Fantastic Removals

I had to move some boxes from my previous address to their storage for a month and then to be delivered back to my new address. We agreed for the storage to be until the 17of September (Friday).

Only at the time of moving my boxes back to my new address, I were told that the redelivery services (which I was also told was included in the initial price I paid) are carried out only from Monday to Wednesday and are charged £204/two hours. Even to access my boxes personally, the cost would still be of £204. I found this extremely unprofessional, as we were not told this initially. However, they agreed to schedule the delivery for the 17th, which I appreciated.

We had to waste our day calling them, as their number always directs you to an automatic reply, which tells you that they’ll call you back. The customer service provided through WhatsApp chat replied after a minimum of an hour, hence when we had to meet the drivers who were redelivering our boxes, we could not contact anybody, as we were only given an Irish number to contact.

The redelivery was scheduled to be carried out between 9-10, while it was carried out between 13-14, forcing us to change our plans, as we had to stay home to wait for them, with no update regarding their location. After the service was completed, we were charged an additional £130, as we were told that the service took more time than expected (however the drivers told us they came late because of problems in the warehouse, hence not because of delivery location or time, which therefore we should not be charged anything for).

In the end after “bargaining” with fantastic removals for a few days, they said that the maximum amount they could refund us is £70. Which we agreed upon, out of lack of time and energy to further discuss this matter with this company.

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the service.

Don't let the cheap price and very responsive sales team trick you into thinking this is a worthwhile removals service.

I made it very clear when I booked the service that we were moving into a new flat, on the third floor of a building with no elevator. After showing up 2 hours late, the movers made a big scratch on the wall of the flat we were leaving, and then once at the new flat where they realised there was no lift, they initially refused to carry our items to our flat. After some negotiation they luckily agreed to finish the job.

A few days later I was contacted by the company saying that due to there not being a lift in the flat we would be charged an extra £200, despite us having made this very clear before they agreed to take our business. It took much back and forth with many representatives at the company to finally agree to our original price.

Given the inconvenience and stress caused by this experience, we will not be using this company again and would recommend you avoid doing so as well

Absolutely HORRENDOUS service! They have the worst customer service and do not care about people. They stored our furniture at their container site, we requested it to be delivered to our new place on 19 August, we paid days in advance for the service, received a confirmation that at 1pm they will be with us. At 1pm we started to contact them, we tried for hours to contact them but there was no response, eventually at 3pm we get a call to say our stuff will not be delivered, with no further explanation. We have a 15 month child and she had to sleep on the floor, we had nowhere to go. we tried to get hold of someone on Saturday and Sunday... So much for a 24/7 call centre. FINALLY on Monday at midday i got hold of someone who told me my stuff would be delivered on Tuesday at 1pm, I confirmed the time twice to check 1pm as i would have to arrange childcare because my husband was out of town and they sent a confirmation message to say between 1pm and 2pm. I called again at 3pm to confirm that hte movers will be with me at 1pm and they said yes. I tried to call all morning today to confirm the movers are on their way, finally at 11:45am i got through and I am informed that the movers will only be with me much later in the day, after having arranged childcare from 1pm to 3pm, i am told they will only arrive at around 4pm!!! SHAMBOLIC!!!

the reason they have good reviews is because they delete all the bad reviews. all my comments on instagram were deleted because they don't want to show everyone how appauling their service is. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: £945

My £200 tool kit and nearly new de-humidifier went missing. Both I'd handed personally to the removalists when arranging what was going on.
Throughout communications to resolve issues the customer service have done all they can to avoid and fob off any responsibility.
As others have found, they continue to state in every email they're only and introductory agency and the contract is with the "service provider". Yet the taking of the money, booking, van, equipment used, right down to the petrol for the van is paid and owned by Fantastic services.
At no stage did I receive a contract with said "service providers" nor have any name or contact details for any "service provider". The whole arrangement smacks of the old car sales trick of "I'm selling this on behalf of a friend".

Would have given no stars if it let me.
