MoveStore Removals and Storage

We recently used MoveStore to move house and can't recommend them enough. The guys arrived promptly to pack up our things the day before and were efficient and friendly. They then packed the vans in super fast time the next day and despite some issues in getting the keys to our new house, they worked non stop to get us in that day.

Great service from start to finish, and great value (although not the cheapest quote we had, we're so glad we went with them).

MoveStore provided an excellent service to move our belongings from our storage locker to our new property. They completed this move in in its entirety in around 2 hours. They went above and beyond with the courtesy to let us know they were slightly behind schedule to arrive at the storage facility due to traffic and to even take their shoes off when entering the property to place furniture items. James and Cameron could not have been more polite and helpful during the process.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Flat Service cost: £345

Booked a local move for a one-bedroom within Newington, Edinburgh with these guys and everything was great. Did a quick video call beforehand to take a look at what we were moving, booked us in nice and quickly and were very accomodating to the fact that we couldn't 100% confirm the date till quite late on.

Turned up on time on the day and were very friendly and professional. Got the move done nice and quickly with minumum disruption and, basically, couldn't recommend them more.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Flat Service cost: £375

Never used a removals company before and I am so happy we did this time. We opted for a full packing service as I am heavily pregnant. We were so stressed about getting unpacked and the house ready before our new born came and in a matter of days I already feel at home and ready for our next chapter.

Special thanks to the crew who moved our large collection of pot plants!! Nothing was an issue for the MoveStore team and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

Due to an unfortunate bout of lurgy in the run-up to removal day, I was woefully behind on packing. Thanks to the truly exceptional team at MoveStore, who went above and beyond to help pack a mountain of stuff at the last minute, I was able to flit on the scheduled day.

From the first point of contact from quote through to the last box off the van - and another last min request to pls rearrange the sofa and (v heavy) bookcase back the other way in the new living room - nothing seemed to faze them.

James and Cameron are the definition of helpful and professional. Thanks again, both - v much appreciated!

We used MoveStore for our move from Edinburgh to Glasgow and from the initial contact, they were incredibly professional, efficient, and respectful. We had an initial video walkthrough of our flat with Cameron, who promptly provided us a quote for a variety of services. We decided to go for the full packing service (for the first time) as we were on a tight schedule for moving and couldn’t have been more delighted. Cameron and James were the fastest packers I’ve ever seen! They were excellent at communicating what their plan was, asking questions when needed about certain items to be moved, and very respectful of our home and our belongings. The actual move day was a couple of days later due to a schedule conflict, but they made sure to not pack essentials we might need for cooking, bathing, etc in the interim. The move itself was smooth and, again, Cameron and James were communicative and efficient. At one point, they noticed a small scratch on one of our wardrobe doors and immediately called us over to see it and reimbursed us for the cost of replacing that door. All in all, we are extremely happy with their services and are very happy in our new home thanks to MoveStore.

MoveStore moved my mum across Edinburgh last weekend and we can’t recommend them highly enough.

From the very first communication Cameron and James offered a friendly, efficient and highly professional service. Thanks to them, the move day itself was a stress-free and actually enjoyable experience (something I never thought I would say!)

From the moment they, arrived Cameron, James and their colleague did a fantastic job. They took great care, covering carpets, dismantling large pieces of furniture and protecting everything (pictures, matresses, sofas) with specialist covers. They worked quietly and tirelessly, always friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother.

Unloading at the other end was similar: they carefully reassambled large items and checked my mum had everything in the place she wanted it (they even put her planters of flowers on the Kitchen windowsill, having noted this was where she had them in her last flat - now that’s attention to detail!) My mum was delighted.

I would recommended MoveStore without hesitation and can confidently say Cameron and James will be the only movers I will be using in the future.

Recently moved home and sought the help of Move Store. Friendly and professional engagement from the start, quoted after conducting a quick video call/inventory of our old home.

On the day these guys turned up on time and took great care with our belongings with plenty of packaging and protection to ensure no damage. They unloaded all of our stuff on the other end with the same level of care and attention.

I would use their service again when the time comes and would highly reccomend Move Store. Brilliant service all round.

I dont know where to start from the minute I had the inital call to the video chat with Cameron he was really professional and explained the whole process. This never changed throughout the whole move.

They called on the morning to let me know when they would be there. They kindly returned the following morning to collect my bed to give me longer in the house as I hadn't secured a flat yet and had to put my belonging into storage.

Both cameron and James were so lovely, my friend didn't show up to help me pack my car and I have a 3 year old. They kindly carried what I needed and packed my car. They didn't need to, so very kind.

They handled my items with great respect and were honest as the last company I used took all day to fill the storage and when I emptied the unit they hadn't packed it well things were broken and missing and I had to pay for another unit. Theses guys were able to tell me the items will fit and packed the storage appropriately and with care,and still had space. They were happy to pack the uunitson there Own and call when complete. These lovely men took about about 3 hours they were so fast.

Would i recommend them 110% yes. Do I think they cared 110% yes

Were they quick 110% yes

Were the efficient 110% yes

Were they professional 110%

They were genuinely lovely guys and I would definitely use then in the future and would have no concerns about recommending them.

What more can you ask for? Prompt, reasonably priced and professional service all the way from the initial quote to move day, they delivered friendly service and the safe transport of our belongings from a 2 bedroom flat to a 3 bedroom house. They certainly took the brunt of stressful moving and made it into a smooth, hassle-free experience! We opted to pack ourselves and it was really handy to have the packing materials delivered in advance and a free collection available once we're done to be reused or recycled! The estimated boxes were more than we thought we'd use but ended up pretty accurate! They took care to cover bigger items in blankets and worked efficiently from around 8.30-5pm with only a lunch break around 12.45/1pm. They took into account the later finish time to load and adjusted the time to meet at the new place accordingly, which allowed us just enough time for a quick tidy of the old flat. They had used another van to fit the rest of our belongings and it was nice not to have to worry about cost per item since the guesswork was taken into the capable hands of the movers who assessed how it would all fit.

They were also flexible in providing options for packing too (which we didn't go for in the end but would no doubt have been worthwhile based on our experience with the removal), as well as helping us out with spare tools and tape when we ran out and answering any queries that arose throughout the process. They were understanding when we were a little behind collecting the keys from the seller's nearby estate agent. When we arrived, they were ready to go with an extra hand, and took the time to disassemble and reassemble furniture where needed to fit into our new property. We noticed that they even took care to lay protection over the doors to avoid damage entering with furniture, and in the hallway and carpeted staircase, plus they removed their shoes before entering our carpeted bedrooms. And they were very accommodating ensuring items were placed in the correct locations. They had a good pace of moving items, which allowed us to complete packing the remaining bits and pieces in the flat while they loaded, and took their time to unload carefully without making us feel rushed at any point. They even did a final check for any adjustments to make sure we were happy with everything. Overall, we believe they went that extra mile and took a patient, friendly and flexible approach. We cannot recommend MoveStore enough. Cameron and team were professional, efficient, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was a bother - from moving awkwardly shaped furniture to needing last minute storage. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Our belongings were well protected and the level of care when moving our furniture was first class, making sure doors, floors and carpets were also protected during the removal and delivery. If I could put 10/10 would do so. We moved a number of times internationally and twice in Edinburgh. Both my wife and I are really impressed by Cameron, Ferguson and James. Very friendly and responsive, reasonable for last minute changes and requests. And very professional in actual work, brought protective covers for the doors and floors, protective covers for furniture. Very polite, well mannered. Moved everything safely, fast and with a smile. Could not recommend them more.
