Comfort Moves Ltd

Having not used a removal company before (to go from rented to our first house), I went online with a fine tooth comb and eventually shortlisted a few companies and choosing Comfort Moves.

I must admit that I harbour a degree of apprehension when it comes to employing this type of service (contract loopholes, no guarantee of good service, dishonest providers, extra hidden costs etc), and so I tried to cover all angles of research and questioning.

To cut a long story short, Mark and Greg who helped us out with a large Luton van, turned what could have been a stressful day into believe it or not, quite a fun day! (Albeit moving into our first house was pretty exciting as it was!)

Everything was carried out professionally and as promised - turned up on time, no hidden costs, and even the estimate on job completion was spot on.

These guys are efficient and master loaders in getting all our pre-packed belongings into their van, and graciously gave me a lift to the new place.

On the way, though I tried not to distract Mark from driving with chat, he replied with humorous and polite banter and I generally found out that it's through honest and sheer hard work, together with very competitive rates, that he has built up his business.

This is the kind of service that I would always go back to - if only I moved more frequently, and so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Comfort Moves.

We moved in January and so lastly, I must apologise to Mark for taking so long in getting this review up, but the fact is, I really wanted to write it for a fantastic job Comfort Moves did!

These guys know their stuff. It was a big move. 3 guys packing the first day. They arrived early and didn't stop.Next day was loading and driving up to Cambridgeshire and unloading 2 trucks. It took and exrta trip in the end, and they were bang on time again the next morning.Nothing damaged,lost, or gone astray, unbeatable price, and more over, they did a great job! Moving is never an easy thing,but Comfort Moves took all the stress out of a big event. A high praise to a professional team.

I recently moved flat within London from Hackney to Camden.

The services I required were moving only, as I did all the packing myself.

The added difficulty of the move was that I was moving to a flat on a 5th floor with limited lift access which is also what affected the majority of the quotes I received.

After looking at many reviews online and getting various quotes, I chose Comfort Moves, based on other reviews and the price I was quoted.


I couldn't have asked for a better service.
The company provided me with two men plus a luton van at a very competitive rate that came in significantly under most of the other quotes I had received.

The men were professional and extremely careful with my possessions and at the end of the move there was no damage whatsoever.

The moving van was properly equipped with blankets to wrap everything and the items were all placed in the van in a very orderly fashion.

I was charged £50 per hour for the work and this was completed in 3 hours. The highest quote I had received was for almost £1,000, so a total of £150 was a very nice surprise.

The men also took apart some large items and re-assembled them upon arrival.

To conclude, I would highly recommend Comfort Moves and I believe that the previous reviews speak for themselves.

We paid 538 GBP for 12 man hours of movers and packing supplies.

Our landlords in both flats were a bit trying, so we had to have a lot of flexibility with the moving crew. Comfort moves was prompt, responsive and extremely flexible, which made the move that much easier. Even on the day of, when we realized we'd need more help, they were able to accommodate with further crew.

Even more professional, they were willing to take cash, bank transfer or credit card for payment after submitting a professional invoice.

You may be able to find cheaper, but if you want great service, you can't find better.

I had not used a removal company before using comfort moves. My girlfriend and I used them twice in August and then September 2012. On both occasions they were prompt and efficient. They worked extremely hard and with great skill. They are professionals. Not a single item was damaged or broken. My girlfriend and I were both really impressed. I recommend this company to anyone who is moving. It really made a difference and took much of the stress out of the experience.

We were very pleased with our specific experience with Comfort Moves. We were moving house within London, but had a number of very delicate items to be packed and loaded. We found the movers both efficient and careful with our furniture and items. They also had the most reasonable quote for the job amongst other removal companies in London. The two gentleman who arrived for the job were very pleasant.We wouldn't hestitate to both use them again and recommend them to others. The only negative aspect was that we had been asked by the company to book their services for 9am (we had originally wanted later that morning), and the moving men only arrived at 10:30 after we called twice.  .

We had an excellent experience with Comfort Moves during our move from London to Edinburgh just before this Christmas. We have chosen Comfort Moves mainly for their no-nonsense and practical approach when laying out options for our move. Unlike other companies we have approached for the quote, they have very sensibly estimated that such a long distance move should not be attempted within one day. This in combination with a competitive quote made the choice very easy for us. This initial impression of professionalism was later on confirmed again and again. We would like to thank Agnes for her support and flexibility in organizing and planning everything before the move. And special thanks to the removals crew - they have been punctual, efficient and treated our possessions with great care. We especially appreciate that none of our numerous boxes got wet during unloading in Edinburgh despite pouring rain.

I can't recommend this company highly enough. The team were extremely professional taking great care to move fragile objects as well as general household items. Bags of flour and sugar we're even wrapped, the care and sensitivity of their work was incredible.
There was a lot to shift and we moved on August bank holiday weekend which meant he journey took double the amount of time. However the men worked well into the evening, re-assemble all our furniture for us and were generally just amazing.
Reliable and trustworthy, I would definitely use this company again.

I had two movers from Comfort Moves for packing, disassembly and moving a furnished 2-bed room apartment from London to a London storage. The packing and disassembly was done professionally. The company showed great flexibility and customer focus when the move could not be completed on the first day (due to storage opening limitations) and made the same movers available two days later to complete the move.
I would use their services again and recommend their service for other people with full moving service requirements.

Mark and his colleagues came to move us from London to Wiltshire and the end of a long week packing over the Christmas and New Year period. We were absolutely shattered but they effortlessly made the whole moving day a straightforward and dare is say a pleasant process. They knew exactly how to take the furniture apart with lightning speed, were prepared with all that they needed to do so, and arrived at our new home exactly on time to coincide with our arrival. Hearing horror stories from friends of movers who are unprepared, who underestimate the transport required or simply refuse to provide any form of service, I count us very lucky to have chosen Comfort Moves and would have no problem recommending them to anyone. We will use them for our next move most definitely. .

We had various hitches in our removal arrangements which meant changing the date and time on at least 4 different occasions.  Agnes was so understanding and unflustered by this and we really appreciated her calmness at a time which was becoming increasingly more stressful for us.  Mark and his team were great throughout the 2 days they spent packing and loading our belongings into a number of different vans.  We weren't able to gain access to our new home until late afternoon and that meant that quite a bit of the unloading was carried out in the dark.  None of this was a problem to the guys who just worked so very hard for 2 days.  They were good humoured, efficient, polite, cheery and a pleasure to be around.  They really made this time of upheaval as smooth as possible and we really appreciated all of them.  We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Comfort Moves to anyone.  They would definitely be our first choice of removers.

Extremely pleased with a high standard and quality service. Prices were also very competitive and compelling to me based on the quote I had received from dozen others. I was told one date and time when they will come and have a look, one gentleman came as per the appointed time and did an estimation for the good at home.

Over the call we discussed the charges and finalised with a good price quote for the entire move.

On the day of move gentlemen arrived and asked about all things that go.. they started action straight away and everything was packed and ready to go before lunch. Me and my wife were just standing there with our mouth opened. We had done our previous move and it was very tiring and cumbersome.

Not only this; but because I had children they ensured that they supported us and packed everything to the new place more carefully. They setup the essentials in the place I pointed to them without and they assembled and set it all up ready to use.

I was sad I couldn't make a coffee for them but I have promised to make it up to them later.. and I will.

Highly professional and reliable. Our full move over a distance of 100 miles was done before 5pm starting only at 8am.. wow!! It was so easy and they were very friendly.

Comfort Moves moved us from South West London to West Yorkshire. Despite me changing the removal date twice beforehand, Comfort Moves were able to move us on the date required. The service received was faultless; we required a pick up from two locations and delivery to a location with limited accessibility (narrow road on a steep slope in the rain). The team performed the service efficiently and treated our possessions carefully. The removal team were hard-working and cheerful throughout and Agnes in the office responded to all communication in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

This is the second time I have used comfort moves and would definitely recommend.
From start to finish the service was great. They came round for a quotation at a time that was convenient which was early morning before many companies working hours. Quote was competitive.
All questions were quickly responded to.
On the day they guys arrived on time, were very efficient. It was boiling hot the day we moved and they did an excellent job, no breakages or damage and they were able to complete the job in a much quicker time frame than others had suggested.

We found this company by looking for good reviews. They prepared an acceptable estimate, arrived when they said they would, loaded more than expected but still in the time allowed and wrapped everything carefully. They unloaded from a large truck to smaller vans as they realised that access in the UK was difficult. They delivered on time and kept us informed. Very polite and hard-working team. Strongly recommend based on our experience. Would certainly use them again.
