Dachser & Kolb

We moved from Upper Bavaria to the Rhineland and were completely disappointed by Dachser and Kolb. The "planning" and implementation of our move was a disaster. The specified schedule was not adhered to, nor was the work carried out to the end. When the on-site subcontractor noticed that he couldn't get by with the sum agreed with Dachser because dachser & kolb obviously made the wrong calculations, he simply ended the work. Days later, after we had to do our own work, part of the work was continued. We unpacked 130 of 200 boxes ourselves, lamps that had been dismantled from a ceiling height of 4m could suddenly not be reassembled to the same ceiling height because there was not a sufficient ladder and "you can't mount lamps at such a height as a matter of principle" For all shortcomings were then given such outrageous excuses. Almost all the boxes were not labeled correctly and were therefore wrongly put away because they were unpacked by other employees. Despite the online inspection, for which we traveled extra, too little loading volume was calculated so that part of our furniture had to remain on site and was only delivered four weeks later, but this additional volume was still invoiced. We have put a lot of effort into the furniture list and the layout plan for both the old and the new apartment as support and are bitterly disappointed, especially with regard to the lack of understanding and goodwill of the Dachser & Kolb company. To make matters worse, there was damage during the move of over €700, which we are now supposed to be replaced at a current value of €90, partly because we allegedly reported some damage too late. But some of the goods to be moved are still weeks away remained at the old place of residence and the majority of the boxes had to be unpacked by us one by one, the question arises as to how the damage and loss of removal goods should be noticed earlier?!?Despite the great annoyance and weeks of frustration we had with the move Nothing in this review is exaggerated or subjective out of anger, no matter what the company Dachser & Kolb replies to this entry here.If you make mistakes, you should also admit them and react accordingly. PS The €90 insurance regulation only applies if you commit to deleting entries like this one. PPS Last but not least, a compliment to the kitchen team, they did a good job.

The inspection and cost estimation took place online via WhatsApp, which was very structured and easy to use. Dachser & Kolb works with partner companies, which is why we were a bit curious about what to expect. On the day of the move, 4 young men (from India/Pakistan) with 2 big sprinters showed up punctually. Packing, loading and unloading was perfect! Carefully, thoughtfully and quickly. And for the move from 53340 Meckenheim to 77974 Meissenheim (355 km) also inexpensive.

I recently had a move from Munich to Berlin and decided to use their services - and I'm so glad I did! The staff I came into contact with were extremely helpful and patiently answered all of my questions. They kept me well informed about the whole moving process and provided me with a detailed schedule which was followed. The team that made my move was just fantastic. They were punctual, courteous and worked together efficiently. It was evident that they had extensive experience and treated my belongings with care and respect. There was no damage or loss whatsoever, which calmed my nerves and left me with complete confidence. The smooth handling of my move made the whole process so much more enjoyable. I was able to concentrate on settling into my new home while Dachser and Kolb did the rest. Entrusting this company with my move was definitely the right decision. In conclusion, I can warmly recommend Dachser and Kolb. Absolutely outstanding service from Dachser and Kolb! I have had the pleasure of using their services for my move and am completely delighted. From the start I was struck by how promptly and efficiently they responded to all my inquiries and concerns. The team was always friendly and professional, which made the entire moving process incredibly smooth. I was particularly impressed by the transparency of the prices. No hidden costs, no surprise fees. Everything was communicated clearly and fairly from the start. This created trust and gave the company a high level of credibility. The actual move was then also absolutely competent. The staff showed a deep understanding of the safe handling of my personal belongings. They worked quickly but extremely carefully. I never felt like my belongings were in danger. All in all, I can fully recommend Dachser and Kolb. Your service exceeded my expectations. For our move from Atlanta to Germany, I contacted Dachser&Kolb in Kempten. Their pricing was kept transparent. The quoted door/door price was in the upper high-price segment. A top service was offered for this: high-quality, seaworthy packaging materials, professional moving teams on both sides, excellent communication with the transport coordination in Koblenz. The door/door transport took about 6 weeks, including customs clearance in Bremerhaven. With our almost 400 packages, there was only one complaint, which is now being processed in Kempten. I will be happy to come back to Dachser&Kolb for future relocation projects. Unreservedly recommended!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: €20000

We moved within Munich. D&K commissioned a subcontractor in Forchheim, 200 km away. A USM fitter was agreed to dismantle and reassemble a sideboard. I had already dismantled the sideboard 1 week before and wanted to cancel the service. Apparently it could only be canceled 14 days before the move - i.e. not. When I asked the subcontractor to do the reassembly, he didn't have the special tools with him because D&K didn't commission USM assembly. The D&K coordinator still demands the full price - 175 EUR - for the service that was not even partially provided. During the inspection, I explained in detail to the estimator that a 3-part cabinet should be dismantled and reassembled as a 2-part unit. However, the subcontractor's fitter did not have the necessary tools with him, so he was only able to reassemble the body of the wall unit, but not the sliding doors. D&K thinks that's our problem. We should hire a carpenter. During the last move, which was also commissioned by D&K in 2020, the same wall unit was converted from 4-part to 3-part without any problems. Things got even worse. A 2 square meter mirror on a cupboard door was broken. A designer cupboard with horizontal roller shutter doors was completely broken (total loss), and a second was seriously damaged. New price: EUR 5,900 per cabinet. In addition, there are deep scratches in the parquet of the old apartment due to careless sanding of heavy furniture. 3 bicycles that were also ordered to be transported were left behind because the truck was too small. After a 17-hour working day [2.5 hours each traveling to and from Forchheim + 12 hours for the move], the eight-person moving team apologized for the fiasco they had caused. Now the battle begins with D&K damage management.
