I had four quotes for my planned relocation. Move Synergy's was the lowest. Communication was good with quick replies to my emails. On the day of the move, the removal truck arrived a few minutes early at the storage facility in Devon. Loading was well organised and the truck was soon on it's way. Delivery was scheduled for the next morning in County Fermanagh. I drove straight from the docks in Belfast to my new home, arriving a few minutes after the removal truck. The guys located all the furniture and boxes in the various rooms, and after checking everything was in the right place, and I was happy, they went onto their next job. I'm glad I used Move Synergy. Gerald, Ant and the team made this a stress free move. I hope to use their services again in the future.

Avoid avoid avoid. Please stay well clear of this company! My main grievance is how they handle a complaint rather than the move itself. When things go wrong that can easily be sorted out this company takes no ownership. Their customer services is the worst I've ever come across. I experienced some damage to my furnature. After paying an extra 10% for full insurance cover, I received no support with my claim and no offer of compensation or a repair service and when I contacted the insurers direct they had no record of my claim! I also had some very expensive items go missing on the day of the move. I was told an employee had been dismissed from the company without pay and was offered a small amount compensation by the owner. However this was an empty gesture and never received. I chased up these 2 complaints with the company's owner Gerald for 12 months and received no support. The end result was court action to which I won. In fact the owner turned very nasty towards the end accusing me of fraud ( for the damaged furnature) and threatening me with legal action. Absolutely disgusting customer service from the owner himself. Please please protect yourself and use another firm for your move.

The quotation process and even the guys packing and moving on the days in question were perfectly straightforward to deal with however an issue regarding items taken by move synergy in error during the move was not adequately dealt with and remains unresolved despite my repeated attempts to get it resolved… it should have been pretty straightforward really ie just return the items but they clearly are not interested in aftercare (we moved 3 months ago now) once they’ve had your money, sadly. Perception therefore is of a rather disappointing service ultimately.

We requested a packing service and removal. The packing involved throwing our belongings into flimsy boxes (including glass and ceramics). A designer table was pushed into the back of a lorry unprotected and got damaged. The young lads on the team were rude and impatient. They just wanted to get out. They damaged the walls, which meant we had to get the hallway redecorated. Our insurance covered the damage to our belongings but they could not get our excess back from this company. We hired this company to alleviate the stress of moving and instead, they made it so much worse.

Service cost: £1200

I don't usually do reviews, but Move-Synergy were so kind, considerate and patient with my disabled and (highly) stressed mother, they turned what could have been a nightmare into an easy, straightforward day.

They set her at ease brilliantly in the pre-move assessment, and the team on the day were cheerful, friendly and patient (as well as very effective with the actual work, of course).

As a result, she has settled in to her new place far faster than we had expected, after spending months worrying herself sick about the move. We couldn't be more grateful to Move-Synergy.

I would strongly urge anyone considering using this company to think again. I have recently moved hone using their services and I have been bitterly disappointed by the way in which they damaged and broke several items of furniture, damaged wall coverings in moving furniture to our upstairs and moreover failing to rectify the damages . They initially stated they would arrange for repairs to be carried out and for one irreparable item to be replaced with a new one. Interestingly as I have now chased them several times to find out when this would take place they no longer respond to or return any calls, texts or emails - all to the numbers / addresses we were given and have previously used for contact . The level of damages sustained is totally unacceptable and demonstrates a total lack of care or attention to our possessions . Do not be fooled by a professional looking website and friendly home visit - the damage can't be done at this stage and they insist on full payment before the job commences . I would urge you to spend more on a market leading company - this will ensure you get a proper service and any issues would be followed up correctly and courteously by a company that cares about it's clients and own reputation.

Do not use this company absolute joke. They took down furniture then when reassembled it they broke a lot of things. Told us to replace it and they would reimburse us. Tried several times to contact them still not paid us back. Worst company we have ever dealt with. They came to move a four bed house in a small Luton van had to do several trips so unorganised. Do not use the guy promises everything but they are not professional at all. They have damaged so many pieces of furniture and we have had to throw away so much stuff and had to replace everything out of our own pocket.

Moving house can be a very stressful situation. However dealing with Move Synergy they were fantastic.

Dealt with Roisin who organised the move and was able to change/amend the bookings to suit with ease.

The movers arrived promptly, were considerate, nothing was too much and when they hit problems with fitting furniture through spaces, they problem solved and ensured they found a method.

Really recommend this firm!

Positives:
It was a big move. I do want to start off by saying that the gentleman who visited us to assess our house move and discuss options was helpful, thorough and was professional. They gave us boxes to start packing for which we appreciated. We also had to move our dates due to our rental not being available when they told us. We really appreciated this. The beds that were put back together seemed to be done properly. The kitchen dishes I packed were not damaged at all.

Cons:
However, we choose to do the move over three days and as things went on, it became evident that one of the gentlemen who worked for the company did not want to be there, and was very disrespectful with our property and furniture. He whined almost the whole time he was moving. I caught him trying to kick our furniture to get it apart instead of using the proper tools and thinking. The other gentleman was much more respectful. There were many other issues. One, we found item after item was damaged. Since the move, I have had to replace two wardrobes that were damaged, and I still have a number of items that were broken, a desk that was broken in the move, most of the broken items I have thrown out now. We have had a few items disappear that we cannot find. Two things that were important were my daughter's wall mirror and an expensive car boosting pack. Many things were just thrown into boxes where the boxes were not labeled or bottoms taped. My personal opinion was that the job was not done as professionally as I hoped and to a high expected standard. I choose their company because I thought if I spent a bit more than the other quotes given, I would get better value for the money. Not so in this circumstance. I and my wife have found the situation very upsetting. I have emailed the company a couple of weeks ago but have not had any response. But I will give the benefit of the double that there may be reasons for this (ie. holiday, time, etc). But I cannot give a recommendation to anyone looking to proceed with using this company.

My partner & I moved from Bromsgrove to Norfolk last week.I have nothing but praise for Gerald and his team.
We moved 3 years ago and the removal company we used then, made the whole event unpleasant. The staff moaned constantly and made my partner and I feel very uncomfortable, hence I was dreading this move.
What a different experience we had this time. Making the arrangements was easy and on the day both Gerald and his team worked really hard and efficiently. They were cheerful and had a great eye for detail, taking great care to fulfill our expectations with great consideration of our property.
I have no hesitation in recommending this company to take away the stress of moving day.

This company started off very professional. Alarm bells should of started to ring when they were to busy to drop off boxes that I had ordered so I sourced them from elsewhere. On move day all was fine until they ran out of room in the vans. This meant that we had to leave possessions behind!

When the guys unloaded at the other end the trouble really began. Unfortunately it had rained that day. Which meant there was mud up the walls and mud on the carpets this was the least of our problems.There was also scratches in the walls bumps in the ceilings from badly moved furniture. I payed for the service where furniture was to be taken apart and reassembled. This did not happen. A few of our boxes with our possessions in were wet and couple of boxes had been squashed. When I finally managed to make space to reassemble my kitchen table I found that there were deep scratches in the table top. I have also discovered a broken leg on a display cabinet and smashed corners on picture frames. Not great service.

One month later I am still waiting to hear about my claim for compensation as I payed extra for insurance and the company seems to have stopped contacting me. Al in all I would not bother with this company for big moves let them deal with the small jobs.

This company provided excellent service and went over and above the line of duty to help my move go smoothly after a very traumatic and longwinded sale wth changed dates for completion even near the booked time. Roisin came out to do the assessment and I accepted the valuation which I felt was very reasonable. She is charming and explained very clearly their histroy and and how they work now . I did most of my own packing in advance but there were tricky/delicate/precious items which were handled well. Gerald, the boss, and his assistance Jack came on the day. Move Synergy provided professional, courteous and strong help right through the day, and although the weather was exceedingly hot for the move, and there were some tricky piece of furniture to move, e.g. a heavy walnut upright piano, and they also had to take a very difficult and expensive mattress up two flights, they did not complain once. They were very sympatico to my widowed status and were very careful with my belongings. There was only a little damaged paintwork on an old wall shelf unit and on my painted wooden bedframe which was easy to touch up. They read the box labels and everything went into the right rooms, and if they weren't sure they checked, and nothing was too much trouble. In fact, they had to do a double journey to collect garden stuff which didn't fit in the van the first time. and again didn't complain once even thought this made it a long and tiring day for them. They provided good quality packing materials and with larget or awkward items that I had not packed in boxes, they used blankets to carefully protect the items they covered. The hanging wardrobes were very good and they took care with all my clothes. All in all I can't believe I am reading about the same company with some of the experiences on this site. I have moved many times in my life and had all sorts to contend with, such as a three piece suite totally lost after storage and a grand piano hugely damaged, but this time the care was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them. in fact I have done already and my sister in law has just emmployed them for a diffcult two-phase move for a live/work property and I have passed on details to two other friends about to move locally as I believe Gerald and Roisin will be perfect for their needs, as both famlies have tricky issues to contend with. Well done team! And thank you for making the start in my new home so manageable and happy.

Move Synergy can be totally recommended as a house contents moving company.
They are well organised, good communicators, intelligent, careful and sensibly priced.
They are accommodating and very willing to go that extra mile to get the job done. They moved large, awkward antiques with care and came back to make sure that they were reconstructed happily in their new home.
We look forward to Gerald and his team coming back for a second day to complete our move.
We recommend them without reservation.

Cannot fault the professional service from Gerald and the team at Move Synergy. From initial consultation to the actual move was faultless. We paid for the additional reassemble service and was a great help. The team were their early on the date of removal and only left once we were totally satisfied that all items were accounted for and were placed and unloaded where we wanted them to be. All items that had to be reassembled were done perfectly. Very professional throughout.
All in all a great job, would highly recommend.

A big thank you to the guys for an absolutely painless move. They were polite, friendly and efficient, the move couldn't have gone any smoother. I was very impressed with their speed and knowledge of how to get large furniture in and around small spaces. They were brilliant. Somehow we managed to miss the rain at both ends and it was all finished by 13:15, amazing.

I would definitely recommend this company for an excellent service from my initial inquiry for a quote to the final piece of furniture being delivered to the new home.
