  A fantastic move out

The 3 man team arrived on time, were so friendly and took great care with my furniture and belongings, and packed everything very efficiently into the truck. They were helpful, understanding and very tidy.
- Best bit for us was the humour and teamwork.

  House move Bradwell to Bradwell

Recently downsized to new property in Bradwell. Can’t fault the admin team of Astral and Abbey, they were well organised and Co-ordinated perfectly. The guys arrived on time and got stuck in loading the Lorry. Every square inch was utilised. Best bit for us was the humour and teamwork.

On arrival at the new house we had a 4 hour delay in getting keys. No problem, they unloaded the garden chairs and chilled out. Unloading was brilliant, everything to the right room. Only issue was the American fridge which would not fit through the door. Outcome the tools, doors off and in it went.

A stressful day was made so much easier by a fantastic team.
- Not a single item was damaged, lost, or broken, which speaks volumes about their professionalism and attention to detail.

  Brilliant removals

The whole experience of moving was nothing short of torture! However, Hamiltons were outstanding and made the actual move smooth, seamless and really stress free! Abby and Astral were amazing putting up with constant changes of date, listening to my woes and providing reassurance. Then Terry and Sam provided a wonderful service packing up all our things extremely carefully and moving them 152 miles to the other side of the country. They unpacked quickly and carefully and were incredibly supportive and helpful. A couple of days after the move a neighbour came over to see us and commented on how good Hamiltons were and how impressed she was with the guys. Hamiltons were excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again.
- Reasonably priced and completed with diligence

  Helpful, and supportive removal company

What a fantastic company; excellent communication from my initial contact with jay, to the lovely ladies that answered the phones with any query or question I had, to the chaps that came to pick up and deliver my furniture to storage I cannot thank them enough.

I was in such a bind moving big/heavy furniture due to my handyman (aka my dad) having an injury and phoned the team requesting help and it was completed promptly and swiftly.

Reasonably priced and completed with diligence; I couldn’t have asked for more.!

Good customer service and were able to do the move in 1 day as opposed to 2 suggested by other companies. Good team of 4 and would be happy to recommend as price was also competitive. Experienced in handling antiques.

Good price and efficient - some things could have been packed better

Overall easy to engage and good communication. However several things could have been packed better. A beautiful Swarovski ornament arrived broken in half, as well as a wooden chest that was my sons, stuff was placed into it making it heavier that it should have been, as a result the bottom was cracked. It should have been padded better.
- Jay and his team in the office were really helpful

Long distance move from North Norfolk to North Somerset

We found Jay to be extremely personable and comprehensive in his initial visit to our home to provide a quote, and we were comfortable with the cost of a pretty big move. We had to reschedule our moving date at least four times due to circumstances beyond our control and each time Jay and his team in the office were really helpful (not to mention sympathetic) in what was, to us, a pretty stressful situation. The team that packed us up in Norfolk were hard working and knew what they were doing, the fragile items were brilliantly packed and nothing was damaged. The team unpacking us in Somerset were likewise helpful, cheerful, timely and nothing was too much trouble. Hamiltons were not the cheapest of the firms who quoted for us, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, they were worth the extra. Many thanks to Jay and his team.

  Very poor - avoid.

We used Hamilton’s some years ago and they were fine. This time they were terrible. Utterly careless with our possessions and damaged a wardrobe and fridge freezer but worst of all very badly damaged our piano. After a long delay they bodged the repairs (even though I paid for insurance they tried to do a specialist repair on the cheap in house) and only after threatening to sue them did they compensate me. Their insurance company were decent but the service Hamilton’s provided was pitiful. They also tried to make me pay for three parking tickets they got entirely due to their incompetence which I refused. Third rate outfit that were a very poor - avoid.
- I was not able to claim on the insurance, I had been lead to believe that was fully paid for!

  Unsatisfactory UK to Singapore Move.

I had Hamiltons through Moving Partnerships do my removal from London to Singapore (note I used Berlin on the form as there was no international non EU area) in 2013/14. It started OK with good sales and reponse. It started to fall apart when they struggled to arrive on time, had not listened to the access issues and only made the timings because my partner and I packed about 50% of the load! The real struggle started on delivery. Several very nice small items were badly wrapped and then damaged on arrival. We followed the claim process with excellent help from the Singapore agent company and submitted a formal report showing damage, photos, packing etc. We received a prompt response from Hamiltons and then nothing. Weekly follow up ended with multiple emails and phone calls (more than 30 documented over 5 months) all leading to no response, buck passing between the insurer and Hamiltons. Overall after more wasted time they all washed their hands and did nothing. It was obvious to me that they were working on the basis of we were too far away to keep on fighting. I would not recommend them to anyone or if you do ensure you very carefully get very detailed written inventory…

Long-distance move from Colchester, Essex to Dedham, Essex

House move

Pleased with Hamilton’s storage but disappointed with removal as 3 pieces of furniture and an electrical item were damaged. We’ve moved several times before and never experienced this with other professional removal firms. Disappointing.

Opt third with hamiltons

I have to say we have used hamiltons three times now and the boys that turn up are great. They do load and stack items as good as possible and sometimes things do get slightly damaged. But overall I feel they doa good job . Thanks to all the team.

Long-distance move from Diss, Norfolk to Folkestone, Kent

Move from Norfolk to Kent

We have moved quite a few times in the last 30 years, and this was the best removal experience we have had. Office staff were quick to deal with any query and respond by phone or email. The removal guys, Mark and Kyle, gave a 1st class service. So helpful and efficient. A big thank you to all the team.

International move from , Occitanie to Waterlooville, Hampshire

Recent move from France to the UK

We moved from France back to the UK last April. After 2 pick-ups in France, our belongings went to storage for 10 months as we only just moved into our new house in the UK.

Yes we had a few damaged items (one in particular upset us but...) after so long in storage but it is being dealt with so hopefully a happy ending.

But I wanted to say a HUGE BIG THANK YOU to the crew.

All 4 guys in France ( 2 x 2 pickups ) were great, pleasant, polite, considerate, patient, helpful, efficient not to mention hard working as it was a rather big load.

All 4 guys on delivery in the UK were also amazing and all the furniture and boxes went to the rooms indicated. Put our big dresser back together (and it wasn't easy somehow..), the modules for my study so we didnt have to lift them ; the tv etc .... a bit of a meltdown when we were looking for something that was missing but everyone looked for it and it was found in the end.

All 4 made sure we were happy and every big furniture /wrapper undone before leaving ...It was a very long day ..

but they were a big help and we cannot fault them.

So we have had 8 of your crew for our removal and they have all been excellent...which reflects your company. So thank you.

Long-distance move from Chertsey, Surrey to Harleston, Norfolk

Two moves with Hamiltons one long distance the next short.

We used Hamiltons on the advice of our son who used them to move from London to Metfield. We moved from Chertsey in Surrey firstly to Harleston to a rented property and then a short distance within Harleston to our now home. Both moves were done very professionally with very friendly staff, also with no breakages, well done them.

We were really impressed by Hamiltonian who we used for our recent house move. They were polite and professional throughout and had a great team working on the job from first contact to moving the final box. The moving team were well resourced with manpower and nothing seemed too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Movers who went above and beyond

I can’t recommend Hamiltons more - they were reliable, friendly, and efficient. The teams turned up on time for both collection and delivery. They were kind, and reassured us at a stressful time. All our boxes arrived safely, nothing was broken. The movers really went above and beyond.

Complicated removals

I have used Hamiltons in the past and yet again, they are faultless. Everything is beautifully and carefully packed and the service from start to finish was 100% excellent. They could not have been more helpful when arranging the different pickups and delivery. They work long hours these guys and I am in awe of them.
