Excellent from start to finish.Leading up to the move we had a home survey done and all communication with the office was handled very well.
On the moving day they arrived early but were happy to wayt outside untill we called them in.Once inside they introduced themselves and we showed them around the flat.
Everything was handled and loaded carefully with manny of our items being wrapped.They used blankets,bubble wrapp and some zipped covers they were equipped with.
We paid for a stress free removal and this is what we received.

We used City Removals for our recent move.
Only good things to report.Nice people to deal with in the office and the movers.
They came on time and were fully equipped.The service was as described in their email.Everything was wrapped,they had toolboxes ,covers,blankets etc.
Handling was done very well.They treated all our furniture with maximum care.Also their appearance was top notch with the men wearing company uniforms.Also both men spoke good english and were fully capable of undertstanding our instructions.

This was the first time we hired a removal company.We contacted City Removals and 3 other companies.They were the first to reply.We also spoke with them on the phone a few times.Parking was also taken care of by them.They rezerved a few bays with the local council so that they could park right outside our flat.
On the day 2 Romanian chaps turned up.Both in company uniforms.Their english was quite good and they had no problems in understanding and following instructions.
They were very polite all the time and always willing to help.Our furniture was treated with the utmost care and some of it was even wrapped.
They worked hard all day and had no complaints.Their fitness levels must be good as well as they had no problems in going up and down 3 flights of stairs.
Overall a very good service.

The lady who came to conduct the no obligation survey of our stuff was professional and quick. They promptly provided a competitive quote. There was (reassuringly) excellent communication leading up to the move. And the move itself was simple, efficient and with zero problems - they even arrived early and patiently waited outside until the preappointed time. They just got on with it. This was probably the least stressful bit of our move. I would use these guys again. Thank you City Removals. .

Excellent service on all counts.The company was a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process.Everything was dealt with proffessionally and the move itself was as smooth as it can be.
The quotation was clear and well thought out with a clear description of the costs and the type of service we would receive.Most importantly there was no small print so the price agreed was the price we paid.
The men were punctual.We booked them for 08:00 am and they arrived as expected.
Unfortunately we had to wayt 2 hours for our keys but this was not a problem.They told us there are no wayting time charges and there were not.The men parked outside the flat and wayted patiently untill we arrived with the keys.
Before unloading we showed the around the new place.They asked us where we wanted all our furniture and everything was placed as we wanted.
A very good and honest service.

We booked City Removals for both packing and removal from our 2-bedroom flat on the 2nd floor to another 2-bedroom flat on the 2nd floor (both buildings without lifts). Prior to removal, communication was via email and phone, and an assessor also came out to do a site survey to firm up the quote (on a Sunday!). The move took place over 2 consecutive days, with the packing on the first day (7 hours) and the removal on the second day (6 hours). There were over 100 boxes packed and a large proportion of these contained books. Furniture to be removed was less onerous being mostly bookcases, with a TV and some stands, although we also requested a quote for disposing of some other furniture items and these items were taken on the first day. 2 people did the packing, and 3 people did the removal. Note the moving cost shown includes £100 disposal cost. Overall, we were very impressed with the service we received from start to finish, including the contact with the office prior to the removal. Considering the many heavy boxes to be taken up and down flights of stairs, the moving team remained professional and in good humour throughout. They were communicative as needed, and asked when unsure about anything. We are still in awe of their ability to carry many of the boxes up and down stairs that we can barely pick up. We have completed about 80% of the unpacking so far and there have been no damaged items noted (the rest of the boxes are books, so highly unlikely we will find any issues). In terms of price, the quote was on the cheaper end of the scale, but not the cheapest of the quotes we received. We feel it was money well spent, and based on our experience we highly recommend this company.

We booked this company about 2 weeks in advance of our move day.
As we had a small baby we asked them for a 10:00am start time and this was not a problem.
When the movers came they introduced themselves,we gave them a good briefing of what was to be done and that was it,they than got on with it.
The whole move took about 7 hours and this was only because they could not find a parking place near the front door at our new address.They did not make an issue out of it and they started unloading.
A good service.

I can't express how good this company was to deal with, right from the start.
And it all finished with 2 very helpful, cheerful, polite movers making what can be a very stressful day a lot less so.
They were tidy and placed lots of protective coverings both on the floors and the furniture. Nothing was damaged and they helped to take items apart and back together when it was required.
I would and will happily recommend this company again to my friends.

I wanted to move the contents of a 3 bedroom flat in central London to a farm house in West Sussex (not Brighton, that's just the nearest place I could select on this website).  Some stuff was still in the flat but most was in storage a few miles away, so loading was done from two locations.  I got about a dozen quotes from different removal companies with a range of about £550-£750. City-Removals was somewhere near the middle of the pack in terms of price, but with so many good reviews on this website I decided to go with them.  I'm glad I did - the service was excellent and well worth the small extra cost (compared to the cheapest quote).  I thought that loading from two locations might add to the cost, or cause some problems, but City Removals were fine with it. I was away prior to the move so couldn't arrange a site survey, but City Removals were happy to proceed on the basis of my expectation that we'd need a 7.5T truck and two men. Communications were clear and straight-forward throughout.  On the day they actually provided two Lutons and two men, which was fine.  They were scheduled to arrive at 8am but arrived early, which gave us a good head start.  I'm selling the flat so was concerned that no damage was done to the walls, floors, or doors during the move.  The guys were very careful and did a great job.  Everything was wrapped in blankets and secured to the sides of the vans.  I had some items that needed to be dismantled and they made short work of those.  I also had one extremely tricky item - a treadmill- which had been constructed on-site.  I didn't think we'd get it out to be honest, but the guys were very persistent and after some careful and extremely tricky manoevering they managed to get it out without damaging any walls.  The guys headed off to the storage unit while I dealt with a few things, and didn't mind at all that I kept them waiting half an hour.  Loading from storage was fast and smooth, as was unloading at the other end.  All in all I can't fault the service.  Really excellent.  I would definitely use them again (and did in fact, when I moved my parents).

It was quite a big deal for me to fork out the money to pay for a removal company, but I'm very pleased I did. I found City Removals on this website and they were exceptionally well reviewed. Their experience and professionalism showed immediately as they got in touch regarding my gross underestimation of how many boxes I would need to move and gave me some advice as to how many men and what size van would be needed which proved very astute. They also looked into parking at both ends of the journey and made me feel very at ease with the whole process.

The move itself went very smoothly. The deliverymen were courteous, quick, strong, and worked without complaint. They beat us to the new property and everything was in in no time. They also took away some items we no longer wanted, including a last minute decision which was made after the prior items were already on their way to the recycling firm.
