This is the second time that we have moved house in the last two years and both times we have used Clapham Removals. All of the staff that we spoke to were friendly, efficient, prompt and professional from the original quote to the final box being unloaded. They worked with us to ensure that the day was organised, ensuring we had the packing materials in plenty of time and reorganising at the last minute when our completion date became delayed. The moving day went very quickly with the pick-up and delivery going very smoothly and being under time and under budget.   I hope we don't move again, but if we did, I would certainly use this company again.

We used these people to move, do not touch them with a barge pole. The quote was originally ok but lumped on the price of boxes and moving on a bank holiday. We were desperate to move and in a hurry so foolishly went with them anyway. When the movers turned up they hardly spoke a word of English there van looked like something from the early 80s, Clapham Removals..Clapped out Removals more like. It looked they had just employed a couple of local lads for the day. The movers damaged several pieces in transit, turns out it wasn't actually insured!! Trying to deal with them afterwards was a nightmare, ending up taking them to court!! Do your self a favour and get a decent national mover. If you do use these people check the paper work carefully before signing.

Booked Clapham Rremovals after trawling the internet for ages to find a company with good reviews and not charging a fortune. We moved from SW London to Surrey, from a ground & 1st floor property to a 1st floor.
The guys were marginally late arriving in the morning, but called to let us know so no big deal. As soon as they arrived they got straight to it, asking our exact requirements, if anything needed to be wrapped or was especially valuable / delicate. They made short work of loading up, even getting 2 huge sofas out in less than 10 minutes when it had taken the delivery guys over 2 hours to get them in.
Unloading took longer due to the distance from lorry to the property, but the guys worked incredibly hard non stop to get everything unpacked - even having to be creative and bring the wardrobe in via the balcony! They also even helped suggested where some pieces of furniture should go to make best use of the space!
I would 100% recommend this company, the price was good and well worth it having seen how good the guys were, how hard they worked and took good care of our belongings too.

Very impressed by Clapham Removals who packed and moved me in June 2012. They packed everything incredibly carefully and rapidly, did not waste packing materials and worked harder than I thought possible. All whilst remaining the calm presence in the storm of moving. I found their reassuring expertise made the move as painless as possible. Everything arrived intact, with a polite and prompt service. So THANK YOU Clapham Removals, I'd have no hesitations in recommending them incredibly highly.

I found Clapham Removals Ltd from the very start of the process to be nothing but helpful and efficient. The staff at the office did their upmost to make sure everything required was met.

On the day of the move, I had two very friendly men arrive at my flat on time. They very quickly packed everything up, taking care of fragile items, and packing into the lorry.

Once arrived on destination, they were once more extremely helpful and did the job on time and with no mishap.

Would happily recommend them to anyone looking to move home if they want a quick, reliable and very friendly service. All within a very competitive price range.

I would definitely recommend Clapham Removals. The three guys were very fast but careful, really strong and made the move as stress free as possible.
Although we were kept waiting by the exiting tenants and had to hang around for 2 hours before being able to unload, the guys were patient and tried to make up the time on the second run as quickly as possible. The quote above doesn't include VAT and covered the average amount of furniture for a large 2 bedroom flat in South London.

Adam and Lucy at Clapham Removals proved that they can offer a similar service to the larger nationals without the associated cost. The team was friendly, trustworthy and efficient. The move was only around the corner, but the packing was professional and no chances were taken with fragile items. We had a delivery of boxes prior to the packing date so that we could start on the boxing up, but everything else was managed for us on the day. I would definitely recommend them for any similar local move.

I chose Clapham Removals because I had read other good reviews online but I was really shocked at what I got with them. The person who provided the estimate for me never responded to my email queries once I had paid a deposit. He offered to bring boxes and didn't show up until I called four days later to chase them up. The crew was poorly trained and during a two-day move were not the same guys on each day, so I felt like I was re-explaining how and where I wanted things placed in the new house. They damaged a lampshade during the move and tossed picture frames unwrapped into boxes. They assembled a wardrobe in the wrong room, and this was after I gave them a floorplan showing the placement of all the furniture. Another wardrobe was assembled only with packing tape across the back of it, so flimsy that I was almost able to push it over with one finger. They balked about carrying a clothes dresser to a first floor bedroom, and finally did it after my arm twisting by a wing and a prayer. The shouting between them was so tense I had to stand outside out of earshot. They snapped the dowels off of a bookcase and it lay in pieces, disassembled in my son's room for two weeks after the move while they ordered replacement dowels. The list is long.. Whenever there was a mistake made they were willing to make good and rectify it, but who wants to have to deal with all this rectification? You just want to move. And the coup de grace was finding dozens of cigarette butts (the crew's - we don't smoke) when we were cleaning out the garden of our old house after they had moved us out. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more with someone professional like Burke & Wills. I wish I hadn't gone with Clapham Removals.
