DBM Express

After 25 years living in one place in London, we decided on a move to Luton and started looking on comparemymove.com for a stress-free, full packing removal service. We obtained surveys from several firms ultimately booked our move with DBM Express, even though their quote was not the lowest all their reviews were 5 stars.

The completion of our purchase became delayed for 6 days, which was hugely stressful as we could have lost the deposit on the new house, but the team at DBM (thank you Bianca and Eduard) were very understanding and didn't add to the pressure we were under, which we were very grateful for.

It all thankfully worked out in the end and I can only say what thoroughly professional and pleasant people DBM were to deal with. Recommended without reservations and another deserved 5 stars.

I don't know where to start from?
The very responsive customer service before the day of the move?
Their flexible response when I was changing the details of my shipment.
On the day of the move I hadn't finished with the packing. The crew helped me to pack the remaining boxes.without making me feel stressed. On my most stressful day I had a company that made me feel relaxed. Everything happened on time.. I will 200% recommend DBM express :).

BE WARNED!!

By the very nature of DBM's dishonestly in dealing with my grievances
I am sure there may be a comment below rubbishing my claims.
It appears they have done similar things with other bad reviews.

Perhaps read them and make up your own mind.

I have nothing to gain from this review, I simply wish to warn people
about what they might encounter from the services at DBM.

If DBM wish to contact me, you have my details, we can resolve this
issue and I can amend this review accordingly.

Below is a précis of events and their incompetence.

As a cabinet maker I hired DBM to lift a heavy table I had made for a client into a
basement from the street.

They made assurances that the operation would be conducted as per my
instructions using four men and ropes.

On the day only three men turned up, they used no ropes and broke a very expensive table.

The team would not admit what they had done, accused me of trying to deliver
an already broken table, became aggressive and were asked to leave.

When phoned, Eduard (unsure of company role) admitted fault and offered appropriate compensation for repairs to their damage.

Since trying to chase this up I have been lied to, ignored and am now positive after giving
them many chances to rectify the situation that they just do not care.

If this is the kind of service you would like to receive when moving your valuable items
then they are the guys for the job!

DBM offers a service beyond expectation and we cannot thank them enough! Not only is the quality of communication excellent at every level but their desire to accommodate the vagaries of the house moving process could not have been bettered. Having suffered more than one change of date and finally a contract exchange the day before completion there was then a 3 hour wait to access our new property. The removal staff did an 11 hour day without complaint and remained courteous and kind at all times. If you want to find out how it really should be done go DBM!

Recently we moved to a new place with help from DBM. I found the moving very professionally handled from arranging a survey visit to negotiating a reasonable price for their services and also offering an insurance coverage for our belongings with no extra cost or imposing conditions on packing them selves in order to provide coverage. The workers who did the moving where very polite and accommodating and extremely fast if you consider that we moved two flats into one bigger in a morning. Highly recommended and would book them again. Many thanks for helping us with our moving!

DBM did a video call upfront to get an impression of how much stuff needed to move. That was very efficient and also a safe way of avoiding any surprises for both sides.
The service staff at the office was extremely friendly and helpful. I called in several times as the date of my move wasn't certain until a few days before. They were great about it. They were also great in providing me with different options and their prices. With some places you try to avoid calling them, DBM is the opposite. You like calling them, because they're so friendly and helpful.
On the day of the move, the three guys were very efficient, but without being stressed or under too much pressure, I.e. they took good care of fragile items for example. Everything worked as it should: smooth, efficient, and if unsure, they asked me how I wanted it done.
A really great job!

Considering it was the hottest day of the year (and we live in a town house) the guys didn't stop. They arrived at 8am, our belongings were packed up by 12pm & delivered (with no damages) all on the same day to our new address in Woking.

It was a great service and Bianca was also very accommodating when we had to change the removal date at short notice. Having shopped around for a quote, they were the most competitive and by far the most professional and responsive to deal with.

I would highly recommend their service.

Our total experience with DBS Express from start to finish was excellent.
We had to change our moving date at fairly short notice 4 times due to solicitor conveyancing delays and DBS were accommodating every time.
On the day they arrived promptly and the house contents were packed up and loaded into the vans quickly and carefully.
The unloading at the new house was equally quick and without fuss. All items moved were handled very carefully and there was no scraping or bumping of walls etc during the move.
We were very happy with the whole episode, and would use them again without hesitation.
We would be happy to recommend them without reservation.

I found from start to finish that DBM Express provided an excellent service when handling the removals for my recent relocation from Essex to Merseyside. Bianca's administration was very helpful and accommodating when I was waiting for my completion date to come through. On both pick up and drop off, both Dragos and his colleague where courteous, efficient, speedy and helpful, helping to keep my stress levels to a minimum! I felt their service provided excellent value for money and I would certainly use them again.

Hats off to the DBM team for a job well done! We booked them for half a day's packing and a half day move (the following morning), and it all went like clockwork. They were punctual, friendly and very efficient. All our possessions were well packed, the boxes clearly labelled, and they took care when deconstructing the furniture and wrapping it. The move went very smoothly, and the whole job was completed as promised, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm. They reconstructed the beds/table and everything arrived in the same condition it had been in our old home. Well done guys! On a final note, the cost of the move (£790, including packing & moving) was by far the cheapest quote we got online, so all round I can highly recommend DBM.

On the hottest day of the summer so far, 3 Latvian men and a van from DBM were to help me clear out my aunts house in central London and move the contents to storage in South London. They were on time, I was caught in traffic. They worked tireless, were polite and helpful and when the move went way past a reasonable time due to London, they said nothing. The left South London at 8pm, 12 hours after they started having (volunteered) and rearranged the items in storage to help me fit everything in without being asked. The removal men were brilliant, the company administrator, Bianca, was helpful and efficient. I rarely find any service faultless, but this really was and I recommend them without reservation.

I want to say that I cannot recommend them enough.
I have used other moving companies and was rather disappointed, but DBM Movers took care of everything for me. I had cheaper quotes, but given my previous experiences and some rather expensive furniture and items, I didn't want to risk it.
The surveyor was professional and explained everything thoroughly.
The men were right on time, a bit earlier even and waited for me until I was ready. They started packing from the go and worked really hard all day long.
Every box was labelled and packed carefully, found no breakages. All the items were carefully wrapped and moved, even some of the old stuff I still had around which I just had to move.
I can say that they deliver the service they say and they do it at competitive and affordable rates.

Following a personal recommendation from someone who had previously used DBM Express Movers, we used them to move from one furnished apartment to another in Central London.

Bianca was very efficient in dealing with the necessary paperwork prior to our move. Removal team arrived as arranged and had us packed and out of our old flat at lunchtime, and in to the new apartment late afternoon. All went very smoothly and the guys helped make what could have been a stressful day go very well.

We would recommend the services of DBM Express Movers to others.

I felt compelled to leave a review following the excellent service I received from DBM Express from start to finish.
The process was expertly managed, the movers were incredibly hard working and friendly. They also went above and beyond what I expected such as even connecting my new washing machine and helping with a few bits and pieces in the new house.

Everything was moved successfully from A to B with no breakages or damage to the inside of the house or any of the furniture.

This is one company I will definitely recommend to anyone.

Big thanks to the DBM Express team for ensuring that our move this week was smooth and easy. We were moving into temporary accommodation while renovating a new place, so half our stuff was going to storage and half to the temporary accommodation. We had to reschedule a number of times due to problems with our sale, and Bianca was very helpful and accommodating. On the day, the guys were professional, efficient and hard working. They made it look easy and the whole exercise was seamless. The price was very competitive too. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends.
