Good communication from the start, competitive pricing, and they took the stress out of our move. Even came a day early to start loading. Fully unloaded in our new home by 3pm on moving day, in the pub by 4 pm. Great job, Paul, Tom and Ian.

At really short notice Baxters came and helped me with my move. The team of Dan, Anthony and Tom were the best. They asked a few questions, took directions. Very professional as I didn’t know where to start. I was sooo stressed. Personally I can’t recommend them enough.

Baxter’s did a great job of moving us from wigan to Chester le street County Durham. They used luton vans for the move and it took 5 full loads fortunately they had 4 vans and managed to complete the removal in 3 days (the estimate was for 4 days) Dan, Ian, Paul, Tom and ant all did a superb job thanks guys

Theft.

Moved from Lancashire to Derbyshire, including 6 months storage. Unfortunately during one of these processes my baby daughters money box was emptied of its contents. This totalled about £20! They were her first coins and of great sentimental value to my wife who was devastated. I spoke over a period of 4 months to both Peter and Chris, who both made various promises about dealing with this and contacting me, which neither of them have done. I am obviously disgusted by the pointless theft of my daughters coins, but more disgusted by the treatment I have received. This review is being copied on various websites in order to inform others to avoid this company. The absolutely basics of customer service are to deal with the person and their issue, do not ignore them or make promises that you fail to deliver.

Avoid This Company.

Worst day when we moved. Avoid using - Very Shoddy!

Quoted over the phone, but I explained although we were a 3 bed semi we had a lot of stuff. Chris said he had numerous years experience but I insisted he came round prior to us moving, which he did and he put the price up an extra £300.00 and said we would need 2 vans and 4 staff. We obviously went with this as felt at short notice had know one else to get in a short space of time.

3 staff turned up on the day and 1 van at 8.15am. They said the next van would arrive at 11am. First van full by 10.20am. Next van never turned up till 12.30pm. The staff / porters seemed embarrassed as they didn't know what was happening. 1 then decided to take the van to our new house which was an hr away and there was no one there at the new house. We had to be out the house by 1pm!! Obviously this didn't happen. We phoned Chris several times and explained the situation, he was not very helpful to say the least.

I had specifically emailed and asked about mattress bags and wardrobe boxes prior to moving and was told by Chris that they come as standard! Evidently they did not. On 1 phone call on the day to Chris my husband mentioned this and he said they were on the next van. NO Mattress Bags and NO wardrobe boxes whatsoever. We had to carry our clothes out of our house and lay them on our old summer house floor. The porters eventually tied rope inside the van to hang our clothes on!! This is not what we paid for - plus some got dropped on the floor by the porters handing them to the other porter in the van! Yes it was the worst wet day of the week.

We were then 1 man down when the 2nd van came so had no alternative but to start helping moving the boxes from our old house, including my 75 year old mother in law. Eventually the 1st guy came back and then another van (van 3) and a 4th person. By this time it was gone 2pm and we had finally got everything out the house.

We booked a removals firm, to make it easier for our family and to take away the stresses! I can assure you this didn't happen and we had nothing but a stressful day.

We finally left our old house at approx. 3.00pm ready for our hr journey to our new home. Again on arrival we ended up helping to carry the boxes etc yet again. 1 porter disappeared as he had had enough. Our sofa got damaged!

My 6 year old got in bed and hurt her hand I then realised she had gotten a splinter from her mattress as it had not been in a bag, god knows what was on it. The staff/porters were friendly and I appreciate that it is not their fault!

Unprofessional service, have emailed a complaint and also complained to the guy that actually delivered our belongings. No contact since. I would like to take this further as the service we paid for is not what we received and I am disgusted!!

Here’s the thing, everyone makes mistakes but a good company puts it right. Peter and Chris just ignore your calls, txts or emails. In the middle of a housing boom we paid over the odds, there were few issues which in the current climate we an live with but when you see an item loaded but it was never unloaded and then you’re ignored it’s just poor character let alone service. Steer clear unless you’re paying less than £500 as you can get two Luton vans for this and not the £1100 we paid

Full house removal- Moving Home

A super service from Lee and Dale. They were punctual and worked hard to overcome a few obstacles, but updated and reassured me on everything as we went along.

They were friendly and professional and helped with advice and support. The move was a big and difficult one, but they handled it well and everything arrived in one piece.

Planning the move and flexibility with dates was also really well handled and communication was excellent up to the day of the move.

Thank you for making a difficult day more manageable.

Stress Free Relocation

Couldn't of asked for a better service. From the initial survey through to completing the move dealing with Baxters was a pleasure. They arrived with 3 vans and 5 lads and packed the house up in 3.5hrs, amazing. All the lads were friendly, reassuring and helpful. At the other end they arrived bang on time and had is unloaded in 2hrs. What a service, thanks guys, would recommend you to anyone.

A first class home removal service

I am an ex RAF Wife who has been relocated many times. Without doubt Baxters is a far superior Removal Company in comparison to others I have used over the years.

Even though Chris was away when I initially enquired, he still took my call & made an appointment to come to my home to conduct a survey. I agreed the quote to be reasonable & was pleasantly surprised there was no extra charge to move at weekends.

Tim & Sam were my movers & what a team they made!

Tim politely introduced both of them. I was a tad anxious as I am disabled & have speech problems. I had no reason to be apprehensive, as he listened & made it clear from the outset, even though they were moving my possessions I was top priority during the move. After showing them around the house & shed he made sure I had somewhere comfortable to sit while they loaded the van.

My bed frame was tricky to manoeuvre, Sam asked if he could take the bathroom door off its hinges & soon the frame was on the van. Once they had finished loading I was asked to walk around the house to make sure nothing had been left behind. Tim gave me his mobile number, so if I had any problems while driving I could call him.

Tim phoned me when they were a half hour out from the destination to check I was ok & to see where I was.

He helped to unload my car before starting on the van. He made sure my Cats had their Cat tree out first, which I found to be most conscientious. I explained where all the rooms were & Tim brought a chair in so I could be comfortable. He situated it so I was able to "supervise."

My bed was yet again a bit of a problem & would not fit up the stairs. It had to be completely dismantled, to my dismay. I didn't want for them to undertake extra work, as they had worked tirelessly. Tim assured me it was no problem for them & he would rebuild it, as I was physically unable. Once the van was unloaded I was asked to look inside to confirm nothing had been left behind.

I was treated throughout the day with respect & dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact they went above & beyond. Both Tim & Sam asked several times during the day if I was ok & if there was anything they could do to help me.

They certainly provided me with a first class service, a credit to Baxters, which I hope Chris will acknowledge.

First move for 37 years

From the very first meeting with Chris we felt confident we had found the right company to move us to our new property. Even when we had to change the address we were moving to there were no problems. On the two days we actually moved the teams of movers were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. On day one Dan, Tim and Lee efficiently loaded most of the heavy furniture onto the 2 vans and we drove to Cheshire and unloaded into the new property, all in the pouring rain. On day 2 Dan, Dayle and Phil repeated the process, but not as much rain. We can only thank them for everything they did for us. We will consider using them when we move again next year, although they will be more expensive because of the distances involved.

Very efficient and friendly.

Baxters arrived bang on time for both the quote and the actual move and were very efficient with loading and unloading. Nothing was too much of a problem for the guys and they managed to load items that I thought we might have to leave behind. They made the moving process very smooth and I would definitely use them again.

Worst of the worst.

Tumble drier set on fire , the wood flooring was damaged there was rust over our clothes two tvs ended up with lone down them and kids chocolate that was given as a leaving gift from there school went missing , absolute scum off the earth , I will be sueing for damages.
