London Best Removals & Storage Ltd

After initial quote from anther company our moving date changed and London best removals and storage LTD were able to accommodate at short notice. On the day of the move they turned up on time and all 4 guys (including driver) worked very fast and hard. The price wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but worth every penny as the crew was one of the best I ever had performing a move for our family. No compliants at all, from begining to the end. I would definitely recommend this company and hopefully will use them again in the future.

A pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They have an awesome team around them and carry out all aspects of the move in a highly professional manner.

From first contact they were friendly and professional. The quote process was simple and I really felt that they cared about my possessions and getting things right. Having never moved with a removal company before there were things I hadn't thought of and when the boxes and packing material were dropped off I have to admit to having thought them a little crazy for delivery so much but they know their stuff. I needed all those boxes, packing tape and bubble wrap.

The team on the day arrived promptly and were really dedicated to doing a good job. You can really tell that they love what they do and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the London best removals and storage LTD team to anybody who is moving. They really take the stress out of the process.

Service cost: £900

Zain and his team were great. They came the day before the move and emptied our 2 bed flat in South London, dismantling a few bits as they went. When they couldn't get the sofa out, they removed the front door carefully and put it back perfectly. They estimated 3 hours to fill the van but did it in under 2. The next morning they came back to take our mattress and some other bits and then headed up on their long drive NE Scotland. They stayed in touch through the day and although they got there just an hour ahead of us, they didn't seem bothered and cracked on with unloading our stuff into our new house. They were great and put everything where we asked and put the stuff back together again. Nothing was lost or broken in transit and the price was competitive. Quite a stressful thing, moving 500 miles away, but I can thoroughly recommend these guys: they did a grand job!

We had a lot of stuff and in general the move went ok but the service wasn’t really good. I paid for 3 people for loading/unloading but instead 3 guys arrived for packing and one of them disappeared at some point leaving two to do the hardest job (though he returned couple of hours later after the call from his colleague). One of the guys started complaining there was too much to do, they expected 2-3 times less work, that another team already completed the move and going home, that we had too much stuff (c), etc.. well.. we paid extra £3 for every single box not included in the package. Yes, we ended up with more than twice more boxes then it was included in the packing package but it was all paid off. So it wasn’t really nice to hear all the complaints and moans (there were a lot of them!) how tired he was and what he did not expect. Well, it’s not professional, in the end of the day this is his job, i’m sorry. Later the same guy started telling stories about the tips he got from the previous jobs, as I understand, hinting that he expected some from us.. We gave the tips to the team and were planning to as there was a lot to do indeed, the guys finished late and we thought everything was packed well. But when we started unpacking we found quite a few broken and damaged items, I.e. Max Mara straw hat which was just stuffed into a box with other clothes, the hat was really expensive (£370, bought it last year) and cannot be used again.. boxes have been marked incorrectly, we found a lot of stuff from other rooms in the ‘kitchen’ boxes, we asked to use our 5 moving wardrobes, we were offered and accepted 2 more (10£ each) from the company to fit the expensive jackets and dresses, one of our moving wardrobes stayed unused but we found a lot of clothes on hangers stuffed into the boxes.. not professional. Some of the items were left in the apartment and we had to come back for them next day, some of the stuff like the baby bath I brought to the van myself .. Josh, the gentleman with whom we agreed the price and details of the move etc was very nice and helpful, he even didn’t charge us for the the previous packing booking cancelled in the very last moment, but the moving day service itself unfortunately was not very professional and something I could recommend or use again. I’m very sad about my hat.. there are half boxes unpacked and there is disappointment more than enough.

Used one of the removal quoting engines and the best price came back from London Best Removals & Storage Ltd. The move was for a 1 bed flat in Staines upon Thames to a property in Coventry.

We had estimated that a Luton body transit sized vehicle would be sufficient - just a king size bed and some odd bits of furniture plus a big pile of boxes - we had pre-packed everything ourselves before the guys arrived (cardboard box kits from Argos) and plastic crates.

Tuesday 7th August 2018 - Rana and his assistant arrived at 0830 and by 10am the van had been carefully loaded, the bed mattress wrapped in thick black cling film and everything tied down. In the end the van was maybe half full.

By 12 midday the guys were unloading the van in Coventry, everything perfect and no damage, by 1pm they were on their way home, excellent service and a job well done.

Reading some of the reviews here, be mindful that these guys are human just like you, take care of them, provide drinks etc, be decent. Moving house can be stressful, careful planning and packing before the team arrive takes the pain out of the process.

We asked that removal company to pack and move on same day , they suggest to pack one day before they move , we accept , it turn out to be a good decision after they packed the whole items into boxes, they were many. We received other less price quotes as well, but they were only offering 3 team members for second floor flat to second floor flat with stairs and one van only, London best removals provides 5 professionals with 2 vans on moving day , we moved within reasonable time and bed was ready for kid on time, we really appreciate their hard work in such a hot day, last week. Thumbs up guys , Will definitley recommend |.

These guys did a solid job. I would recommend them.

Strengths
- Were fast, efficient and effective.
- Good value for money
- Did what they said would do and were friendly
- A pleasant moving experience and no damage to items

Weaknesses
- They will definitely get you with extras. It is impossible unless you are pro to know how boxes you need, account for overages, etc. So before you agree to sign up, have them commit to a firm price with additional overage and say if it goes over, it is on them and not you. Next time I do a move I will do this.

To note, I would have given them 5 stars but I did feel a bit aggrieved about overages which to be fair, I should have managed more efficiently at onset.

- On some delicate pack items, they needed my oversight/intervention to ensure items was packaged appropriately. My advice is before a room is done you give clear instruction on sensitive items to ensure things are packed properly.
