AMS Removals

We recently used AMS removals for a house move in Manchester.
Beforehand they were very good at staying in contact and making sure they had all the details - and were very flexible even when our moving date changed a couple of times. It was very quick and easy to get a quote and the price was excellent - far more reasonable than other quotes we had.
On the day the service was brilliant; they were on time and everything was very carefully packed to ensure that there were no breakages, on arrival to the new property they didn't leave until all furniture was in the correct place.
Really great service  - would highly recommend.

I found AMS van hire online after reading a number of excellant reviews, I was extremely impressed to find that AMS lived up to their reviews. Alan was extremely helpful throughout the whole experience. AMS were flexible with my dates and times and as it was more convenient for me I could split the move over two days. All of my goods were expertly packed, nothing was damaged and everything was placed exactly where I wanted it to be left in the new flat.  I was moving from a shared flat and AMS were very flexible regarding what needed to be packed and what should be left in the flat as it wasn't mine. I also ended up having cleaners in cleaning the old flat while they were packing up and they were very flexible and able to work round them. I would definitely recommend Alan and the team at AMS for moving, compared to other companies I looked at I found them to not only be cheaper but also more personable and flexible.  AMS made what could have been a very stressful day relatively straight forward and enjoyable. .

How many times in this day and age are we disappointed when a company falls short of our expectations?  Yet somehow we accept it as the norm.  Be reassured, this will not happen if you decide to book Alan and his team! After reading the many positive reviews of this young company, I was hoping for a good service, but what they delivered was above and beyond 10 fold!
My move took place over 2 days. Every single member of the team I met was friendly, hardworking, courteous and accommodating.  The guys never stopped once, not even to eat the bacon butties which I had bought them; they rarely wanted a hot drink, if anything, tended to be happy with water. Relocating alone and being inexperienced at this moving business, I felt the move wasn't straight forward - I hadn't yet found a house, and therefore most of my possessions were going into storage plus several items were being packed separately for use in my temporary accommodation. In addition, on the day of the removal, I was also going away for the weekend - so basically packing for 3 different locations! Yet none of this detail phased Alan and his team: every aspect of my move went perfectly!
On the morning of the move, I hadn't completed all my packing and was beginning to feel anxious and a bit out of control; however, after speaking with Alan, he reassured me that it was all going well and that the team would work around me. Instead of putting pressure on me to get finished, Alan was supportive and reassuring - just the metaphorical 'arm round the shoulder' I needed right then.
The storage location I had chosen was over 2 hour’s drive away, a hilltop farm in the countryside of Co Durham - both Alan and his team, and me and my two boys, arrived within 10 minutes of each other - brilliant timing! The guys proceeded to unload the 2 vans and expertly pack my house contents into a 8 x 20' container (including, very carefully, my upright piano); their packing skills here meant we were able to get everything into just the one container, therefore saving me the cost of an additional one.  Earlier in Stockport, they had also carefully loaded my many outside plants/pots, and so proceeded to offload and place them close to the container.  In addition, I had marked several items for easy access, and like magic, all 5 items were placed exactly where I had wanted them to be - right at the front of the container!
Furthermore, once Alan had learnt that I had separate items I needed whilst I was in temporary accommodation, and that I had intended to ferry them later in my small car, he offered to do the extra 6 mile trip free of charge.  I was so chuffed with this gesture; it really took the stress out of everything I was trying to achieve. I cannot recommend Alan and his team highly enough – an absolute quality service!!        .

Moving home after a divorce can be very traumatic but Alan and his staff were so helpful, capable and patient that it all became a rather enjoyable experience.I was moving stuff from two locations in Manchester and I didn't know for some months where I would end up. Alan's staff whisked my worldly belongings into storage for a very reasonable fee and were ready to deliver at fairly short notice when I confirmed that Newcastle under Lyne would be the final destination. The van arrived at 9.30am after a very early start for them from Manchester. The two men were cheerful and considerate, putting the boxes etc where I requested. I was most impressed that having originally dismantled some desks for me as I moved out, they put them back together at delivery, saving me a very difficult job. I can't recommend AMS highly enough. Friendly, organised and reasonably priced.

I left it a bit last min, as trying to do the removal ourselves. Then I realised I was being silly, especially with a bad back, so contacted AMS removals & they fitted us in on the Sunday.
Felt in good hands from the start, as very professional over the phone. The two men arrived with a van that looked in good condition (some companies vans look like they're on their last legs), and they worked really hard loading and unloading our possessions, making sure everything was stacked safely & securely. Can't thank them enough.

I chose this company because of the good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I'm really pleased with AMS Removals. Alan and his colleague did an excellent job. All email contact beforehand was informative and clear so I had every confidence in them from the start and any questions I had were clearly answered. They arrived bang on time and were really careful, polite and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these chaps - they did a wonderful job!

From start to finish our experience with Alan and AMS removals was brilliant and entirely stress-free.  They were quick to respond to our request for a quote, and very prompt in all communications.  We used their packing service, and on the day of the move they were very organised and got everything sorted very quickly & efficiently.  Everything was packed well, so there were no damages.  Our move was also slightly more complicated as we also required collection of items from a storage unit, but this was no problem for the guys at AMS who made quick work of the additional pick-up.  All-in-all, I can't recommend AMS enough - they were been professional, efficient, careful and prompt throughout the process.  Thanks guys!

AMS helped us move from our 2 bed flat in Didsbury to Heaton Chapel. Communication from Alan right from enquiring about a quote up until moving day was excellent. The guys were polite, friendly and professional, and they got the job done in 2 hours when we were expecting it to take about 3! They were very hardworking, efficient and organised - quite different to other removal companies we have used in the past..they actually asked us which rooms we wanted various boxes and were happy to carry things wherever we asked - not something we'd experienced before! Extremely reasonable price for the professionalism of their service. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others - I actually got in touch with them following a recommendation from a friend!

AMS removals carried out a small flat move for my daughter in altrincham cheshire.They were very profesional,friendly and got the job done with the minimum of fuss. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to employ a removal company.I haven't got anything else to say about a small removal job and I am just filling in the text only to ensure that my review is accepted by this review site that insists that the text has to be at least 250 characters of text.

Many thanks’ for your fab service, especially dropping of the remaining stuff! Excellent servcie courteous, prompt and polite at a very reasobale price highly reccommended.  Arrived on time loaded in 2 hours and arrived promptly and unloaded all stuff inc. assembled bed.

The buyers for our property were around at the house this weekend and the conversation of removals came about, they had obtained rip-off quotes from the likes of Pickford’s and Osborne’s thank god they spoke to me in time and have not committed to anyone as yet. I will be forwarding your number on to them and they will definitely contact yourself.

As we were moving mid-week, I couldn't call in the favours oweed for all the friends I have helped move in recent years as they were at work! So had to get a professional. Spoke to Alan originally to get a quote and once booked, 2 of his guys came along to help me move from one flat to a new place. Really polite, worked at a good pace.
 
Booked 2 hours and hoped to get all done in that time, but I underestimated the number of boxes and furniture - no worries, they were able to stay an extra hour and I paid them cash at the end. I found cheaper (one bloke said he'd do the whole lot, as long as it took, for £100) but other companies may not be insured, plus everything above board with AMS. They are a proper business, on Companies House & VAT registered too. So yes, you could get a cash-in-hand man with van, but no security against damage or getting ripped off.
 
Overall very good service and I would certainly reccomend and use again in future.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this firm.  Alan and Andy made a fantastic team and nothing was too much trouble for them.  They worked solidly all day and made every effort to make a stressful day easy. AMS were very friendly and professional. From making the initial contact through to placing the last flower pot on my patio at the end of the day, they proved to be worth every penny of their very reasonable bill. Thanks a million boys. There's not many like you around. .
