CJS Removals

Several people recommended George Bird to us, and it was slightly confusing as CJS Removals is apparently the same company.
In any case we were exceptionally pleased with the service provided. Everything was arranged at very short notice because of the timescale on our house purchase. Chloe in the office was absolutely charming and very accommodating and helpful.
Martin and Darren came to pack the day before the move. They were incredibly efficient, there was literally nothing for us to do!
On the day of the move there were 5 professional, quick, polite members of staff who carried everything down our 5 flights of stairs without even breaking a sweat. We were amazed at how they lifted full chests of drawers and other heavy items, they packed everything quickly and carefully and even dismantled a desk for us, before reassembling it at our new home.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. We felt very extravagant paying other people to pack our belongings but it was absolutely worth every penny. If you are hesitating about whether to have the packing service as well as the move, definitely do it. They were so quick and efficient and achieved in a few hours what would have taken us days. Everything seemed to happen incredibly quickly and we were absolutely delighted with the service provided. We were particularly impressed with the way our boxes were labelled - not just "kitchen" but detail such as "mugs, kettle" etc made unpacking and settling in much easier.
Highly highly recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to use CJS / George Bird again.

I use CJS as my company often need to move some delicate models to exhibitions. They have always been reliable and efficient, with a professional attitude when they come into the office environment to collect.  The items are very delicate and of high value and have always been well protected and arrived in tact both in the UK and Europe. As a corporate client Paul is our Relationship Manager and I would highly recommend him and his team for their professionalism and attention to detail.

We have moved from Ruislip to North Dorset and cannot find fault with any of the team. We had a massive amount of stuff to move (our three bedroom house was absolutely full) and the chaps were friendly, extremely professional and very efficient. The office staff were equally helpful. The removal crew worked very hard and never moaned once! They put everything in the right place and could not have been more helpful.
We would recommend this company every time. We were promised a 'Club Class' service and that is certainly what we received. We commend them.

Last week, after 27 years, I moved across the road from a 5 bedroomed house (many staircases), to a garden flat across the road. I chose CJS Removals to help me across the road as Paul Smith instilled instant confidence in me when he came to assess the move. There was a potential problem with the size of my sofa fitting through the front door of the flat, but Paul reassured me that his men would find a way round that problem, while a representative from one of the other companies suggested I sell the sofa! On moving day, the three men solved the sofa problem calmly and efficiently and I couldn't believe how hard they all worked while staying cheerful, encouraging and polite.
As the distance between the two properties was so small they had chosen not to load a van, but instead carried everything across the road. There were no breakages (apart from by myself), and by early afternoon everything was over the road.

I cannot recommend CJS removals enough. My mother, 87 was moving out of her house after 61 years ! Moving day was made easy for the whole family , the three men who came were friendly, kind and very efficient. We were all packed up and ready to go by 12 o'clock. We were all ready to move in by 2 when we went to collect the keys; we wanted mum to do this herself so took a while and at no time did the men make us feel hurried in fact they repeated many times' take your time'.
Unloading and unpacking went very smoothly too. Mum was settled in her new home by 5 when we poured the bubbly to celebrate.
I would definitely recommend CJS to friends and family in the area. Many thanks to all.

The move involved the packing of a specialist genealogical library, the dismantling of the cupboards, their fixing in the new location and unpacking of the books. This was all handled by CJS Removals. The team did an excellent job. There was no damage to cupboards or books; and the books were all placed back on the correct shelves.

The move across London was completed in one day. The team were courteous throughout. They took only one short break immediately before unpacking and left no mess.

CJS were brilliant moving my parents this week.
Right from the first contact with Paul, organising ever changing dates with Chloe (thanks so much for your patience), to the friendly efficient service on moving day - they were all helpful, professional and made a stressful occasion all together more bearable.

It was incredibly hot on the day but the guys kept going, working hard to get the job done with a smile and a joke.

Mum and Dad were so pleased and so am I - thank you all and I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone!

Great team of guys, really really helpful, polite and did a great job for us on what turned out to be one of the hottest days on record.

Recommended by others, CJS were professional, friendly, nothing was too much bother and the removals team on the day were excellent. Pretty much all our furniture is stone or wrought iron and extremely heavy, but there were no complaints or slowing down. They worked like trojans and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They earned every penny, and all with a smile and helpfulness throughout - from the receptionist/admin to the boss and his team. Thank you - this is how moving house should be.

I sometimes read reviews and think the company must have written them themselves, but on this occasion I must say everything positive about CJS is true. We were recommended by friends and we used Paul and his team last week (Dec 2016). They took the stress of moving completely away and did all our packing and then moved us in (re-assembled beds, furniture, a football goal, trampoline, a huge glass table, etc). Not one broken item. The crew were fantastic and very friendly. The service is first class. No mess, no hassle, totally professional and a pleasure to deal with. Very competitive prices too. I rarely fill these reviews out but I was compelled to do so because it is so deserved. I would recommend without hesitation.

As others, I was slightly concerned that reviews were so good that they must have been written by the company themselves. However, Paul and his team really are professionals and took the stress completely out of moving home.
We had a move only service (self packing) so the service started with Paul dropping off boxes/tape. On move day, the team turned up when they said they would. They organised themselves to make sure our things were taken out of our 4th floor flat in a secure way (one person permanently positioned in the foyer to look after our stuff). Our completion time was delayed by a couple of hours due to slow moving funds, but there wasn't any hassle from Paul or the team who patiently waited at our new address until we got keys.
Our things were delivered un-damaged, with the team being professional, courteous and friendly throughout the day. These guys were truly the highlight of our move.

It's a toss up as to who deserves more praise - me, for choosing so wisely, or CJS who were brilliant!

I had 2 moves over 2 days, 1 week apart. One from my flat, the other from my wife's house, then into our new home. From the planning to execution, CJS were helpful, patient and very accommodating. The moves themselves went without a single hitch, both teams again being efficient, helpful and clearly experts at what they do.

Can't recommend Paul and his CJS crew highly enough. They spent 2 days packing us up and then delivered our furniture to our new home on the third day. They were all professional, friendly and couldn't be more helpful - and we met 6 or 7 different members of the CJS team over the three days. All done 9 days before Christmas! They did all the packing - not one item broken! I was so impressed that nearly 2 months later, now the dust has settled (literally) and Christmas is over, I called to ask them to resend me the link to leave a review. Genuinely made a notoriously stressful experience far less so. Thank you all!

Great service by the guys from CJS Removals.. Took out all the stress from the day.. excellent attitude and maintained a great sense of humour throughout the whole day, despite the showers which kept halting their progress! They had no issues with the slight changes in plans, turned up on time both days and finished ahead of time on both days.. No issues with dis-assembly/assembly, and even came back to collect the empty boxes as promised. Would definitely use them again for the next move, and wouuld highly recommend the team if you are looking to move house!

Having used this company before for the previous move, it was logical to use them again, given how helpful they were in getting us out of the previous packing bind, which happened again this time. I cannot fault their patience and kindness in dealing with our problems. They were very easy to keep in touch with at the office, and most courteous. They turned up on time on both days and got straight down to business, with no time wasted.
I have no hesitation in recommending them most highly.

CJS were able to come at short notice to do a quick move across north London. They did all the packing including dismantling two beds and moved it efficiently into temporary storage. I'll be relying on them again to move into our new home where the real test will be if the beds can be put back together!

Dan, Matt, Scott and Tony were all lovely, respectful guys and Paul was kind enough to pay a quick courtesy visit on the prior weekend to check if we had the right quote.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at CJS who helped with my recent house move from Ruislip to Frinton-on-Sea. From your professionalism and advice when you visited to give me the original quote, to Chloe in the office being very calm and patient with my queries .. everyone was great.
