France Removals

You don't want to have anything to do with this company. This was my worst experience with removal companies. My furniture has been damaged, sent to a different address.
When I asked for cost repairs they refused and they started a battle which ended in them refusing to deliver back my furniture from the storage. After appointing a solicitor I had to hire a different company to go and pick my furniture up. The level of service was a nightmare.I have been threatened to go and pick up my stuff within a certain date or they would have thrown it in a bin. These guys should be banned to serve anyone in this country. Follow my advice: DO NOT USE.

Moving country takes a lot of planning and Leo made everything easy from the enquiry and booking to the move it self. We had a lot of furniture and personnel effects and other companies made big issues about size of trucks transloading insurance etc . Leo took down the details and told us what we required and gave us the good solution including insurance and two Lorries  We found that they were able to offer the dates we required , acted professionally and delivered our personal effects without breakage and on time.   Thanks Leo and the guys that made our move so smooth. C .

Seemless service! I was in Hawaii and needed to move a few boxes from Paris to London, coordinating with other people was included, I was worried because I had no control over anything, being so far away time difference. It turned out I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Leo and France Removals staff handled everything so well, so profesionally. Everything happened when they said it would, how it would. They speak Frenc which was so handy when handling my affairs in Paris, I really appreciated that too. Thank you Leo and the team for such brilliant work!

I was really pleased with the professionnalism of the removers and the disponibility of Leo the salesman. He answered very quickly all my emails, even when I sent them really early or late in the day, and even when I asked him some modifications 1 hour prior the removal! The removers were really nice and efficient. I picked this company on the net and I was first effrayed to send the first upfront payement, but I quickly recieved the invoices and payement reciepts. Everything was really well planned and secure. Thank you for your help, organizing a removal from one country to an other is quite intense, and stressing, but France Removals made it really nice and easy for me.

I used France Removals because of the good reviews here, but was a really unpleaseant experience. First, I had to call 6 times to confirm they received my payment, because they continued to send me the invoice note. Out of those calls, at least 3 times the person on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. The day of the removal I asked to be contacted ONE HOUR BEFORE the truck arrival, because I'm living far from the place where my stuff was stored. They called me 20 min before the truck arrived. Of course, I was late and when I arrived, the truck was not there. So, I had to call them again like 5 times to ask the driver to return, again, the person on the phone was rude, told me several times that he was going to call the driver and call me back, but that never happened (that's why I called several times) and was really informal with me (I'm sorry but I don't like that people that I don't know call me for my first name when I'm making a complain about they service).  1 hour and 35 min after, the driver came and took my stuff. I gave to the driver the address of the delivery (he did not have it) and specify that the delivery should be done during the next morning, because the person (my boyfriend) receiving the items had things to do, and only could be around the morning. I thought that everything was going to go nicely after that but I was wrong. At 13.30 of the next day, my boyfriend began to call the office number because the truck wasn't there. Nobody answered the phone at any time, so I sent an email asking about the situation, and 30 min after, they sent me an email saying that they didn't know about that situation, the driver was late and was not possible to make the delivery that day. They offered me to make the delivery the next day (Sunday) at 8-10 am.  Why could't they check with the driver, and call me before noon telling me this? I DONT KNOW, but apparently they don't care about their costumers time, and they don't really care about the petitions that we make.On Sunday morning the driver came at  10:30, late again and finally my things arrived home. But I'm really dissapointed with the service, because moving is stressful and France Removals made it more Stressful.

Despite having a largely positive interaction with Leo and France Removals before and during our move, unfortunately 3 items which left our old property never arrived at our new property.

The dialogue since has been overwhelmingly disappointing, with Leo and his team not taking any real responsibility for the missing items, to the point where after a number of calls and emails, I've had no further responses or even offer of compensation. It's been made clear that we must be mistaken and its our fault.

So my advice for anyone contemplating using France Removals is to make sure you have a clear inventory list of all items before and after the move which is agreed by those undertaking the removal.

From beginning to end, my dealings with France Removals and in particular Leo Popa and his team have been excellent.
At the planing stage in London, I was given all the information I needed to set up the move of some furniture, numerous books and some artefacts from Paris to London. I was able to agree a date of my choosing. I had extra requirements for transporting safely 60 bottles of old French wines. For a very reasonable price, Leo Popa provided me with polystyrene boxes just perfect for the transport.
On the day the driver and his team mate arrived early, they proceeded very professionally, carefully handling the furniture, boxes and wine. They assisted me in packing the wine which was a great help. Having started work before 8.00am, they were ready to go by lunch time. They could have reached our home in London the next day but at my request agreed to wait an extra day which suited us better.
My husband took delivery of the goods in London. Again the team was on time and efficiently delivered our goods. They further obliged by driving to two other addresses, admittedly not very far away but nevertheless, they did deliver one piece of furniture to one other address and two to yet another place, all on time as agreed.
My thanks go to Leo Popa, Alan and his co-worker for a job very well done, carried out efficiently in a relaxed atmosphere.
