Summary

1)Owners will provide a great sales pitch, but they will not speak to you again after that

2)Insurance policy they claim to have is not work the paper it is written on, and any damages caused will NOT be compensated

3)Customer service is non-existent

One of the owners Terry came to visit our property to give us a quote. He was a great salesman and we were sold based on the fact that our items would be insured whilst in their Storage facility. We have a complicated move as we were moving into temporary accommodation for 1.5 month, so would have required their services again as our items will be left in their storage. Terry promised that we would get a 10% discount for when we were moving from the temporary accommodation into our permanent residence. The movers themselves under Ben as leads were fantastic. I can’t fault them… they worked hard and Ben was a true professional

The problems started when we needed to move into our permanent residence.

1)The 10% discount disappeared because apparently in the 1.5 months, they had increased their prices by 20%. I find this very convenient, and they claimed they were doing me a favour by not charging me 20% extra. I asked to speak to Terry who never bothered calling me back. The fact is they knew I had no choice but to go with them as my items were in their storage

2)We found out there were Southwark roadworks a week before the move. We immediately contacted Caesey and they started quoting us the term and conditions, when we asked for a date change. Apparently, even a date change (which was completely unavoidable.... like the council closing the road) with a week ahead notice, is considered a cancellation and that will result in a 50% non-refundable cost. Thankfully after consulting with Southwark we got an exception and they allowed us to park outside. Funnily enough Caesey called me the day before asking for a time change, but did not offer me 50% cancellation on their behave…

3)Moving into the property we again had a team lead by Ben. Unfortunately this time there were damages to the property including damages to the furniture and fittings. The payment to Casey’s is automatic and it had already come out of my account…. as they used the same card as the one I used to pay the deposit. I wrote to Caesey’s about the damages immediately and was told I would get someone coming over to review. That was 1 month ago, and after 4 emails and no response, I am now writing this review.

BIG shout out to the fantastic team of Jack, Bruno and Pete and led by Lewis. It was a two day move and day 1 we had our first rain in about three months! Not helpful - Particularly as we were moving from a maisonette above a shop - and access was via a narrow alleyway (not wide enough for the truck) and up a metal staircase - not great in the pouring rain.

Over the two days Lewis, Jack, Bruno and Peter worked tirelessly, were professional throughout and with a great sense of humour - always a bonus! We can’t thank them enough for enabling a smooth transition to our new home. Thanks a million Joy, Kim and Neil

We were pleased with the service we received from Casey's. They packed up the whole house in less than a day (including emptying the loft, shed, garden etc) and with very little input required from us. The next day they arrived early to finish, then drove to Thanet. Our sellers were very slow in vacating the new house and the movers waited for them to leave without complaint which we appreciated, as the situation was already quite stressful. We were not required to do anything really - they just got on with the job and didn't quibble about anything or complain. On unpacking we felt there were a few things that could have been packed more carefully but on the whole felt this was a great service. Thank you!

I found Casey's to be very professional from the start of the quotation to the actual move. The team arrived on time and were very efficient and careful with all of our furniture. Lewis, who was in charge of the team, was very knowledgeable about all aspects of moving and how the removal van was packed. Our furniture went into storage and again the team were careful and thoughtful about how the items were packed in the storage unit. I would have no hesitation in recommending Casey's.

Having used Casey's before when coordinating an office move, they were my first choice for a domestic removal quote - which was competitive and easy to budget for with their online cost estimator

Contact from the office (Kate and Amy) was timely and efficient.

On the removal day -I arrived early at my storage place to find the guys already there and ready to start, after a quick assessment of the scope of the task

All items in the truck in short order and then off again at the other end and into the apartment

Would highly recommend Casey’s (either domestic or commercial) and would of course not hesitate to use them again for my next move

The move from Wonersh to Rochester was the latest in many moves that Casey's has done for us.

We have recently closed a large residential college, and its very varied contents have been moved to numerous places in London and the South East. None of the moves has been straightforward, but Casey's could not have been more professional or more helpful in handling these challenging jobs.

We really could not be more satisfied, or recommend Casey's more highly. There was not a single one of the many jobs that did not go like clockwork. Both the office staff and the removal teams were a real credit to the company. Thank you so much!

Move size: Commercial Move Service cost: £5400

All went well from the initial quote (prompt and very reasonable), through other interactions with the office and delivery of boxes and packing materials to my old flat. My move was for only a short distance but involved emptying a big flat and removing a lot of items, many of them heavy and cumbersome, to a much smaller one up two flights of stairs. The team was a delight to work with. Extremely helpful and thorough in the first location (they even found items I didn't know I'd lost) and unbelievably quick. Despite the physically challenging and tiring nature of the second leg, they approached me and it with good humour and professionalism. They even shared good ideas, based on many years' experience, as to how I might overcome some of the downsides of such drastic downsizing. I certainly recommend Casey's and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Caseys Removals were the best decision we made when moving house.

Firstly, they visited our property for a recce the week before to work out what van type would be needed for the job (it would have been a disaster if we had tried to move on our own as we were going to hire a small luton van to do it all, but Casey’s team knew we needed a larger van and exactly how many people it would take to get the job done on time - and they were absolutely right tbf).

On the moving day, the removal team came round early and made our move really stress-free, packing everything into the van quickly and carefully. Massive thanks to Lewis and his team who were awesome. Really friendly, chatty, funny. We had a few boxes that me and my wife were still packing up (really does take longer than you think, doesn’t it?) so the guys helped us with all of that and it was no problem at all.

On arrival at our new home, Lewis helped the previous owner move their furniture out too as they were having some trouble with their removal team (who were running late...) so that we could get into the property in good time.

I can’t recommend them enough, so if you’re looking for a brilliant removal firm who will make your life easy and get the job done well, you’ve found them.

Overall a good experience with booking the removals service. Katie in the office was very helpful and professional. Great service with somebody coming round to give a quote.

On the day the guys who did our removal were great guys and really helpful and professional. They took quite a lot of stress out of a very stressful day.

However there were issues with carefulness. Our old house was left in quite a state where the men hadn't been careful in and out of the garden. The floor was left filthy with mud everywhere.

They were not very careful with items of furniture and some of it had marks on it such as digs in our bed frame, digs in dining chairs etc.

If it hadn't of been for me having kittens about our new carpet getting ruined I don't think that they would have put the carpet protectors down in our new house.

It is just something to be mindful of, but overall they were great guys.

Moved from 3 bed house in SE London to smaller but similar 3 bed in Wiltshire.

Quote as good if not better than others - Terry was professional and put us at ease on visit.

Amy in the office has been great with email communication.

The move out & in days led by Sam were brilliant. Couldn’t have asked for a more friendly hard working team both days. The nearby garage wasn’t an issue either on move out day thankfully.

Would use again if need & recommend.
