Removers and Storers Ltd

I don't normally write reviews but I was very disappointed with Removers and Storers Ltd services. The communication prior to a move was great, but it all started to be very doubting the day before the move when I received a call asking questions which I answered before. On the day of my move, instead of 4 guys only 2 arrived and due to a wrong van they decided to stop the work (once the van was fully loaded) so we had to wait half a day for an additional support. What is more, I just re-furbed a property I was moving into (everything brand new - from carpets to a bathroom and painted walls) and by the time they finished I found a brand new property ruined (dirty carpets, scratched walls, damaged furniture they helped me to move - I'm not going into details as there has been lots of damage done to different goods as well) and when I saw what they have done and how stressful the move they made for me, I felt like crying as this is something I didn't expect and didn't pay for. All what I have been told by their 'professional' staff was these things happen. I was speechless with their response as clearly this is not what they claim on the website and when the surveyor came to see the property. Also since I invested so much into the new place I couldn't believe the damage done to it just by a what I would have thought a simple move which they claim to make stress free for their customers. I must say I moved before but it has never been as stressful as it was with this company as on the day I had to be on the call to their logistic manager trying to sort out and complete the move on the day and then cleaning up the place after the move. Wil never use them again and will make sure my friends and family will avoid them as and when possible. I would rather use other companies then go through what I had to deal with during the move with Removers and Stores Ltd.

We had a terrible experience with this company during our move from Welwyn Garden City to Thundridge. The removers were rude and unhelpful, only one actually spoke any English. They sent a lorry that was too small, even though they had carried out a survey, so we ended up having to take 5 car loads ourselves. They left the bedroom furniture in the garden as they said it wouldn't fit upstairs yet two rather small females managed it the following day. An old mattress got dumped in my house, they ripped a leather chair, damaged a bed and scratched a parquet flooring, walls were damaged, boxes were left in completely wrong rooms, clothes were taken off of hanging rails and thrown on the floor, a confidential file was left in the house with their staff wages details in.

I accept that things sometimes don't go to plan but their MD didn't even have the professional courtesy to respond to any of my numerous communications following this, let alone put it right.

On a positive note their office staff are fantastic, very helpful, polite and professional.

We found this company online and although not the cheapest quote we had they were definitely the most professional with advice and help with what we needed. On the day the team arrived early and were quick to load. They put sheets down to protect carpet and were a friendly bunch of guys.                      
When organising the move each phone call we made was dealt with quickly and packing boxes and materials arrived when stated and were put into the room of our choice. .

Service cost: £700

From the initial time of booking to the completion of the removal the whole process was excellant. I was arranging this move for a family member who is poorly and could not be sure of the definate move date, Jake was very kind and understanding, he provided  me a verbal quote after we discussed the items to be moved, which he  followed up with an E Mail.  Once the final date of 7th Feb at 8.30am was agreed, he followed this up with a final confirmation E Mail. They arrived on site at 8am and knocked to ask if it ok for them to make an early start. They assesed the items to be moved and gave me an estimated time as to when they would be ready to deliver to the new property.  That estimate was spot on.  I then followed the van to the new property and they moved all of the items in and placed them where I directed them.
 I was alone with the guys in both properties and they were nothing but curtious, friendly, professional and very hard working. Safety being  a very important factor to a lady on her own in this day and age. I was totally satisfied with the whole process from the cost, ease of booking and stress a free move by a friendly and professional company.  Thank You.

I used this firm for my move from Essex to Berkshire and having had a survey to assess what had to be collected, the management sent a truck which was too small to take all my cargo. Having made many calls to the management, to see what options were available to get everything, he asked his team to offload the van if I wasn't happy as he claimed he never got estimates wrong. His approach was more money driven with little focus on the customer or any consideration for alternatives. I had to seek alternative arrangements to move my left over boxes at my own expense having fully paid this company for the entire trip. Sad thing is the delivery team did their best to help and get as much as they could contrary to the manager who was rude, arrogant and very money driven. I certainly would not recommend this company to anyone for any removals. Beware!!
