful and reputable company) when they pick up my furniture to move it on to my final destination next year will be asked to inspect everything that was not wrapped (e.g. coffee table, tv unit hall table dining table etc) BEFORE they load it into their van. I have taken pictures of my furniture before it was loaded into Removal Zone's van fortunately.

The 'boys' from Removal Zone then asked me to fill in a feedback form once the van was loaded which I refused to do, they then wanted me to sign a BLANK time form for the time it was GOING to take to unload - I refused to do this also. They then wanted me to sign for the cost of the whole experience without details in the form - WHICH I REFUSED TO DO.

I would not use this firm EVER and I would never recommend anyone else to use them. The disrespect as a customer that was extended to me was disgraceful. Bookers BEWARE. You have been warned.
It is interesting that the tips for completing a review on this website state "avoid abusive language and exaggrations'. I think they mean exaggerations!! No exaggerations here folks - just the plain unadulterated truth about a firm that couldn't care less and has no respect for their customers. If someone from Removal Zones would like to contact me to discuss it would be appreciated. This contact should have been done in any event if they take their customer service seriously and want to grow and expand their business. Clearly they do not.

Distressful service.

Very distressful services, I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them:

1. They didn't send two professionals as agreed, one staff was lazy and slow, hasn't had much idea about moving, damaged my items and the property in the front garden, and THREW my property into the woodland next to the house, kicked my furniture, broke China ware and kicked broken pieces to the street. Bad behaviour.
2. They quoted for 3.5 hours but it actually took 7.5 hours. Although I called their office at the very beginning and told them the staff was slow and incompetent, they refused to correct the situation and allowed this slow bad situation to continue.
3. They admitted to compensate all damages but insisted to pay first, I disagreed with their excessive hours but they threatened for the legal actions.

Thrust me you would want this stress adding on your moving stress. After all, I don't trust this company. Don't trust their quote, the hours they give to you will be doubled at the end, don't trust they will send 'professionals', don't trust their cheap quote, it is just a bit.

Do not used - failed to show - didn't event apologize or give money ba.

Do not use this removal company. After agreeing on a removal date and paying a £90 deposit, the van failed to show up on the day. After ringing the company, the rep simply stated that the driver wasn't picking up his phone and there was nothing he could do about it. He suggested that all teams were fully booked and we find another company without ever apologising. After several arguments to get the deposit back - they have still not given a refund. Would strongly advise to save yourself the trouble and find another removal company.

Avoid at all costs.

Please do not make the mistake I did in trusting this company.
I booked them to move house, 2 men and a van. 3 men turned up, suggesting heavily that we needed to pay extra for the 3rd man, I called the company who said if there were 3 then I did not need to pay extra, we were however constantly reminded how helpful the 3rd was and how he could not afford his rent. It turned out that he was a mate who is working for tips, obviously not insured to work which is illegal.
When the van arrived it looked like a junk van once the back was opened, I was horrified, everything appeared thrown in without any care or organisation, nothing was protected.
Items marked fragile were being bought out and stacked upside down on an unprotected sack truck, thank God I had packed everything in a ton of bubble wrap.
End result:
mint condition vintage £800 coffee table dragged along and scraped right along the side, I had protection wrapped it in 10 layers of pallet wrap and still it's was ripped through.
2 double mattresses filthy and covered in oil because the protectors I ordered and paid for were not bought by the team, when I asked where the protectors were the guy said "the company did not send, they are s*it!"
Bedside cabinet with one leg snapped off and one leg missing, also scraped right accross the top, one of a bespoke pair. When pointed out to the man he said "I fix I fix" not possible when the legs had been wrenched off!
Sofa seat cushion had a fist sized hole punctured in it, this was on a 1 year old £1000 sofa.
New tumble dryer has paint scraped down it and a chunk out of the door.
New £150 kitchen bin scratched and dented, the team were told specifically to protect this due to the highly polished finish.
Antique lampshade crushed.
With 3 people there there is no excuse for dragging anything, you pay for items to be lifted not dragged along.
I was also charged an additional half an hour as other people have been, due to extra time, despite the fact that they took regular cigarette breaks in the short time they took to load and unload.
I contacted to discuss the damage on the day and was asked to send photos which I did, I was called by the manager who was keen to sort things without involving insurance. He asked me to send costings via email which I did, no response for a week, I then emailed again to say I wanted their insurance details and forms due to no response and still I have had no reply.
Fortunately my new home is under CCTV and the concierge can provide evidence, I now have no option but to put it in the hands of trading standards and go down the legal route.
I don't believe that the company have any insurance which is illegal.
Avoid at all costs if you value your possessions. Rated one star but should be below zero. I am not a fussy person and generally not a complainer, I had hoped that this could have been resolved quickly but now the company are refusing to reply to emails.

Rude and unprofessional avoid at all costs, not worth 1 Star.

This company are rude and unprofessional, and made sexist comments towards me asa single woman . They arrived 2 hours late, didn't pack some of my items properly which ended up broken, scattered on the street outside my property or lost. They dragged a bookcase along the ground damaging it .
The workers were unable to obey basic instructions as they did not posses even rudimentary English Language skills .
They left my sofa outside my new property, when it could have been moved into the flat with some effort and careful manoeuvring.
The final bill was 3 times the original quote.
I paid £575.00 but withheld £160 which is very fair in my view given the poor service I received. They are threatening legal action towards me , whilst I am clearly stating that I will take the matter to the Removal Ombudsman if not resolved satisfactorily.
Disgraceful company, with rude and unprofessional workers who don't speak or understand a word of English
Avoid at all costs

Smashed my TV and garden table.

Very quick at replying before the move. However after the move when they smashed up my tv and garden table they have proved very difficult to get in touch. Attempting to absolve themselves of any responsibility for the TV, saying that it wasn't wrapped in bubble wrap (it was) and that as there is no exterior damage (the screen is smashed) they can't help.

UPDATE:
After finally replying to me following this review they offered a paltry and frankly insulting amount as compensation which would barely cover the delivery cost of a replacement TV. If the score could go lower, it would.

According to the company Terms and Conditions an additional insurance cover is required for all expensive items valued over £100.

Although you didn't arrange such insurance cover I understand how stressful and frustrating the whole situation might be for you and as a gesture of good will a compensation was offered to you.

Unfortunately we can't take responsibility for electronic items submitted for move that we haven't tested and packed prior to the move.

Did not wear appropriate PPE and damaged items

I cannot recommend removals zone if you are planning a house move. We specifically hired this company and requested they wear full antibacterial suits - this was the only reason we actually chose the company. This is due to me being clinically extremely vulnerable to COVId. On the morning of the move they told me they did not have the suits available, and if I wanted them the movers would be 3 hours late. 3 hours late was not an option as the house had to be vacant by 2pm (they said they would end up arriving at 3pm if they had to wear the suits). One of the movers did not wear his mask over his nose also. On top of this they have very badly damaged our large chest of drawers, it’s clearly been dropped as all of the drawers have broken in half. There is also large gashes taken out of the painted wood on the corners. While the guys who did the move were nice guys and very helpful, I cannot recommend this company.
