The Removals

One of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life to date! Company quoted me £270 to move the contents of a 2 bedroom house. Closer to the date they asked me to provide a list of items to be moved and I listed the biggest/main pieces. Removal team turned up 3 hours late then refused to move anything NOT on the list I.e. rugs, pictures, duffel bags, lamps, small boxes, crates etc. The team took several breaks including one to break their fast. They were rude, agressive and insisted I pay them under the table to move anything not on the list. At some point told me their van was full so they couldn't move some of the things on the list either. They then moved the van load onto the ground floor of the next property and left it all disassembled. I had to call a friend over to look after my baby and another to help my move the remaining items by car myself over several trips until 4am.
Never ever again! Be warned! Avoid at all costs! .

Appauling service DO NOT USE, 3 out of 4 crew were good the "FOREMAN" was rude and unhelpfull. The 2 vans were woefully small for the contents of our house. we wre only moving 1 mile down the rd so we presumed they would do several trips WRONG.  they filled the vans and then demanded another £700 for one more trip. we got the price down to £300. they then came back on the final run parked in our drive way ( not required ) as we organised a permit for street parking, which they allready knew.  Broke the manhole cover and wedgeing the back wheel of the overlayden van in the hole!! Eventually having spent well over 2 hours on the phone to "head office" we agreed to pay an outstanding ballance of £35 on the understanding that we unloaded the van ourselves. on unloading the van we noticed damage to several items of furnature due to amaturish "packing". AVOID AVOID at all costs .

Avoid The Removals company! They turned up an hour early at 7am, I was still not up. As it turned out the reason they did this was because they booked 2 removals jobs on the same day with the same team! My flat was cleared by 10am which is way too early to get the keys for my new property so they then demanded £200 for 'waiting time'!! They kept banging on about the other job and then said they would have to leave the stuff on the door step if I was much longer in securing the keys - something of course I could do nothing about. The foreman onsite was both aggressive and surly. When I eventually got the keys you could cut the atmosphere with a knife and I am sure the workers were buming into me on the stairs as we crossed on purpose. The Office Manager then called and asked for a furhther payment to which I refused so when I put the phone down the foreman said he would have to leave to go to the other job. They left my sofa outside the front door!!
They are greedy and duplicitious - DO NOT USE!!

The movers did not communicate efficiently with us and we incurred an additional fee of £650 (on top of agreed ''all inclusive'' £750) when our move from flat to house was suddenly delayed due to administrative reasons. Neither the office or the removals men did not tell us that we were incurring an additional £90 hour fee (totalling £650) until they downed tools, mid move, demanded more money and would do no further work until we paid. Felt threatened by them and no negotiation. They also damaged a wardrobe and table.   Would not use again or recommend. Don't be fooled by all inclusive option - it is not all inclusive.   .

Just awful! Rude, slow, unapologetic and, above all, didn't perform their contract. We had an initial low quote of £450, which seems to be their tactic to win the business at all costs, which we accepted. The quote very clearly said it included moving a piano (which had already arranged to be delivered to the new property by our storage firm) from the ground floor to the third floor. They knew it was an upright piano and they knew both properties’ layout. They revised the quote a week after the initial quote to £600 then, after charging for packaging materials and 3% surcharge for using an ordinary debit card, we HAD TO pay them £706 (or else!). The gentleman who managed the move (Mr Kharl) was wholly unprofessional and rude throughout the move. When I said I would pay him after he moved the piano he stated he would stop the removal altogether so we were left with no option but to pay him before the job was completed (in fact before any of the items had been unloaded). Later in the day, after he wasted hours arguing and halting work, he threatened to unload our property only to the ground floor! This was AFTER he had been paid and because I told him the contract had not been performed and so some compensation was due. It was a particularly unpleasant experience and not only caused my wife and I considerable distress but also upset my two very young children. This kind of behaviour is intolerable. Not only have I not received any refund from the firm due to failing to deliver the piano but also not even an apology – not one apology! I complained to them directly and have recieved no refund for failing to do what was so clearly stated on their contract. They now state that they can't help as we didn't submit a complaint in writing within seven days. Incidentally, this was for a move just 11 doors down the same (level) road! It took them all day from 9am to 8pm to get to start unloading! Draw your own conclusions but I would never use them again and absolutely would NOT RECOMMEND!!

We found this very respectable looking company on the internet and engaged their services for a rather simple move, one borough to the next. Service was prompt and cheery, until the actual move. Materials were not professionally packaged and items were not moved with great care, as promised. Overall, we received a terrible service. Unprofessional, rude and careless. The follow up care to report broken and damaged items was appauling. Speed was the essence of the job and despite concerns being aired during the move these were ignored and  dealt with very rudely. Insurance was a farce. Do not use this company. We are still regretting it.

We used company to pack and move our one bedroom flat. We had no furniture just personal contents. We got quote over the phone. Team dropped some boxes few days before that we can start packing. 2 men came on moving day morning 8 am as agreed. Pack all our stuff very fast I would say. I was expecting them to take half day packing but they did it in 2 hours. We were really pleased with the service as we were all done and dusted by 2pm. They even collected boxes after we completed unpacking. Thank you team. Eleanor.

We were very pleased with the service. Our daughter has moved out to Glasgow as she has 1 year contract to work there. We packed all well in advance so just needed man power and little bit help with wrapping TV and large furniture. They also dismantled the queen size bed. We were impressed as they started very early as early as 6 am. They loaded all very efficiently and were in Glasgow 4 pm in the afternoon. Boys were friendly and joked a lot was really nice to have them around.

Do not use this company, they are hopeless.
they quoted me for two vehicles and four men and said they would be arriving between 8 and 9 am .
They turned up at 11.30 with one van and three men, it was a fiasco
their driver then disappeared for 45 mins to pick the fourth man up from a station somewhere. I had to organise a second vehicle and drive it myself as we had to be out of the house that day.
the men worked hard to make up time but it was chaos.
they still insisted I pay the full amount. NEVER USE THEM THEY LIE.

My dear brother has passed away. We had to clear his property and put all in storage. My wife contacted this company as we wanted to use local team. They were good and very professional. We gave them all details over the phone as we live in norwich. They quoted us very reasonably as it was enough stuff to move. Men who worked on a day were friendly helped us to pack some loose items, dismantled the furniture wrapped it. They even cleared the furniture we didn't want. It was very easy to work with them. Will definately use them again.

We wanted to express our gratitude to the team who worked hard for 2 days during our move. We chose the company after we saw our neighbour being moved by them few months ago. They provided us with very competitive quote. Done complete packing which was easy part according the team. The moving day was hot hard and stressful. We were delayed to get our keys and some of our large furniture didn't fit in the main door. Lucky we have good new neighbours which we met first time same day and they let team to cross their garden. Apart from that all went well and arrived in one piece.

We have been moved by the company on the weekend. Team worked very hard and efficiently. My wife was 8 months pregnant and in charge of the move and we were so stressed. All experience was great from start to finish. They packed everything day before, than moved with large truck next day and even unpacked every single box making Settling in new place much easier and with the help of our housekeeper the next day we couldn't say that we just moved. Really nice work and great help.

The Worse removal company we used.
We searched online want to find the a removal company with packing services. 15 Large boxes including packing services for £250. No time limited, no hiding fee in contract. However the driver can't park in the correct position, has to moving stuff go through the sky garden. We help them packing and moving together. Went to new home waiting for extra 2 hours. When they arrival, they add price to £400 for 6 extra boxes! We are willing to pay £100 more, but they insist £150. During we discussed the price whether reasonable or not, refuse to off our stuff from their van. We called their company, the company stuff ask us to pay the amount they need. That's too ridiculous. It is a cheater.

WARNING: DO NOT USE

Was given one of the laziest removal man ever. He took one look at the stairs and complained from the off. I approved everything with company before hand, detailing precise contents and the stairs to negotiate in my building. I had a call from the office (the van was half full by this point) saying that I needed to pay more if they were to carry on.

At the other end, he was shouting at me to find a suitable parking space and found joy in watching me struggle to find one. He was childish and confrontational.

Even after finding a parking space, he would not deliver the contents into my new flat because he said he had to "stay with the van". He actually never stepped foot inside my new apartment (on the ground floor) leaving me and a friend to do most of the work.

I should say that the other guy they provided did his job well.

My move was stressful and strenuous and can honestly say I moved 2/3 of the contents myself.

DO NOT USE this company. Unprofessional and will try and con you into more money.

The workers are excellent they work hard and are very friendly I really can't fault them. It was not an easy move but the issues started at the management level. I was quoted 1200 for the job with a 7.5 tonne truck and 3 staff. They landed up eventually bringing 2 x Luton vans in the hope they could get them into the property however they couldn't and the guys worked really hard shifting stuff up the drive into the house and also brought more men into the job which was good. However, they left a load of stuff in the garden at my previous property, staying it wasn't all declared, be warned you have to itemize everything and if it doesn't fit in the van they simply leave it behind! I had to use my own van and it was also brimming with our stuff. We had a lot of sorting left to do at the previous property which delayed us leaving and apologising to the new owners for the stuff that was left in the garden, that was awkward and I still have to go back to get it. The Guvnor then asked for cash, going to the bank for >£500 delayed us further. When we got to the property they charged an additional £260 for the two hour wait (mostly from getting their cash and tidying the mess they left), plus £20 for the hanging boxes, then proceed to blackmail us by not unloading all our property unless we paid up front. (You only get T&C's on the day of the move and if I known how unreasonable they are, I would have gone elsewhere). Overall experience was very stressful and the guvnor was borderline sadistic, constantly on our case and not willing to get on with the job without threats and very difficult to trust. I just hope it was a language barrier that caused the bad attitude. The experience was so aggravating that I lost sleep over it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They were over 2 hours late, stratched furniture and then had the audacity to charge us more in cash on the day - telling us that if we called the office to pay for the extra boxes, we would be charged more than paying them directly. We were made to feel that we wouldn't get our stuff unless paying them.

To top it all off, they forgot to take something off the van and I have now been waiting over two months for it to be delivered! They were supposed to deliver it a few weeks ago, which I took the morning off work for, but the drivers forgot. They are now not responding to my emails.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!
