Intercity Removals

I have moved many times and all over the country. I have used many different removal companies and I employed Intercity Removals because of the good reviews online. I highly trusted and believed in the capabilities of the staff.

On the day of the move I discovered that the two removal men who turned up could not speak English. This made matters very difficult, as nobody was able to explain anything in detail. I even had to ring the office to have someone interpret for me.

Once my belongings were delivered, I discovered that not only was everything dumped in a chaotic way, so that it was impossible to move within the flat, bt items were broken. They took no account of my visual impairment and of the consequences their actions had. Kitchen boxes and Clothes were all mixed up and
dumped in an haphazard way.

One of my lamps is broken and I had to purchase parts that they did not bother token she to refit afterwards.

I really hope nobody else will have such a bad experience, but I recommend to check the capabilities of the removal men before accepting the quote and hiring people from this company.

There was a slight delay with arrival time on a frosty morning which wasn't an issue for me. Two very helpful guys, super organised, were happy to do a slight detour to enable me to drop off the keys to the landlord. Loaded in 1 hour - faster than expected. Helpful, excellent service which made a huge difference for me
in what has been a stressful relocation. Professional lead up to the move itself, checking all details. Really appreciative of the quality of their service.

We used Intercity Removals for a recent move, and they were great. Arrived on time, packed up in no time. Really friendly and down to earth guys. George the main guy really sets your mind at ease, and you feel safe that you can just leave them to get on with things. They were very respectful and careful when packing and unpacking all of our belongings. No items were damaged or lost, made everything really stress free, what else can you ask for? Even disassembled and reassembled all of our beds! Would use them again and recommend to anyone.

The quote from Intercity Removals was far far better than any other we had received. We were almost too scared to use them at such a low price, but after reading so many positive reviews about them we went ahead and are very glad we did! They were efficient, helpful, happy to assist in any way they could. They packed for us in addition to moving our stuff and everything was done well. As well as being helpful they are extremely polite and you feel that nothing is too much trouble. Despite having to travel from Cardiff to Bristol to pack and move us, they arrived early and ready to go. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a very reasonably-priced, hassle-free move.

I would highly recommend this company. They are very professional, understanding and communicate regularly with you at every step. This was my first significant move for a while so I was naturally quite concerned and needed a company I could trust. From the start the company gave off all the right vibes for me and quickly got back to me if I had any concerns or queries. I made an enquiry and got a full quotation. On the move day, they were professional, kind, didn't make a fuss and just got on and did the job. The whole move was very smooth and actually a really pleasant experience.

Huge thanks and praise for the guys who helped us move recently! All three were friendly, professional and got the job done insanely quickly, despite the many challenging staircases up to our old flat. They worked so hard to move our heavy belongings and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Intercity removals were fantastic form start to finish with our recent house move.
Despite the horrendous weather conditions, snow and ice, the team did an amazing job in making sure our minds were put to rest with having to move our dates around. They were accommodating and professional at all times. Form the start; the courtesy phone call, the visit to do the quote, to moving on the day, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Intercity removals certainly go the extra mile and step up when needed.

Intercity Removals made what is generally considered to be a stressful day easy. Specifically, they turned up on time, were flexible with regards to our requests, were patient when we hadn't quite finished dismantling of furniture, worked tirelessly, handled our goods with care and communicated well. I guess the only thing I'd complain about was actually my fault I.e. I didn't realize how much the addition of boxes and VAT would add to the price. Nevertheless, great service!

We were concerned about the size of van which would get into the car park of our new address. Intercity provided a 7.5 ton Luton van and long wheel based transit van. Both George's who carried out the removals were excellent, they carefully wrapped our pictures, TV, computer monitor etc in miles of bubble wrap and were waiting at our new address when I arrived from picking up the keys from the estate agent. Everything was in our new home in the rooms we required by about 4-00pm, no damage or breakages.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Intercity to anyone who is contemplating moving, very friendly and professional staff from our first telephone enquiry through to the marvellous George's.

I used Intercity Removals for a local office relocation in December and I would highly recommend them. The guy who came to do the quote was very thorough and friendly as were all the staff in the office. There was a slight confusion about location on the day of the move but that was quickly resolved. The guys loaded the van efficiently and quickly. Another slight problem at the new office in that the lift wasn't working. But the removal guys took this in their stride and worked around it very professionally. Everything was delivered without any issue, even one item that got left on the van. I had a phone call and the item was delivered later in the day. All in all an excellent service and I would have no hesitation in using Intercity Removals again.

The Head Office kept us informed all the time and all the staff kept in touch during move so that we knew what was going on re arrival times etc.

All the dismantling and reassembly was done with care and not rushed. Use them! And they were half the price the price of other firm!.

Outstanding service throughout. Our move was made stress free and the removal team took exceptional care not only with our items but with our home. The customer service support was excellent throughout from the original survey taken of our home right through to moving day. I had shopped around as I wanted a reliable company that offered good value for money and Intercity Removals ticks all the boxes. Really glad I went with this company for my recent move. Had to do 2 moves, first into storage for a few weeks and then into my new home once it was ready. Everyone was really helpful, an initial survey made sure I was booking the correct size storage unit and they were flexible on dates, both teams who carried out the moves were punctual, professional, friendly and they got the job done in really good time. I was happy to see all my stuff had been stored carefully and was well looked after. Competitive pricing as well. Would recommend and would definitely use again.

This company just completed our move from our top floor flat to a town house. From the packing team all through to the guys moving everything was absolutely amazing. The guys were so friendly and hard working. They really cared about our items and made sure everything was wrapped, handled and packaged with care. They did not stop and did not make one negative comment about the stairs or the amount of things to move. Absolutely great company and fantastic value and you can definitely trust that they will do a great job. Third time we have used Intercity Removals and each time they have provided a fantastic professional service at a great price. The teams of removers are always very good but this time we had the best team ever. So hard working and very patient, calm, quick and efficient considering that we had a lot of very heavy and awkward items! We used Intercity Removals for our move last week and were absolutely delighted that we chose this firm. From the first estimate until the last box was taken off their lorry their service was excellent. The team of movers were so polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I recently used Intercity Removals for my move from South Wales to Somerset.
The process was approached with professionalism and understanding from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble.
Claire in the office was always on hand to deal with any issues and all my queries and requests were responded to promptly and with apparent ease.
On the actual moving day, the team arrived on time and packed all my items with care. They arrived at the new address at the time they specified and with no damage or breakages.

We used Intercity Removals to move my 85 year old mother across Cardiff which was a very daunting day for her and one we felt would be stressful. Intercity turned up on time and quickly assessed what they needed to do. The two lads were very polite and efficient and just simply got on with it. Then at the other end despite the new address being on the first floor and the fact they had to use a lift there were no complaints from them and no drop in their efforts. And no breakages!!
We would like to thank the two lads and the backroom staff at Intercity Removals for their wonderful service and help in making this a stress free day for us all and would highly recommend their company to anyone.
