Simply Moving

So, on a day when moving is already stressful enough, I paid for this company to move my items, provided an inventory to include full garage items, and paid up front the full cost prior to the removal. They started the process comfortably, but it all changed when they had to remove my garage items. He stated that some of my inventory, he assumed were my garage items. I stated, well it does say this on my inventory, which I can provide a copy of online if required. We then had a full blown argument as he stated that his assumptions were unfounded, and that a child could read what it clearly states on the list. He then offered to refund me pennies and try to insult my intelligence. I could not believe the cheek. This greedy company, do not deserve your money under any circumstances, and I believe the movers are probably overworked and underpaid, which is why they had issues with the inventory. My only wish, is that I'd have not paid them in advance. On your head be it, if you use this company. As much as I champion a business succeeding, I definately would not, on this occasion.

5th time the Simply Moving team have provided a full pack and removals service for me, and each time it is exceptional! No breakages in any of those moves. They consistently hold a 'can do' attitude, nothing is too much bother and their staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The full pack service means beds, wardrobes etc are deconstructed prior to move, and then reconstructed in the new home. On occasion, I have tagged on some unpacking, using their half hourly rate, to lighten the load on the other enough.. Can't recommend this company highly enough!

The team were fantastic from start to finish. So professional and made everything so easy. Communication was great the whole way through, and there weren't any hidden charges added on at the end so the quote that they gave initially was accurate as well which is rare. We had a situation were our move date was rushed through and we were actually abroad until the evening of the night before the move. Simply Moving came to the house the day before whilst we were still on our house and packed the whole house up for us anyway even though we weren't there to help, and nothing was missed at all. Couldn't recommend them enough, in fact we did to our friends that have just moved and they have had a similar experience too!!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: £1200

Despite visiting the property to assess the size of move, the small vans that arrived were inadequate for the job. We were supposed to have vacated by 1pm but the last load did not leave until 5pm. Luckily our buyer was very very understanding. To speed the move up, I agreed that some items could be deposited in a dutch barn temporarily, so that one of the vans could return quicker to collect the next load. They were then to move everything from the barn to the house upon return. As it was dark & had been a long stressful day, I took their word that the barn was now empty and everything was in the house. Next morning I discovered several boxes and many valuable items in the barn in such a state they appeared to have been pushed off the van. No doors & accessible to anyone who had cared to help themselves. I feel such a fool for tipping them when they had simply tipped my possessions. Other reviews are way way above the service I experienced so maybe I was unlucky.

You don't need to look any further than Simply Moving for your removals. They score top marks for value and service. Arrived on time and loaded up very quickly when moving my mother's belongings recently. The only hold up was in getting the keys to her new property - and that delay was at the solicitor's end. The guys showed great patience as they had to wait four hours at the other house despite only being a three mile trip (Moira to Ashby de la Zouch). But once they had access, they unloaded the furniture very quickly and the move itself couldn't have gone more smoothly. Very reasonable prices too. Give Martin a call and he will give you a quote, but this is a excellent removal company to use.

The chaps from Simply Moving arrived 30 mins early whilst we were in the middle of a kitchen flood nightmare, Richard helped us out in getting the water turned off and the room dry in lightning fast time.. I am sure they didn’t expect to find us soaking wet with my husband in his boxers at 9:30 in the morning - but they weren’t phased!!

They provided an excellent service and your chaps were incredibly well mannered.

They took care of my furniture and moved everything with ease. They helped place the large heavy items in the exact spot per room, to make the rooms come to life and I was soo grateful and impressed.

They were both polite and friendly and liked to chat with me whilst moving too.

When moving house Simply Moving were recommended by friends and we decided to ask them to undertake the move and this proved to be an excellent choice. From the first visit to assess and offer a quote through to the move itself Simply Moving were everything we could have wished for. Our sale and purchase was proving to be a very stressful time however Simply Moving relieved a lot of that stress with the service provided. From packing up the old house to moving into the new everything went smoothly. All the staff that we dealt with from admin to the removal men were friendly, efficient, professional and very helpful. We were very impressed by the service provided and would not hesitate in recommending this company to handle a move.

We used Simply Moving for our move from Burton (Staffs) to Barrow-in-Furness (Cumbria).  Martin came to do an initial consultation at a time which suited us, and then quickly got back to us with a quote that had been broken down as requested.    On the day of the move, 8 men turned up to pack (something which Pickfords didn't do last time we moved) and they packed a 5-bed house in 6 hours, includng piano and multiple large items.  When we arrived in Cumbria, they were on time, and waited patiently for keys.  In the meantime, they used common sense and unpacked outside stuff from vans.   All packers and movers were friendly, polite and professional.  All dismantled furniture was put back together properly and we had no damage or breakages. We would use Simply Moving again, having moved with the "big boys" in the past, we found this company friendly, professional, reasonably priced, and nothing was too much bother for them.   Highly recommended.  .

I needed two removals on the same day in different locations.  The first was to empty the ground floor of a house, and part of a church, and store the furniture on the upper floor and the garage.  The second was 18 miles away and was to swop over two offices in an academy that were about 100 metres apart.  Both were very complex moves with heavy items and included computer equipment, filing cabinets as well as with the first move the ususal three piece suites, beds and cabinets. After the moves I wrote to the company as follows: 'Can I just say how impressed I was by the service from your two removal men.  They were on time, flexible for our needs - both at the church and at the academy in the afternoon - worked non-stop with barely a pause even for a drink, and did it all with a smile.  I can truthfully say it was the best removal experience I have ever had!  They were a credit to your business.  I shall certainly recommend your company to anyone I hear about who is intending to move home.' Because of the unusual nature of the moves I didn't know what to expect, and now, several days later, I still feel the same as above.  I have alredy passed their name to a colleague that is considering moving.

The team at simplymoving.co.uk were fantastic! I would highly recommend them. Great friendly and professional service! Very efficient and careful on the day. The team clearly loved their work and worked so well together. Great price which I was worried might be too good to be true given other quotes, but they did not disappoint on any level. All delicate items were wrapped with great care, but so were the soft furnishing too. Made the moving process almost pleasant!!

We selected these guys as they were the only local company in Leicester who were happy to come round to our flat to check the contents to provide a quote - at least without charging for the experience. Martin was professional and knowledgable and immediately gave us confidence in them. Very competitive quote given - £695 for the move to Windsor from Leicester which included a pick up at our storage unit as well. We paid £50 for boxes and packaging material from them as well.

There was a slight mix up on the day (whether we'd be starting at the flat or the storage unit) but no big deal. There was a team of four with three trucks to load our stuff. Our flat was emptied in a couple of hours and it took about another half hour at the storage unit. One of the team then went to another job and the three trucks followed us to Windsor.

We had barely arrived when they turned up. They cracked on with unloading right away and worked super hard throughout the afternoon. They were really, really helpful in getting some of the more awkward furniture into the house - big thanks due here. In all it took about three hours to unload.

Friendly at all times, the team really made the day as stress free as it could have posiibly been. Thanks again to everyone involved.

We used SimplyMoving to Move houses about 10miles away.  They were very professional, polite and timely.   Nothing got broke and they didn't have any issues with putting the correct boxes in the correct rooms.  We had 2 vans and 3 men loading.  Matresses were wrapped up by them to protect them from dirt and water and fragiles were handled with care.   Communication was great from start to finish with a useful website to estimate cubic feet needed to move.   Highly recommended.
