Couldn't recommend Removers and Storers enough.
From the guys that packed for us (pleasant ,hardworking )
to the guys that dismantled and moved us (again hardworking,pleasant).
we had to change our moving date at the last minute,from a Tuesday to a Sunday,on speaking to jake none of this was a problem.Nothing got broken or damaged,dust sheets were laid on any carpeted areas.
Professional from start to finish also the price was extremly good for packing dismantling reassembling and off loading at the new address,all was done with a" no problem "attitude.

The move was faultless, I usually move myself but as my change of job forced a relocation from Essex to Glasgow meant I was sceptical of employing a company but dreaded to even think of moving myself. The surveyor was brilliant and very reassuring, having had online quotes and a couple of guys that came round in banger's of vans I felt very comfortable with them.
The price initially put me off but I didn't really know what to expect, a gentleman named Brad in the office was on hand and happy to explain the price and justify the costings which made perfect sense.
Come the move day having had a few phone calls from the office regarding dates and times, the guys arrived 5 minutes early. The loading was smooth, quick and were done before I knew it. Upon a quick clean of the house before putting my vacuum on the back of the lorry, the guys headed off.
Upon arriving in Scotland we stayed in a hotel as the lorry wasn't able to load, drive and unload in 1 day. Come the morning we drove to the house and the men were ready and waiting much to my surprise that I was at the house before 8am! The men were very accommodating and the same service resumed from the loading - quick, smooth and took great care around the house. Upon my wife providing them with the lunch the guys were reluctantly looking forward to their long drive home they smiled from start to finish and I couldn't thank them enough for getting me to Scotland for my new chapter.
Recommended them to everyone!

We took the full packing, dismantling/re-assembling and moving service.

The packing team arrived on time the day before the move and packed everything very well and efficiently, taking some stress of the move away from us.

The moving team arrived the next day, again on time had the full contents of our 4 bedroom house loaded on to the lorry in approx. 3hrs - this included dismantling furniture/wardrobes etc.

We had a late completion on the move day, so unfortunately the moving team could not start unloading the lorry till around 16:30 - 17:00 - this was not a problem to them. Everything was unloaded to the correct rooms, all furniture re-assembled and not a single item damaged. No shortcuts were taken despite the late start.

We found the end to end service was excellent from beginning to end; the survey, the office staff , the packing and moving teams were all pleasant and helpful throughout.

This firm moved me from Rayleigh to Canvey in November 2016. Was awful move, stressful and rushed. The firm were told both my husband were disabled pensioners, it was the most stressful day ever. We had packed 98per cent of the stuff when they arrived, after having to go out and purchase bubble wrap, because the stuff they provided was far too narrow, so had to use double the amount. We had labeled all the boxes, but they were all put halter skelter in all different places, what was put into the garage was stacked so high we could not reach. And still, have loads to sort out, they constantly told us to be quick. Two of them had an argument between themselves. They have left garden statues behind! At the end of it all, we found out one of them had split from his partner and was using the van as his living quarters, I was appalled. He also entertained and "Slept" with his new girlfriend who also works for the firm the van. Avoid this company.

Three men arrived on time with cheerful spirits. Then we showed them what needed to go as we were leaving quite a few things behind as requested. They remembered very well. They are hardworking, efficient and helpful. Their sense of humour helped to take the stress away. One of the chaps helped dismantle and then assemble my boy's bed, which is a very challenging job. I am very grateful as it would take me half a day to do it .There were a couple of moments I couldn't make up my mind, they went out their way to give some advice. With their professional experience, they guided us to make the move smoothly. I got the feeling of caring and trust worthy from them. I hope they will keep up with their good service. I would certainly recommend them.

I was very satisfied with the level of service. The whole team were professional from the survey and quote right through to the actual move itself. On move day Brad and his team were hardworking, punctual and polite and nothing was too much trouble. My only minor complaint would be with the packing service. Some items were not bubble wrapped when they should have been and were squeezed into boxes although luckily nothing was damaged. Also, some boxes were only half full so could have been packed more efficiently.

I debated between a 2 star and 3 star review but as we did get our belongings in the end I decided to go with 3 stars. Communication with Removers & Storers was shockingly bad, however. I phoned and e-mailed several times to clarify info from our quote - getting answers seemed to take forever. Then I phoned up to confirm our booking - was told it was all set. When the movers didn't show up at the appointed time, I waited another hour in case they were lost/late, then phoned up only to find that some error in the booking system meant we weren't on the schedule at all! I will give R&S credit that they did manage to get someone out to us that day to collect our things, but again..communication was very poor. We were given several different time windows and when each one went without an update, I had to phone up to find out what was going on. After our things were collected, we were told (several times) that while we wouldn't be given much warning for when our belongings would arrive (using a part-move service), it would be within 3 weeks. At the beginning of the 3rd week (again - no update from them!) I phoned up to find out what was going on, and was told that maybe our things would arrive a week and a half later. I questioned the promised 3 week timeframe and was told that "no one should promise that as it isn't guaranteed" (well, fine, but then say that, rather than "it will definitely be sometime within 3 weeks, we just don't know when", which multiple different people told me). In the end we got our belongings 41 days after they were collected. I contacted R&S to ask about any sort of refund or compensation for their shocking communication and lack of keeping to their timetable..I was not surprised to get no response.

The quote was very competitive, but the deciding factor for me as a non car owner was that I was actually allowed too travelled with the removers in the van to store my goods in Northern Ireland and then they returned me back to my Essex address. The ferry crossings where arranged and booked in advance by the company. In hind sight I should have booked the packing service because it turned out to be good value, it's worth asking, I wish I had.
On the day of removal I helped a little but mostly watched, I was very impressed with the care taken by AJ AND TONY moving our stuff from the second floor flat and how it was packed in the van. In northern Ireland we had most of our stuff placed in the garage of the property we are about to complete on, and some stuff put into the house. AJ AND TONY said they would place furniture and boxed stuff in any room I wanted it.
Overall I was very impressed with the company who offered a service others wouldn't, and with two very good and hard workers in AJ and Tony. I look forward to completing on my property next week and to start unpacking our boxes. 10 outta 10 service. Merry Christmas.
