Faultless.

Having struggled for weeks to find a company that was willing to move my stone table and other items, and receiving quotes of around £1000 plus various 'waiver' fees (Britannia Bradshaw, P.Fahey - total rip off merchants!!) AMR quoted for around 1/3rd of this, turned up a few days later, and did the job in a few hours, including dismantling and reassembling a large bed, cot, wardrobe and baby-changing unit. I can't recommend them highly enough.

High Wycombe to Didsbury. Great Service.

My wife and I would like to say thank you to Alan and his team for the service. They arrive promptly at 9am and the van was fully loaded by 11:30am for a 2 beds house and an office.
We also expect the van to arrive late in the afternoon but they have also made good times on the road and the whole move was done by 3;30pm.
The guys were very friendly and professional. We would deifinitely get in touch with Alan again for our next move.

Brilliant - would definitely use them again.

We've used AMS removals three times now and each time they have been fantastic. From moving house between London and Manchester to a local garage clearance we have been impressed by their faultless service each time. Alan and his team are efficient, punctual, accommodating, reliable, cheerful and very reasonably priced. They could not have been more helpful, no problem is insurmountable and everything was moved quickly and safely which made moving a surprisingly stress-free experience!

London to Manchester.

I am sure (hence not giving a low rating) that a move that is well prepared will go well. But our move resulted in a few issues for us.

I hope this feedback will be taken as the constructive critique I intend.

It was explained to me that the company visits a move to work out logistics and set the price of the job, but this wasn't carried out due to us being in London (I suggest this should be carried out in future, maybe just a video from where the van will park, the lift, and then the home and it's contents).
So the move was planned over the a few phone calls and I was asked to produce a list and send by email, which I did. (I was advised when they arrived that they do have a form to fill on the website, but I wasn't made aware of this beforehand). We decided on the larger van which I was more than happy to pay for, for peace of mind that everything would go in one day as we needed to be out.

The result was that we had the few issues:
- The linen cupboard was missed, we had bagged the linen up ready to go and left in the cupboard (it was behind the front door, but we expected the apartment to be fully checked, I reenforced this message on the day that everything had to be removed). I went back a week later on the train and brought them back stacked up on our double pram, which was a journey and a half.
- I had listed the 4 bikes that were in the car park, but due to all the issues in the morning I forgot to remind the guys that these were on the list so these were missed.
- As it took longer for the guys to move it all out, they couldn't get back to Manchester in time to meet the rest of the team to offload the same day (Saturday), the option they gave was to delay the offload until Monday (they don't work Sundays, which is understandable), this was frustrating as we had people planned to help unpack on the Sunday, but thankfully we had family that we could stay with family. I took the Monday morning off. I was also charged and extra £240 for overtime, which I was asked to pay with the other 50% on the Sunday before they unloaded on the Monday (I had already paid 50% of the original price up front), which I was told was normal practice.

I found myself apaologising throughout the move, could I have gone into more detial? Yes (I had thought about suggesting a video, I wish I had).
Did I presume after ordering the big van and my list of all large items and this comment: "Boxes of clothing and personal items for 2 adults and 3 children" and the fact we lived in a 2 bedroom flat that they would have a good idea of how much we had? Yes, but they said we had an unusual amount (I really don't think we do, how much can you fit in a 2 bed flat?).
The van was able to park just 20 foot away from the front doors of the main door, but they had two vans (rather than the one large one, they said it was actually more storage area which didn't make any difference to me) and explained it would've been much better to be able to park the two there.
Did I presume that with our flat number being 124 that it was on an upper floor (11, but there are two fast lifts and thankfully it was quiet as it usually is on a Saturday)? Yes, the guys presumed it was on the 1st floor for some reason.
I didn't recieve any apology throughout or after, but I put it down to it just being business.

I recently used AMS to move me back from Primrose Hill, North London. I initially contacted several London companies who came back with very expensive quotations. So I looked at Manchester Removal companies and AMS provided a very competitive quotation, they also provided a packing service within the cost. Great experience hassle-free.

I used the services of AMS to move from The Netherlands to Manchester. I will summarize here my experience with them, which was a pleasant one. I will definitely recommend them to friends and will use their services in the future. Communication: went smooth and quick, even emails are enough to get you all details you want and its just very quick as well. Prices: very reasonable prices. Time: they were precise and punctual. Staff: were so decent and friendly, they carefully dismantled, collected, wrapped, moved all our furniture and stuff in and out. Definitely you won't regret choosing them for your moving.

House Removal.

Ben and Rob moved us recently and they were superb ! Our moving date kept changing dues to solicitors and paperwork etc, but AMS were very patient and worked with us every step of the way. On the day they were very professional and efficient and at the new house everything was put into the correct place in the correct rooms AND if needed rebuilt. They were also very reasonably priced.

Having used AMS to move up from the South East to Manchester last summer we had no hesitation in using them again this summer to move to Cheshire. In both moves, the staff have been professional. friendly and efficient, turning up when they said and taking care without belongings. Excellent movers with attention to detail.

Alan and his team moved us from Didsbury to Chorlton in August 2014 and were excellent. You hear so many bad move stories but these guys put honesty first and you can trust them. They give an accurate quote with no hidden nasties and then turn up to pack everything with care as if it was their own.
Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

2nd move with them in 3 weeks they were that good!

We moved our house in storage from Manchester to Southport. We were that impressed 3 weeks later we used them again to move our rented flat to Southort too. Calm and efficient. No damages, no bad language and no builders bums. I heartlily recommend Dave and Rob to anyone wanting a stress free, do not raise a finger , move.

Great service - move was to cumbria.

I used AMS to move home recently, the driver and assistant were very pleasent and real honest blokes, the move was smooth and price was reasonable considering distance.. from manchester to ravenglass in cumbria.  AMS were early to arrive beating myself to my new house. and were not disgruntled by having to wait for me. very professional service would reccomend to anyone in manc.
p.s. my cost of move is fake as I feel that fianance is a private subject .

Alan & Andy were really hard working and made the whole experience quite simple and easy. The move was from a flat, so they had to contend with multiple doors, lifts and stairways, but they got through everything in super fast time.

Great reliable service.

Having experienced some dodgy movers in the past I was a bit worried about damage. But AMS were great - the guys arrived promptly (even a little early), helpfully took bulky furniture apart, packed everything carefully in the back on the van, and nothing was too much trouble when it came to placing things at the other end. Will definitely use them again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! .

Furniture removal on hottest day of the year.

This company were excellent.  Alan came to view the stuff to be moved beforehand and gave advice.  The removal took place on one of the hottest days of the year, so it was up and down stairs in two houses with some very complex manoeuvres to get large antique furniture into my new home. couldn't fault them at all.  They were professional, thoughtful and hard-working.  No damage at all.  Reasonable price. highly recommended.

Ams removals,can't recommend them enough!
after being let down by another removals firm with less than a fortnight to go I had ams removals recommended to me.spoke to alan on the phone and immediately liked the cut of his jib,friendly straight forward and professional he immediately put my mind at ease.on the day the lads were superb,worked they're socks off(i still don't know how they got that setee from the hall into the living room way too tight).on what as we all know can be a very stressfull day alan made it seem no problem.once again thanks lads.

Company was friendly, efficient and couldn't have been better. Honest and reliable. our move went smoothly and a result we were able to move house and make our daughters nativity. The quote was realistic and they were prompt, on task and helpful in every respect.
we moved a three floored house into a three bedded house. They put furniture where it needed to go, rebuilt furniture and did this all with humour and a smile. They were realistic about time to do things and welcomed that we wanted to assist.
