I chose Fontana as they were a local company with 'Medway Fair Trader' approved. Full survey and formal quotes were provided, with a selection of boxes included. They dismantled and reassembled a large wardrobe included within the quote and provided wardrobe boxes. On the day of the move, they arrived on time, were extremely friendly, professional and genuinely cared about my property. It made the day run very smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone moving.

We had used Fontana for our previous move and had been happy with the service and cost. We decided to use them again for our recent move in Kent (not actually Maidstone, but that was the nearest option on the selection list) and were yet again happy with the quote and service before the move.

On moving day the team turned up on time and got straight to work even though it was one of the hottest days of the year. They worked very hard to get everything packed safely, including some large plants in pots that were going with us.

However the team really excelled when we arrived at the new property - especially when I couldn't get the front door open at first! They knew that I was also trying to keep an eye on my elderly mother who was suffering from the heat of the day and they made time to check before the put anything in the rooms.

Before they left they asked if there was anything else they could do to help and even shut the garage for me so I didn't have to struggle with it at the end of a very long, hot day. When I walked round before they left I realised that not only was everything neatly placed in all the rooms, but they had also put the beds together for me (including headboards) and I can't tell you how grateful I was for that.

All in all I cannot fault the service of the team at Fontana but special thanks from me and Mum go to the moving crew who did everything they possibly could to make it as least stressful as possible. Thank you!

Gary at Fontana Moving was able to provide us a competitive quote for a house move at short notice after another company let us down. (Cliffe Woods to Strood) Fontana carried out the move over 2 days which made the actual move day stress free - as they had finished loading the lorry by 10 am on move day. Great service, good value, polite staff. They disassembled and rebuilt 2 large beds, plus all the other furniture that needed it. Would definitely recommend Fontana Moving.

moving date which was much delayed after a buyer dropped out and the chain lengthened.
The truck arrived on time for the move and was
very professionally packed. All staff were extremely polite and helpful.
They were very kind and understanding with my 90 year old mother who was
moving to the coast.
We had a two hour wait for the keys to be
released after arriving at her new home but the men accepted this as outside of our control. They did not finish unpacking until nearly 6pm and still had a long drive back to base. We were expecting an additional bill due to the delays but to our surprise what was received was a bouquet of flowers from the firm wishing my Mum happiness in her new
home. What a lovely gesture!
Moving is always very stressful but the part Fontana was involved in was as stress-free as they could make it.
No hesitation in recommending this firm.

A very professional service from the quote to the wave goodbye. We were told to expect the lorry at 8am, five of them arrived at ten to eight. After a quick tour of the property and a look at what needed to be wrapped, packed and just moved they got to work. The guys were courteous, swift, careful, funny and altogether  brilliant. They had packed everything into the truck within a couple of hours and we were on our way. Two of the guys disappeared on to another job and the remaining three came to our new property to unload.  It was stressful, but by mid afternoon, they had gone and we were sat enjoying a glass of bubbly in our new flat!!

We have moved far too many times in recent years and have used nationally known companies and little local companies and without question I can confirm that Fontana were head and shoulders above the rest. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending them.

As a first time buyer I didn't know what to expect, everyone told me it would be extremely stressful but Fontana were extremely professional and everything went to plan  They arrived on time, were polite, loaded and unloaded quickly (even though I lived on a very narrow awkward cul-de-sac) and they took great care with my items. My move also included picking up some items stored in Kent before going to London and they were very flexible in arranging this. I highly recommend Fontana as a professional stress free service. The price they quoted was extremely reasoonable and I was happy with their service. I will be recommending them to my friends. .

Having used Fontana for our previous move back in 2015 we knew we wished to use them again for our move in August 2021. After contacting for a quote Gary came out, looking and asking questions whilst not being too close or intrusive. He clarified lots of questions as well as our own and confirmed a quote would be with us the next day. Our quote was for packing and taking apart/assembling our Beds.

Without fail, we were sent a quote and it was in line with what we expected and budgeted for. As a result, we simply awaited our exchange/completion date to be confirmed before booking in. Kerry was a great help and really helped ease our nerves as we all know the housing market has been booming and lots of people moving, resulting in days filling up quickly. However, Kerry was kind enough to hold onto slots whilst we tried to exchange.

Eventually, we got the exchange confirmed and we called up to pay. Kerry kindly confirmed arrival times/dates and other questions I had without making me feel like a child, which for some of my questions must be hard. Our move was booked to be over two days.

Removals turned up at 7:50 AM on Monday and got straight to work, we had 3 guys, headed up by Paul. Paul introduced the team and was taken on a little tour of the house, informing him what was staying and what was going/needed extra care. All of the guys were great and extremely conscientious with the packing and tidying up after themselves. As we were moving over two days they decided to leave our living room complete so as to feel like we still had a semblance of home. This was the kind of thinking that you would hope for as it makes a difference, and we hadn’t even thought of it.

Skip to completion day, Wednesday. The crew turned up at 7:50 AM again and got to finish off what was left. Paul took me around to confirm I was happy and nothing was missing/waiting to be packed. They were done and dusted by 10:15 AM, so they headed off to the new address whilst they waited for our sale to complete.

The guys did, unfortunately, have to wait a little bit as the vendor's solicitors were shocking and held our money for over 5 hours, but, that’s another story… anyway, as a result, more of the Fontana team came to help. Whilst this may have helped the initial team not have a super late night, it was also for us to not feel like we were never going to get everything in before midnight. As a result, the team of 3 became a team of 6 and from getting the Keys at 3:30 PM, they were gone by 5:45. This included taking all boxes to the rooms we stated, putting together 3 double beds, and hanging up our clothes in the wardrobes.

Paul asked us to make sure we were happy with which we were, the guys thanked us for our hospitality and wished us all the best in our new home. Moving home is a stressful process and I was worried about the removals just as much as the completion as it’s our belongings that whilst may hold small value are in effect, priceless. The guys did a great job, Kerry in accounts was brilliant, and to top it off further, on Friday my wife received some flowers from the team. Small gestures go a long way and I’m more than happy to give Fontana the highest rating I can for the work and care they did for us in moving.
