What a fantastic experience that made my move painless! This was my first time paying for a full service move (compared to paying for x hours with x amount of helpers) and it was well worth it! By the end of the day we were buddies with the crew-they went above and beyond. We had some items here and there that we were going to transport ourselves but they took the initiative to make sure they got every item. Once we got to the new location they asked if they can help in positioning rugs before furniture, etc. Couldn't have been more pleased-thanks for making a painful day good.

We contacted William B. Meyer for a short notice move and they were able to perform an audit of the home quickly and professionally. Once scheduled, our coordinator walked us through the process the day before to get us setup. The team showed up at 8:00 am and started immediately. They were steady and highly efficient at packing our property. Within a few hours, all our items were packed and ready for transport. The entire process went extremely well, and William B. Meyer was great to work with. Would recommend their services to anyone. Great job!

I have moved several times and this is my second time using William B. Meyer. The first time was such an excellent experience that I thought I would use them again. And they didn't disappoint. They move was not easy - living in the upper west side on the fifth floor in a pre-war building as its challenges. But they navigated those challenges brilliantly and the move was low stress. Very professional and careful. You may pay a little more but you get what you pay for. I will only use William B. Meyer in the future.

This email is to show my intense gratitiude and praise of Frank Diaz along with his two coworkers Bob and Nick Kifer. The day after Tropical Storm Isasis I was scheduled to receive my furniture on August 6th in Norwalk. I could not have been blessed with a better bunch of guys especially Frank. I have always moved with United in my previous moves. They have always been good experiences but this one stands out due to the leadership of Frank. On a day with no power and trees and power lines down Frank was not fazed by it. My house is on a one lane road that turns into a cul de sac. Backing up the truck was a piece of cake for him. He was unable to access my driveway due to the trees and power lines. He had a big and friendly smile that put me at ease. The fact that they had to carry the furniture up an incline of the front yard was not an issue. Frank and the team did something I had not seen a previous United team do. He had the brothers put a moving blanket on the handrail to the upstairs so not to damage it. Even the toughest item to move, the treadmill didn't stop him. I asked for it to be put in the basement which made it a tough request. With patience and leadership from Frank they were able to do it. Friendly, confident and reliable sums up Frank. Never before I have written an email like this but due to my wonderful experience I had with Frank I felt his company needed to know who they have. United has a great hard working employee who deserves to be recognized. I plan not to move for a long time but if I have to in the near future I know who I would request. That person is Frank Diaz along with the two brothers Bob and Nick.

I couldn’t have chosen a better moving company than William B Meyer! Between contacting Bill to coordinating my move with Debra and Laura, everything went so smoothly and was executed very professionally. The team was readily available and responsive to all inquiries, and detailed the entire moving process to make sure everything went perfectly and was stress-free.

I moved from New York City to Connecticut and worked with Paul Denzel (crew lead) and Gary. The team arrived on time, were very neat, and cleaned up after they were done. The moving crew was like a well-oiled machine and I couldn’t believe how quick and organized they were. They skillfully navigated the busy streets of Manhattan as well as moved everything up and down a four story walk-up building! Upon arriving to my final destination, the team set up my boxes in an organized fashion. Moving out of NYC is never easy, but this crew did such an excellent job.

Overall, I was very pleased with the entire experience. I would only use them for future moves and I highly recommend William B Meyer for any type of move whether it be near or far! When I am ready to move back to NYC I plan on requesting the same crew as this time around.

Hired William B Meyers for interstate move. They not only met but exceeded my expectations. My move included loading a 3 bedroom house to deliver part of load to a 1 bedroom apartment with the bulk of our possessions being delivered to a storage unit awaiting the completion of a home build. The estimation was done virtually and Bill did a wonderful job helping me “walk through “ my house to calculate weight and review what I would wrap and what would be left to the movers. Bill also suggested how to carefully prepare items I planned on wrapping myself. The crew that arrived at our home were there promptly at the start time. While we did the majority of the packing ourselves they took great care in packing the items left to them and handled everything very carefully.

Three of the five people that packed up the truck arrived at my apartment earlier than planned which I appreciated. They unloaded the items quickly and carefully then off to the storage unit! My concern was the amount of items we still had on the truck exceeded the capacity of the storage unit. We had the largest unit available. While I would be able to rent a second unit there would be an extra expense. The crew packed the unit like a jigsaw puzzle and not only fit all the items, had some room to spare! My entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. My calls and emails were answered promptly. Bill estimated the weight higher than all of the other 3 quotes I received and the cost was the second lowest (only about $100 higher than lowest estimate). The difference was Meyer estimated 1000 pounds more and offered a binding contract which they honored even when the actual weight came in 1000 pounds heavier.

It all came down to the quality of the moving crew. Harold was the driver and team lead. The entire moving team were wonderful. Very courteous and efficient loading and unloading. Harold did an amazing job loading the storage unit and took great care fitting the items in one item at a time. Meyer came recommended from a neighbor that moved from Texas and had high praise for their professionalism. He was spot on! Would I recommend Meyer? Absolutely!

I don't even know where to start. This was the second time we've hired William B. Meyer Company to move us. This time from Florida back to CT. It was again, the BEST moving experience I have EVER had! It started with Bill Harner who came to the house to give us an estimate; it continued with Deb Rivera, and Mary Bruner at the office, who communicated effectively, and gave me peace of mind throughout this otherwise stressful process. And then the actual packing/moving crew.. WOW!! The crew leader "Yomar" was AMAZING!! Super efficient; very professional and friendly, and just a gem of a person! His crew of two were also fabulous, packing everything with great care. I HIGHLY recommend William B. Meyer for anyone in need of a GREAT moving company. They are the BEST!! If you are looking for a smooth move with less stress and worry, then THIS is the company for you!

We had an excellent experience with Willian B Meyer! My husband and I needed moving and storage services for our move from New York City, and William B Meyer had excellent service and competitive rates.

Our movers were prompt and professional, and took great care when moving our belongings! There was no damage or any other issues we experienced.

We were moving out with a newborn, and William B Meyer made our move as quick and easy as possible. Due to Covid-19, we were very cautious about letting strangers into our home, but our movers adhered to all necessary safety precautions, and were equipped with gloves, sanitizing wipes, and wore face masks at all times. They even left the apartment when I had to return to feed/change our newborn.

We also used William B Meyer for our storage needs and have been pleased with these services as well. Our items are safely and securely stored, and we have been able to easily access our items as needed.

Moving can be stressful but not with William B Meyer. I have had storage with William B Meyer for a number of years and that left an excellent impression. Thus, when it was a time to make an interstate move from Connecticut to the Albany area, I called William B Meyer and was put in touch with Bill Harner. Not only did he call me immediately but every time I phoned him he contacted me in less than a half hour. My first move had to be canceled just about five days before it was scheduled because of some issues with the house I had planned to purchase, so I had to cancel the move. Bill Harner was extremely understanding. I found another house quite soon and rescheduled my move. Again, I was given an estimate and was told exactly what would happen and when.

I worked closely with Mary Bruner and we scheduled the loading the day before Thanksgiving and the move the day after Thanksgiving.

Gary and Paul, who came to my apartment could not have been more efficient and thoughtful. They completed the loading in about 90 minutes and the next time I saw them was early on the Friday after Thanksgiving at my new empty home near Albany. About two hours later everything was moved in perfectly, and furniture was brought to the designated rooms and the beds were set up.

I have moved internationally numerous times, and never have I had the first rate experience I had with Gary and Paul, and Mary Bruner and Bill Harner. I have nothing but admiration for how they made the move as easy as possible and without any incident whatsoever. This is a first class operation and I experienced a great group of professionals totally painless.
