Smile Moves

I chose Smile Moves as they were local and came highly recommended. I was not disappointed. Simon and his team were prompt and professional when quoting and even offered advice on the size of storage unit I would need. They offered a reasonable price for the service we wanted moving out of a 5 bedroom house into storage.
As is often the case with property sales we had complications with exchange and Simon was very understanding when we had to reschedule our move to another day. On the day itself they took care to make sure all my furniture was suitably protected and they carefully packed everything into their van for transit. I have been working in property for a number of years and have undertaken a number of similar moves with other reputable companies. Simon and his team were better than any of the others we have used. They took extra care when moving furniture to make sure there weren't any knocks, scuffs or scratches on the walls and skirting as you often get when doing a move. Everything was well protected and handled with care. They managed to fit everything into a very small storage unit without needing to cram things in and pile things precariously as I have seen in the past. Overall the best move experience I have ever had and I am certain to use them again.

Simon and his team from Smile Moves assisted my partner and I in moving from a 2-bed flat to a 3-bed house, all within the proximity of South London. What set Smile Moves apart from the offset was the crystal clear communication and quotation process. Labour, materials and VAT were all included in what we received.

We opted for a package of work in which Smiles packaged everything for us. On the day, this was a very, very stress-free experience and well worth what we paid. The team were chatty, articulate and worked fast.

I'd happily and easily reccommend Smile Moves to anyone entertaining a fully packaged service for their housemove.

Simon and his team helped us move from London to Berlin. The quotation process and communication before the move was responsive and professional with Simon taking the time to answer my various questions. We went with a fragile pack service and the team packed all of the breakables quickly and carefully and were chatty and friendly. It was a very stress-free experience. Two days later we met up again in Berlin. There was a slight problem with accessing the storage unit we were using and the team approached solving this with good humour and professionalism. They then did a further drop-off at the flat we were renting. Everything arrived safely and undamaged - even our plants. I happily recommend Smile Moves. I only wish they had a branch in Berlin for when we move our things out of storage.

Communication with Simon to arrange the move was friendly and perfectly straightforward - Especially pleased he was able to adapt to our relatively short timeframe for a moving date. On the day, the two guys Alex and Brian were fantastic. Extremely efficient, very kind and helpful. They took the stress out of moving which was always a key concern of ours. It was a very hot day but they cracked on and worked tirelessly, keeping to their schedule and also on hand to adapt. They were unloaded our items where they needed top go and were very gracious when asked to move things to other areas of the house. I was anxious prior to our move as I had bad experiences in the past with other removal companies. I’m 8 months pregnant and wasn’t going to be able to help around and I have very little energy. But from the very first moment I felt relieved and relaxed as Smile moves guys did such a professional job while being super friendly. Not the usual passive agressivity or hurried approach that I got used to from my bad experiences with other companies. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed!

I engaged the services of "Smile Moves" to empty a very full large storage room in a Local Storage Facility and Transfer the contents to my Home. The emptying of the Storage Room involved dismantling a number of shelving units. The stored items were many and varied, most of which were very heavy and awkward to handle. From information given by me to
Simon Edney of Smile Moves he gave me a very fair price for the move and allocated a team of 3 Removal Men. One of the main difficulties in my move was lack of space at my home to bring the removed storage items into. The whole job actually appeared quite a daunting task but Simon's team all had a a very positive attitude, work ethic and were all very helpful and pleasant to work with. The move was successfully completed within the estimated time frame. I thoroughly recommend "Smile Moves".

Simon and his team took the stress out of packing and the removal. Their quote was the cheapest we received. Simon checked everything during his quotation so that there were no last minute surprises. He was also easily contactable prior to the completion date. They were professional throughout and worked hard over the two days, understanding that we had to work the packing and move around school drop-offs. All of the items arrived safely and in the condition they left. Fragile items were pristine upon arrival. Hanging items were able to be unpacked with ease. Upon arrival all items were labelled and delivered to the desired rooms in the house waiting to be unpacked. They really couldn't have done any more to make sure the removal went to plan.

These guys really lived up to their name - cheerful, friendly, they really did smile a lot. Everything was efficiently done and they were generous hearted - for example I had a big plant in a heavy pot which I would have left behind because it was difficult to move, but they volunteered to move it for me and did so, double checking when I chose to have it in a more accessible place that I really wanted it there rather than round the back which would have been more trouble. Although the tea stuff was packed separately they didn't produce it at the other end until they had nearly finished which really surprised me. It was a long day for all of us and we began to flag towards the end - but they still did a great job. I would certainly use them again and wholeheartedly recommend them.

We used Smile Moves last year to move us from London up to Leeds. We were recommended by friends who had used them a couple of years ago. We have finally unpacked all the boxes.No breakages after opening 120+ boxes. We opted for the full pack and move service which was so stress free , Eric Brian and Robbie I think were just amazing , great people to have around .Nothing was too much for them . I also have to mention Simon the owner who was hands on from coming round to carry out the survey to the items being packed up on the day . I just wanted to say what a great company this is and I would hesitate recommending them to anyone who is moving.

I have used Smilemoves twice now. The first short move was a brief 2 mile distance. Everything was done to a high standard with no fuss.
This month I used them to move me 400 hundred miles. Their preparation was detailed and explicit. All my queries about the journey whether general or detailed were answered clearly and quickly. The guys who packed up my stuff were considerate and efficient. They were neither rushing nor slouching- just steady and careful - in packing my stuff into their vans. They were able to answer all my queries and concerns. This was fairly important as they were putting my stuff into a storage depot for me. In fact Simon advised me on how to make sure that the depository was of a good standard. I would recommend them very highly. They’re smart, polite, reasonably priced and super professional.

I've now used Smile Moves twice moving from London to the Southampton area. I was expecting a stressful experience but was relieved to find it much much easier than I anticipated because the removal men were so helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable.

Simon was extremely accurate in his assessment of how many loads maybe needed and how many boxes etc. I packed some things myself but asked them to to box up a huge number of books and dismantle furniture etc.

Everything was done on time and carefully and reassembled at the other end. It was genuinely done with a smile!

I will be using this company again for the final part of the move shortly and I cannot praise them highly enough, added to which it was a very competitive price. Thank you Smile Moves.... You definitely lived up to your name!

Our house removal went smoothly until we were advised that some items had been left behind in the building's lift after we had locked up and had set off to our new home. Smile moves management left it almost 8 weeks before arranging to send a courier to deliver these remaining items to us. This was only after we advised Smile moves that we would arrange our own courier and claim back the cost through the small claims court procedure if he continued to delay. Norbert and his team are excellent house removers and I would not hesitate to recommend them. But our experience was marred by the management's indifferent attitude & decision to delay delivering our remaining items to us. Zero points for the management.
