Chose THCR for my removals from Manchester to Glasgow, flat to flat. A difficult move considering stairs and lack of parking. Great communication from Peter and helped me track down the boxes (which come free) when I missed the parcel delivery. Marcus and Steven came to load which took about 3 hours and we’re very friendly and professional. Had to delay my unloading by an hour due to travel issues and THCR were very accommodating. Four people unloaded and took about an hour - very quick! Everything was in perfect condition, even glasses and pots that I hadn’t wrapped. Very impressed and will definitely use the company again in the future.

The first impression was not very good as the rep did not turn up for the appointment, however this was due to illness. Once the rep came round (Peter) he was very friendly and helpful. He input all the details into a tablet as he walked round. The quote was not the cheapest we had, but with the reviews for flat to flat that we had seen on the internet we decided to go with this one. Additionally, there was no deposit required and they requested payment two days after completion. The guys were running late on the day but they phoned to let us know. We ended up with two luton vans and five guys so the work went quickly and without any mishaps.

We were really pleased with the whole experience of moving (May 6th 2015) with Home Removals Company. Peter came and did a quote, which was exactly the figure that the website said it would be (no sneaky hidden costs) - and was under half the quote we had received from a well known house-moving firm. They provided boxes and tape for us for packing and they offered to help with the pack for a reasonable hourly fee. On the day of the move we had 3 men who were all very efficient, polite, cheerful and hard working - as we were moving out of a third floor flat with 60 steps and no lift. They were careful with our possessions and were very skilled in loading the van. They made sure that the boxes and items were delivered to the right room in the house we moved into. We had no breakages whatsoever and overall they provided a very professional service that did really take a lot of the stress out of moving house.

This company helped me move house on 22 June 2015. The service from all concerned was excellent. They packed my whole house - 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, cellar etc and moved it all to the new house. Nothing was lost or damaged. All of the removers were extremely polite and helpful. They were a pleasure to have around. Peter was also great and the price was very competitive. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Moving house is extremely stressful so to have your move completed by such nice people is wonderful.

HRC are old school excellent service and value for money. They moved my one bedroom flat from the third floor to storage, with no lift. They showed up on time, weren't phased by my stressed and tearful outbursts, were charming, helpful and treated both me and my belongings very gently! When we got to the storage unit, they were experienced enough to know that I might have to go up one size and they were right. They weren't obligated to help me with that, they did so because they're professionals. The lads were absolutely brilliant and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

My partner and I did a random google search to find HRC and knew nothing about them beforehand so we were a bit apprehensive as to what our experience would be like. I am happy to say that we had a great experience with these guys - the quote we were provided with online was close to that which we ended up paying (even though I think we actually ended up with a couple more boxes than we originally thought), the guys were on time on the morning of the move and did not seem phased by the fact that we were still packing up the final boxes - they were happy to work around us. In addition, we were moving from a second floor flat to another second floor flat which is on a very steep hill and neither flat has lift facilities. Again, this did not seem to phase the team and they managed to get through the whole process in around 4 hours. Overall, we were very happy with the service that we received and would definitely recommend them to our friends/family.

These guys were excellent! I found them on-line using Google, I'd never heard of them before but compared them to a few other companies and decided to ask them to give me a quote. They weren't the only company who visited my old flat to give a detailed quote, but they were far and away the most professional and approachable. They explained everything I needed to know and had a quote to me very quickly. Their conduct was all I needed to be satisfied that I'd picked the right company.

Communications with them before the move were great. They answered all of my emails very quickly and no question was too much trouble for them. They delivered all the boxes I needed at a time that suited me and were happy to provide more if I needed them.

On the day of the move itself they arrived about 10 minutes early and just cracked on and got everything done. The guys doing the move were very friendly and professional and I couldn't believe how quickly they got the van packed. The place I was moving to was only 10 minutes away and they were there and unpacked just as quickly. All in all, I reckon it took no more than two and a half hours from when they first arrived to when the move was finally done.

Like the subject line of my review says, I can't rate them highly enough. Moving house isn't something I do very often but if they're still around the next time I do, I won't hesitate to use them again.

From the start everything went very smoothly. Our initial query was quickly responded to and Peter from the company came out to give us an estimate. Had a few questions between then and the move which Peter answered at all hours.

Movers came earlier than expected and with two vans - ended up needing only one but appreciated the preparedness. All the guys were friendly, professional, and made the move run smoothly. Couldn't be happier with the move, thanks again to all involved.

This company is quite simply brilliant! From initial contact with Peter, dropping off boxes and the move itself, it was all handled extremely well. E-mails were answered promptly and the 4 chaps who did the removal, headed by Martin and Marcus were so practical and helpful and quick! We moved from a ground floor flat in Glasgow to a second floor flat (with a tight stairwell) in Edinburgh. We were impressed with how they handled our large furniture items in constrained spaces, and the care taken to 'round up' all the smaller items- our belongings were expertly handled, packed and unpacked and this made the move seem incredibly easy! We would unreservedly recommend this company and they are really incredibly nice people to deal with. Thanks team, we will be recommending you to friends and family!

Quite simply the best. The Home Removals Company have moved me many times and the last move was complicated by the Gas Board digging up the road in front of the flat I was moving from, with traffic lights and irate drivers it could have been chaotic; but as usual the guys were incredibly cheerful, competent and swiftly moved everything without complaint. I would never dream of using any other company to move me and I would confidently recommend Peter and his company. Thank you for yet another great move I will continue to recommend you to friends as well as Estate Agents.

All the people involved were extremely professional, efficient and friendly. I needed a full packing and removal service. The price was extremely reasonable for the job. Peter came to have a look in advance. Everybody turned up on time and there was no time wasted. After the move they came back to collect the boxes, which saved a lot of time on my part. I’ve had to use professional removal companies 4 times before in different cities, and these guys are the best, they really made a tricky day (key exchange, move and young child to be entertained) an extremely easy business. Excellent Service from original visit by the boss Peter to deliver of Items, very efficient, Excellent customer service,, very helpful lads, Martin & Ian, everything was done with the greatest of care. No damage or breakages, they, clean tidy vans.
Far better than the bigger removal companies who are more interested in the bottom line and profits, where as with Peter's company it is more on customer service and delivering an excellent service to his clients.
Highly recommend to all.

Moving is always stressful so we had a look around online for a company with good reviews. The Home Removals Company stood out so we got in touch. Peter came to visit us and did a quick scout around to see what needed moving and when we wanted to go and gave us a quote. We then got an email confirmation the next day with all of the details confirming the cost and when it was happening.

Moving day came and we got a call to say they could accommodate us early if we wanted. The guys were there and made light work of it all. Very friendly and professional. The move was really quick and painless and our stuff was on good hands. Peter got in touch a couple of days later to confirm we were happy with everything and process payment. So easy. We sold our place and moved to a rental temporarily, with plans to buy someplace. When we do, we'll be in touch with these guys again. Recommend them - took the stress out of moving and were very professional.

Moving is always a tough time and I spent hours on sites such as this looking at reviews. I went to tender with 3 firms and having met Peter we went with Home Removals - not as 'cheapest option' but in our opinion as the best option. Having used this site to find them I think is only correct to leave a review for others to find afterwards!

They took away all our concerns, explained how the process worked (was our first such big move), the quote was simple and easy to understand (unlike some others) and we felt care and attention from day 1 from initial phone call to set up a home visit and quote until final payment. Peter even came to remove boxes himself after we moved in.

The teams who moved us out and in (we used storage for a month in between which Home Removals arranged) were all highly professional, courteous, friendly and it was a pleasure to have them around for almost 2 half days either side of the move.

I can't recommend the Home Removals Company enough. The whole process was effortless from start to finish. Peter (the owner) was professional and friendly and really flexible and adaptable, especially when I asked for a multi-drop service at short notice. On the day, four guys turned up on time and were extremely friendly and flexible and no issue seemed to big for them and made what is normally a stressful day a breeze! They moved all the furniture and boxes quickly taking extreme care with everything.
I have no doubt in recommending this company for your removal needs and is a company that I will be calling on myself in the future.

I contacted Peter on a recommendation of a friend who had done two removals with him and said they were an excellent company to deal with.
He came to my house and gave me an exact price there and then that he stuck to. On the day of the removal 2 vans and 3 guys turned up on time and ready to work. The guys were superb - very courteous and polite and got the job done quickly and efficiently without pressuring me (I wasn't completely finished packing!)
They are a superb company and I will be recommending them to my friends and will definitely be using them again!

I would 100% recommend these guys. We had a full pack and move from London to Edinburgh, and the whole thing couldn't have gone better. Mark and his colleague were really friendly and professional, and we couldn't believe how quickly they dismantled, packed and loaded our huge amount of stuff. Importantly, they treated our things with care, everything was packed really well, and it just felt like we were in really good hands. Everything arrived in perfect condition the next day.

We also used this company a few days later to put some stuff into storage - again, Mark and his colleague were fantastic, particularly at getting some very large furniture out of a very awkward space!

The booking process with Peter via email was also excellent. He replied very promptly and with really clear answers which made the whole process smooth and straightforward.

We were very impressed - two extremely positive experiences at a very reasonable price. We will definitely use this company again when we next move.
