Fantastic service at a great price; the cheapest of all the quotes I had. Communication was really good and reassuring with the job confirmed before hand. David was in touch letting me know of slight changes to pickup times due to traffic - perfectly understandable when travelling 300 miles.
The job was handled very professionally with great care, and the van arrived with plenty of blankets and rope for securing items. Large and heavy pieces of furniture were moved very carefully, up and down stairs with some tight corners with no damage to any decorations. 
My mother was pleased - which is a rare occurrence. I will definitely use this service again.

We were recommended first removals by a friend , and we weren’t disappointed. What a brilliant team . So thoughtful and polite , and very well organised . They were a pleasure to have around . Very efficient , very careful with our belongings , and very thoughtful towards my husband who is not a well man .
We were impressed with their handling of all the garage and gardening stuff , being put in a separate van to house stuff , therefore keeping everything clean . Our challenge of many many garden planters and pots did not defeat them , and precious plants were unharmed . All furniture etc arrived intact and into the room they we’re designated . A great team led by David , and who I would highly recommend .

We were very impressed with the service provided by FirstMove. They were the only company to suggest doing the move over two days due to the long distance, packing everything on the first day and driving part-way to the new location, and unpacking the following day. Their quote was still the cheapest despite this. The work was done quickly but carefully, with particular attention made to wrapping the more fragile items.  I have now used Firstmove on three occassions and each time they have been professional, punctual, polite and above all careful ! I would not hesitate to recommend them, in fact I have to friends who have also been delighted with their service. Firstmove really took the stress out of our move. 
Our move date changed twice at short notice but this wasn't a problem for firstmove they understood.
David and his staff were polite and uniformed, they even took apart our beds and rebuilt them at our new house.

I decided to use First Move for my move to London as my parents and my sister have both used them in the past and recommended them to me. I can honestly say that First Move are a fantastic company and really did take the stress out of my move. Initially I was a bit worried about my furniture being damaged due to my previous removals company scratching quite a few pieces of furniture but David and Ben were really careful and wrapped all my furniture in blankets in the back of the van resulting in not a single scratch or mark to be seen on my furniture! I would really recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a removals firm for their move. Hopefully I will never be moving again but if I do I will 100% be calling them again.

Dave and Ben moved me in August, my third move in the last 18 months and my first experience using First move (Who were recommended by a friend of mine). They are by far the nicest and most professional removal company I have used and I would certainly recommend them to anybody who is moving home! They were more than happy to dismantle and put back up my wardrobe and two beds, which I really appreciated as the removals companies I have used in the past told me they didn't get involved with dismantling. Overall I was really happy with First move, they were absolutely terrific and made my move go incredibly smooth.

We booked David and his team for my parent's move from Manchester to Rugby and included 2 months storage (Aug/Sept). From the initial quotation to delivery of the goods, it was a great and painless experience. Communication was excellent and the packing of the items by the men and delivery was first class which allowed my parents to relax and concentrate on other aspects of the move. Boxes were delivered before the packing service which allowed my parents to pack their personal belongings. The price charged was very resonable considering there was 2 months storage also included. If you're looking at removal firms within Manchester, definetely give FirstMove a chance - we did and had no regrets! A big thumbs up from us!

Thank you once again for your excellent service. We are delighted to recommend your company as we were moved quietly and proffessionally without any damage to the property or our belongings. A big thank you for not letting my cats outl !!  We have used David serveral times now for moving single items and complete house moves and will continue to do so. Our last move was particularly difficult with a very narrow and steep stair case but each item was carried with care.

I can't fault FirstMove Removals, for their whole service. It was such a pain free, cheap and easy move, from the moment I enquired about using their services. There was no damage and it only took two hours to move contents of a two bedroom flat across town.

Added to that, the friendly and approachable nature of all the staff that I dealt with made them a privilege to work with.

I will certainly be using their services again, and I would recommend them to anyone.

FirstMove removals moved me from Altrincham to Liverpool last week and they did an excellent job. They arrived the day before moving day and safely packed all our possessions and took apart the beds and bulky wardrobes. On moving day four staff arrived and they were delightful and understanding all day. The money transfer was delayed and did not happen until nearly 4pm, resulting in a very late finish, which they were completely fine with. I wouldn't hestitate in recommending them. Many thanks to the Firstmove team from a very happy Johnson family.

We moved from Manchester to Liverpool very early in the morning, and the whole thing was done in just a few hours. They were on time and they were finished early, which gave us more time to settle and sort things out.
They were professional, friendly and efficient (even though there were two flights of stairs). We didn't have many heavy items, but they brought them all up like they were nothing, something I guess is perfectioned through experience!
This is the second time we've used them, and we've been very happy both times. Would definitely recommend!

I decided to go ahead with Firstmove removals after gathering quotes from 4 different companies due to the fact they were not only the most reasonable but also had the best reviews on this site and Google. I can honestly say I was not left disappointed as they did a truly outstanding job. I was rightfully nervous at first as I own a few expensive polished items of furniture which were bought to replace the damaged pieces of furniture from my last removals firm. David assured me they were in good hands and everything was wrapped and strapped up properly in the truck. Firstmove really did take the stress out of the move and put everything back in the exact rooms that I asked. I would 100% recommend these guys for anyone who is looking for a removals team who will do a proper job and leave you satisfied with the move. Fantastic job, thanks again.

FirstMove were recommended by a family friend and I can now see why. David and his team were brilliant. They put everything from my old house into virtually the same place at the new house, they also dismantled and rebuilt a couple of tricky wardrobes and wooden beds, their staff were smart, polite and fully uniformed . They delivered boxes etc when promised and even delivered all our outside pot plants to another location at the last minute. Thoroughly recommend these guys !!

We initially contacted First Move Removals from the local paper as we were obtaining quotes for our completion date. David's was the cheapest quote so we opted for him. We were not disappointed at all. David and his team were experienced and professional, they knew exactly what they were doing so we just left if all to them. The furniture was carefully removed and transported, any issues that arose were dealt with quickly, positively and efficiently (seatee didn't fit through the door, feet were removed, seatee fitted through the door and feet were put back on). All items were put in the correct places in the new house and the team were all polite and friendly. We would highly recommend to anyone needing a removal, I would not hesitate to use them again (although I will not be moving again so soon if I can help it!) what a brilliant team, thankyou.
