CJS Removals

We cannot praise CJS Removals enough for their reliable and professional service. We had a local move, (but had lots of stuff!), and they organised the whole load and unload impeccably. Their quote for an 18 tonne lorry and Luton van came in at £1500 (incl vat) and was half the price of a competitor. They loaded more than half the house the day before the move and stored it overnight; this enabled a swift and timely exit on the day of completion and a totally stress free experience! Our crew was headed by Paul and he had a team of five who were all faultless and made us feel more like family than clients. We would have no hesitation recommending them all to any move, near or far, large or small.

I used CJS removals on Monday 1st October 2012, and they were there right on time as promised at 08.30hrs. We departed the old house right on schedule and they arrived at the new house on time and got unloaded quickly and without any damage to possessions or to our beautiful newbuild house despite the pouring rain. Dustsheets and mats were provided on the day, and prior to the move plenty of boxes, bubble wrap, tape and paper were supplied. The removals men were all courteous and good humoured all day, despite it being a gruelling job with a large number of boxes and furniture being delivered to the top floor of the 3 storey house. We felt that they really earned their money on this one. I would recommend CJS to anybody looking for an efficient and caring removals company.  .

From the beginning, the whole team worked professionally, they were very helpful, considerate and supportive during the whole process. We want to thank the team who moved us last week. Adam and the others whose names I don't know were a real pleasure to have inour house. They got on with the job, were pleasant and respectful, and madeus feel no request was too much. We had a delay on the day we were meant tobegin to move in to our new place, and they were patient and supportive. They had to carry some items up 9 flights of stairs, which we had agreed,but they did so with grace. In all of our unpacking we have only found 2 small items that were damaged -nothing to worry about, and very grateful for the care that was taken of ourfragile objects. I can't thank you , and them enough. Clever marketing of a leaflet through the door whilst the for sale sign was up was the first we knew of CJS Removals.  We decided to invite them to quote along with three other firms.  The salesman came round at a convenient time and made notes as we went round every room and included garden and garage (one firm relied on me filling in an on-line form rather than visit; they were not considered).  When we received the quote shortly after, it was broken down into all the services they offered allowing us to choose how much we wanted to do ourselves.  We decided to take up the full package of CJS doing the packing, dismantling and re-assembling at our new home and their quote saved us hundreds of pounds against the other firms.  At this stage we didn't have a firm date for moving but this was no problem for CJS who penciled in a date as soon as we had a probale date. Soon the date was confirmed and CJS arranged to come the day before to pack most of the non-essentials leaving anything we said we needed.  They arrived at the agreed time and worked through most of the day packing everything agreed before taking the van to their secure storage over night.  On the day of the move the team again arrived on time and everything was safely packed by about 12:10. CJS met us at the new house and with great efficiency carefully moved every box into the house/garage/shed as we required and re-assembled all the bigger furniture in its correct position.  I was amazed at how quickly the van was empty and the house was full of boxes. Overall we were extremely happy with the Service we received from CJS from start to finish.  The removal team were on time, very polite and checked what we wanted whenever it was needed.  All the items were packed safely and securely and nothing was damaged or broken in the move with every reassembled item as good as prior to the move.  Apparently moving is suppossed to be stressful, with these professionals the move itself could not have been smoother and I would recommend CJS to anybody moving house.

CJS moved 'me' from Harrow to Slough on 30th May. The men came the day before to pack everything and I was impressed with the speed and efficiency with which this was undertaken.  All boxes were marked with contents and rooms where they were taken from.  All fragile items were carefully bubble wrapped.  They part loaded the removal lorry on the Thursday and came back the next morning to finish the packing  and loading.  There was a delay in collecting the keys but the lorry was waiting outside the house when we arrived.  The lorry was unloaded very speedily and boxes placed where we requested them.  The guys were all very courteous and helpful and very efficient.   I would have no hesitation in using CJS again and recommending them to my friends.

CJS moved us from Edgware to Huntingdon. Paul and his crew were brilliant.  They came the day before we moved and boxed up all of our things ready for the move the following day. All the boxes were packed with paper or bubble wrap to protect the contents and the boxes were marked up for the individual rooms. The crew worked extremely hard all day and put the boxes in the rooms for us.  I would certainly recommended them to anyone.  Great service at a great price thank you CJS.

They did the job I asked for, seemless, professional and with lots of care and attention.

Firstly, one of the director's of the company personally came to my home and did an estimation. He gave me lots of advice and options, he also explained the ins and outs of moving and what to expect.

I would highly recommend you ask for Bill, Ben and Paul, a great efficient and hard working team. They literally bent over backwards to make sure I moved home in peace.

This was the second time in two years that we have used this company and their professionalism, efficiency and friendly attitude make what can be a very stressful event very stress free. Wardrobes and beds dismantled and reassembled, no damage to them or anything else. It would have taken us a month to do this ourselves. This web site is asking for us to exceed a number of characters in order to be able to submit this review! We feel we have said all we can about the excellent service we received from CJS Removals. Therefore this additional rubbish is no reflection on CJS removals but simply filler so we can submit this excellent rating.

CJS removals are thoroughly professional and reliable removals company. The whole experience seemed daunting but they made life very easy for us. We did our own packing but they packed the large items such as mirrors, sofas and beds. I would have no hesitation in using CJS removals again and would definitely recommend them to others. Nothing was too much effort and the staff were very friendly (and patient as I couldn't find our tea/coffee or kettle). They were very careful not to bump or scrape anything at either end of the move and its a testament to the service and care they provide.

I cannot praise highly enough the service offered by CJS removals. My furniture and possessions had to go into storage for several weeks before I finally moved into my new home so I was a little worried that things might be damaged during this period. I need not have worried as every breakable item had been so well wrapped by the removal men (well worth paying for) that not one single item was damaged.
The removal men were very professional, unfailingly cheerful and quick both in the initial removal and then delivery to my new home.
I would thoroughly recommend this company if you want a professional removal service.

A very professional service throughout. Their quote was very reasonable - only slightly higher than firms with much less of a track record. Boxes were delivered 3 weeks before the move date. I did my own packing but CJS packed the bigger items on the day (beds, TV). They turned up on time, took great care in loading and unloading my possessions. The team were efficient but not rushed, they listened to my instructions regarding where to put each item and they were friendly and polite. Would recommend CJS without hesitation.

Moving house is known to be one of the top three stressful experiences in life. CJS made the physical part of our move from Stanmore to Northwood stress free. They carefully packed our possessions on the day before and on the following day moved us to our new home. On arrival they unloaded all our boxes, taking care to ensure they were put into the correct rooms. On both days they were prompt and arrived when they said they would. At all times they were conscientious, careful with our property and accommodating of any requests we made of them. They made the whole process very easy.

CJS did an excellent job on a small but complicated move in the West End. Parking was difficult and there were tight deadlines to meet on the day. They provided an expert packing service and plenty of staff. The foreman on the day did a great job and led the team very efficiently. They know London well and also collected goods that had been in storage, so everything arrived at the same time. Their office administration was also very efficient. I certainly recommend them.

I can't speak too highly of the way CJS conducted the packing up, loading, removals, storage and delivery when I recently moved from London to Lewes, from a house I had lived in for 23 years. I was also doing it alone, so there were endless things to think about and keep in mind. One of the things I realised quite soon that I would not have to worry about was the job that CJS was doing for me. They were utterly professional, helpful, flexible, intelligent, and simply also very nice with it.

My first foray into the world of removals was on a friend's recommendation, a well know name in removals. I was not impressed. The girl in the office was hazy about dates, didn't seem to realise that there is a legal requirement to leave on or before a certain date, couldn't tell me about how they would handle things. When I rang CJS it was completely different. They were efficient, informative and very helpful. They take pride in doing a good job - and how usual is that these days?

CJS is a family firm, which probably helps. Paul does most of the business and his father who started it still helps on the packing and storage. The other staff were thoughtful and effective. From the start when Paul gave me his estimate of how many packing cases, and how much it would cost me, and described how things would happen, it was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing, he always did what he said he would at the time he had said, and he and the office were always ready to help and always seemed to remember my situation and when and where I was moving to.

Not long before I had to move, things changed and I had to put my furniture in storage for an indefinite period. It was arranged with no fuss and no problems .

When it came to the time to move, there was a sensible arrangement that everything was packed up on day one, and then removed on day 2. This made it possible to manage things without undue pressure. The packing up was done very thoroughly - the arrangement was that they would pack my breakables, of which there was a huge amount as I had collected china. Having just finished unpacking, I can only say that there was no chance that anything got broken, things were beautifully wadded and protected - and gave the lie to my friend who said: "well you have to expect a few breakages". Nothing was broken, and even my piano was still in tune when I got it back.

I should say that the costs were also very reasonable.

I was especially pleased that they remembered that I was keeping my cat in one room which was therefore not to be entered. Although I had been dreading the removal of everything from my house, with disaster scenarios abounding, including my cat being let out and getting lost just as I was leaving town .. it just went very smoothly. I even managed to enjoy the process.

It was the same when they delivered everything when it was time to move into my new house. Nothing was placed without me being asked where it was to go, and the speed and good humour of the workers was also a great bonus at a time that can also be pretty overwhelming.

So I have no criticisms at all. On the contrary I was very pleased that a process that could have been very difficult at a time when I was feeling pretty vulnerable and anxious, was made so easy by CJS 's care, attention to detail, and sheer professionalism.

We were delighted with the highly professional service provided by CJS Removals, from the original house visit and quotation by Paul, the helpful & friendly office staff (Chloe & Sarah), through to the final box being unloded in our new home by Adam and his hard working team. This was a complex move with my daugther and family going to Croxley Green and my wife & I going to Redbourn. Despite this the two teams we had moving us were very friendly and made the whole event, which took 3 days, about as stress-free as it could be - nothing ended up in the wrong place. We'd highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We were impressed with CJS at everystage, from the initial visit to provide a quote through to post-removal. The suggested two day split was perfect for our circumstances, and was a working plan we would not have thought to ask for. The quote was extremely competitive. We appreciated also that you made it easy for us to delay and alter our moving plans when we lost a purchase. Contact with the office was always good. Packing materials were delivered efficiently, and similarly collected after the unpacking. The removal guys were efficient and speedy in their work, cheerful and polite. A small error was corrected without fuss, and was possibly the result of a change in the team from day one to day two. Our only criticism is that we would have preferred the same complete team throughout.  We have recommended you to friends, and they are already initially similarly impressed. thank you and well done!

We were recommended this company be a friend. From the time Paul came to give us a quote we have nothing but praise for them.
Paul gave us a quote which turned out to be £400 less than another one we had and the insurance was better as well.

the team allpcated to our move were excellent. They came the day before we moved out and packed most of pour goods. Then on the morning of the move they came and completed the loading by 1pm. They then delivered next day in Southampton spot on 10.00am as we were told and were finished by 1pm.

This was the first time I had used a removal company.  CJS were not the cheapest but as the cheaper alternative quoted without even wanting to visit to see what was involved, I wasn't going to risk that.  I did get one other quote from another company that also visited, which was very similar to CJS so I was happy it was a fair price.

Adam from CJS did a very thorough inspection and gave lots of useful advice about preparing for the move and explained what would be required.  Once we confirmed the move, boxes were delivered the next day so that we could start packing.

I couldn't believe the number of boxes we filled, plus all the furniture, appliances, suitcases etc so it was good to know that CJS knew what to expect and would be sending a large enough lorry.

I can't fault the removal team on the day.  They didn't just load up what we had packed but carefully wrapped delicate furniture and even took the sofas apart (and put them back together thankfully as I wouldn't have known how).  It took about 3 hours to pack and about the same to unpack, with a 2 hour journey in between so a long day for all of us.  The four of them remained cheerful and enthusiastic throughout, and their approach and attitude took much of the stress and pressure out of the day.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CJS or to use them again.
