DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I sent an enquiry through their website for a full packing and moving service. Moving from Cheshire, England to Conwy County, Wales. I received a message asking for videos of the items to be included in the move, which I duly sent in. I then received a quote of £2700.

Move dates were finally narrowed down for the second week in September. WeCare Removals asked for £200 to be sent via bank transfer with a further £500 to be sent once a specific day was confirmed. They do not accept card payments. The balance was due the day before the move, again by bank transfer, and it was only when I received the final invoice that I realised the quote had not included VAT meaning that £2700 became £3240. After rechecking the emails I received from the company, I found at the bottom of their signature, a line to the effect that VAT is excluded from quotes. This really should be made clear in the main body of the emails.

All that aside, I paid the full amount requested and looked forward to finally moving. In the later emails from WeCare Removals they had stated that I could expect 2 teams of 3-4 people, this to me means 6-8 people, nope, 3 people turned up on the day. These 3 people were also not expecting to pack! After explaining that I had paid for a full packing and moving service, 2 of the men commenced packing while 1 got on the phone to the office. The office contacted me and stated that I had only paid for a moving service and that if I wanted them to pack it would cost £1200 + VAT which I would be expected to pay there and then. I argued that I had paid for a full packing and moving service, their reply was ‘check your emails, it does not say anything about packing’. I did check my emails, and it didn’t say anything about packing however it also didn’t say that it was for moving only and as I had sent a request for a full packing and moving service, why would I expect the quote to be for anything else? They wouldn’t budge, they said if I didn’t pay they would leave the job, I didn’t have the cash available and they would not accept credit card payment. I had to phone around family to beg to borrow the money. I felt like I was being held to ransom. What can you do on the day that you are moving?

Then as if that wasn’t enough, mid afternoon I received an email (luckily I had been checking my emails throughout the day) saying that the packers/movers had contacted the office and that everything was not going to fit in on the 2 vans that they had sent. If I wanted all of my items to go, I had to pay another £2700 + VAT for a ‘2nd trip’. I immediately got on the phone to WeCare Removals stating that I had sent the video clips of my items and that if they had made a mistake in their estimates, this should not be laid at my door. Bear in mind that between the time of the videos being sent and the day of the move, I had disposed of some items of furniture so they had less to take than originally planned. Again they stated that if I did not pay the extra, they would not complete the job.,

Absolutely no way was I paying that. I went on Facebook making an urgent plea for help, did a Google search and found a wonderful gentleman who came out within the hour to collect the items that WeCare Removals would not take. He stored them overnight and delivered them the next day, all for only £400. Still extra that I shouldn’t have had to pay but far less than the £2700 + VAT that WeCare Removals tried to extort out of me.

The final problem was that due to the delays and the minimal amount of packers the company had sent, it was getting late in the day and the estate agents where I needed to collect the keys from was due to close before I would be able to get there. I contacted them explaining the problems encountered and the manager very kindly said she would wait behind for me. Luckily for her, it was only an extra 30 minutes.

I have nothing bad to say about the guys that actually did the packing. While it was a bit haphazard, everything got there and they worked non stop all day, finally leaving the new place about 9.30 pm.

A day that I thought was going to cost £2700 ended up costing £5080. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They made an already stressful day into an absolute nightmare.

It’s always a minefield finding a respectable business through these type of comparison sites so when choosing We Care to handle my move it wasn’t anything in particular that drew me to them as prices were all around the same area. Well I personally will not be looking anywhere else in future for this type of service. We Care were early arriving, were quick and professional in their manner and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had 2 drops to do complete over the day in different directions and we were done and dusted moving a 3 bed house by 12.30pm. Highly recommend this company.

Service cost: £400

We moved house from Maidenhead to Henley.
WeCare subcontracted our job without permission or knowledge to Kent Removals Ltd who were not fit for purpose.
We were lied to throughout the entire process.
We paid for two men and a van and received one man and one woman. Their van broke down and THEY DID NOT HAVE BREAKDOWN COVER because it was 'too expensive'.
Throughout the course of the day we were lied to over and over again. We were told that a mechanic has been sent, no mechanic arrived.
We were told (by Louis at WeCare) that another team was being sent at 1pm. No team arrived.
WeCare told us that another van was coming at 6pm. No van arrived.
WeCare told us that another van was coming at 8pm. No van arrived.
We were told various reasons why these vans could not arrived, despite having supposedly being sent, such as the 'tyres broke' and 'police stopped them'.
We were completely abandoned, as was the driver by WeCare. They refused to pick up the phone despite us leaving various voicemails, text messages and emails. Louis was very communicative when closing the deal but not when the issue arose.
How can a removal company not be insured properly, or have a back up plan in place?
Finally, the driver's 'mate' turned up at 10:30pm (when it was dark) and refused to tow the truck because it was illegal and he was worried about the police stopping him.
My wife was in tears all day and WeCare completely ruined our house move.
We were extremely lucky that our buyers did not need to move in on the same date.

You should avoid WeCare at all costs. Even if there is a 1% chance that the same experience happens to you that occurred with us. They left us in a position where we slept on a mattress on the floor in a house we no longer owned and having to desperately find a competent removal company to urgently move our items. When the (VERY basic) problem arose, WeCare ran for the hills.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Service cost: £750

We have used We Care twice in the last three months, once for a local move and once for long distance. On both occasions, the quality of service was as good as that offered by the larger companies and at a highly competitive price.

The booking and planning process is speedy and personal, while the moving teams are efficient and helpful.

Having discovered We Care by accident, we now cannot recommend them highly enough.

Don't trust them.

We agreed to move all my house stuff to my new house 4 hours away. On the day we were moving, they turned with only a small subcontracted Luton van, which did not cope with all the house stuff.

When we phoned the office was a nightmare, the girl on the phone did not stop saying we didn't show the loft stuff when surveying the house. The funny thing is that the house has no loft. They didn't accept responsibility for their unprofessional survey and services. It was impossible to escalate the issue with a manager. I doubt there is a manager or someone in charge or if they have their own staff or vehicles.

We were scammed for this company. They left us down with lots of things still in the house and they threatened us with no delivery of the stuff that was already in the truck.

They knew I was in a nearly empty house with my two little boys and the only solution they offered was sending another van for £750 extra at our cost. We did not accept this extortion and look for a solution ourselves.

WeCare doesn't care about you. They are professional liars that will blame you for their mistakes and will try to rip you off when they know you are in troubles. Also, the invoiced they sent us was by Kent Removals instead of WeCare.

Please, make you a favour and stay away from them.

ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY!! SAVE YOURSELF FROM DEALING WITH THEM AND FIND A REPUTABLE COMPANY.

They stole £360 of my money and never showed. I booked a removal service to take place at my studio and was not given any response through out the entire day as to when my belongings would be picked up. I should have suspected something was wrong when they asked for payment in full and called me repeatedly to get all the money upfront. After no one got back to me all day and waiting till 10 o'clock at night with no movers showing up, Alice tried to tell me that I was the one who cancelled the service over the phone with the movers. When I provided call logs to prove them wrong, there was no apology or admission of guilt. Alice was purposefully vague and unhelpful and dodged my calls until I could contact her from a different phone. I am still trying to recoup my money and have reported them to the fraud department so no one else is hurt by them.

Ive since had to rebook a delivery with someone else charging way less and they gave me a time slot right away.

Do yourself a favour and find someone else.

Move size: Office Move Service cost: £360

As usual the We Care team arrived on time and commenced their usual careful removal , including dismantling, where necessary.

They worked hard and diligently without a trace of damage to our goods, our flat or the communal areas. Carried out the first drop at our latest property, again without a hitch and then carried on to Worcester, 150 miles away, for the final drop.

Superb service and an unbeatable price. They do care and I can thoroughly recommend them.

Service cost: £490

Hired for a big house move from the North to the West Midlands. communication was good although we did have to go back and forth a lot around the size of van needed due to how much stuff we had to move. in the end we got there and the guys that came to do the job were brilliant, they neede no supervision and just cracked on and got the job done. they were respectful, professional and polite and on time! I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone. in fact I am probably going to book them again in september.

Service cost: £475

George and Julian arrived on time, and were professional and courteous. They took great care with belongings, particularly with fragile stuff and white goods, using padding and fastening straps where needed.
Loading and unloading were quick, and at destination everything went where we requested (upstairs/downstairs, front/back, kitchen/bathroom).
The company also showed flexibility with dates, as we changed our moving date just days before the move.
Pricing seemed fair and responsive to changes.
All in all - wonderful service.

I found We Care through the quotes system of Anyvan, although not the cheapest (I have had cheap before!) there write up and then communication with me was a bit different from the usual removal firms. Communication from the start was great and Louis answered my emails at all times if the day and night. Removal day and the guys turned up on time at 8am and proceeded to empty the house in record breaking time including the disassembly of 3 beds and packing services for TV's. nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend.

When I first saw the team sent to collect the pool table we bought I had my doubts about how this would be achieved as the couple of guys looked a bit skinny but I was absolutely wrong on my first impression.
Both guys really helpful and polite and you can see straight away that they are hard workers. Strongly recommend this service as they have been very careful not to damage the goods, they were on site at the agreed time and as I've said, very polite and extremely helpful.
Will definitely use again in the future.

Service cost: £158

Used this company and was told would receive vehicle large enough to accommodate extra items if required. On day, two vans arrived, with three man team. During the loading a box of valuables was inadvertently loaded needless to say didn’t get off loaded at the other end. Company have refused to send me complaints and claims procedure saying it states in terms and conditions loss of valuables isn’t covered, would have been good had we been given this. Instead this company subcontracted the job out without our knowledge, all communication on email only.

It took them 2hrs 20 minutes to reach a junction less than 1hr from our old property, the complete journey only takes 2hrs 45minutes from start to finish.

Would be very wary of using this company or it’s “other” company, Kent Removals.

***WARNING***: USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR PERIL! SOPHISTICATED SCAM RING! They charge extortionate additional costs on the day of the move and subcontract their work to non uniformed unprofessional movers who turn up in a dirty small van.My advice to anyone reading this review is to RUN a mile away from a business who only insists on taking payments via bank transfers. It is a calculated move for when things go wrong as they know fully well customers are not covered. According to publicly available information on Companies House, This is a company run by a man called Daniel DADULESCU however you will only ever speak to Tony, who in the begining is very professional, cracking jokes, etc. until you pay money. Tony subcontracts jobs from a company called WeCare Removal to Kent Removal LTD. Contact made on 6/9/21 after finding WecareRemovals online. Spoke to Tony & was emailed fixed quote of £1,000 for removals & storage by a team of “professional movers.” 10 hanging boxes, protective furniture covers for mattress, glass furniture, to be provided. Tony insisted payment only via bank transfer. This rang warning bells but ignored intuition & made full payment on 11/9/21. 13/9/21 at 8.45am 2 non-uniformed men in a tattered dirty van arrived with cling film (claimed they were no furniture covers available) and 6 hanging boxes. Despite Tony advising work isn’t subcontracted, men appeared sub-contracted and one spoke no English. Claimed my items where not on inventory list and showed an app – were I suspect the job had been picked from. So much for a team of "professional movers." Alarmed as I had never filled out “inventory list,” made call to Tony who said there is additional costs for items not on inventory list. I questioned this “inventory list” as had never filled one. He became aggressive, verbally abusive and hung up. I made 3 attempts to speak with him & each time he ended call. I spent next hour in limbo trying to clarify there was to be no additional unexplained last-minute costs. He eventually sent email with screenshot of an “inventory list” I had supposedly filled - the items listed & quantity were incorrect. I had not filled this list and had never done so. Tony eventually acknowledged that I did not fill this, it was their error and I will not be charged extra. He then threatened me with additional costs for “delayed loading time.” It was almost 10:00am, I was extremely stressed & feeling trapped in a hostage situation with different threats. I had spent 1hr 15mins battling a fake inventory list now had to battle with new issue of extra costs for “delayed waiting time.” As I tried to find out more, Tony refused to talk with me -phones went unanswered. Eventually, lady called Alicia picked up phone and claimed she was not aware of the issue & would pass message to Tony. At this stage, knew I could not entrust these individuals with my things in long term storage given their questionable behaviours. Who knew what additional extra cost could crop up when they had my things in their storage? It was akin to playing dice with death & given everything that had happened, their unprofessional aggressive behaviours & catalogue of unexplained last-minute costs, I could not continue with their service. Asked Tony for full refund & it was denied. And that is how I have lost £1,000! hey have since spent all their time flagging my reviews as fake but I have shown evidence to trust pilot! Please AVOID this company! I am still fighting to get my £1,000 back and have joined forces with others who have gone through similar to report them to the police, etc. They spend all their time flagging negative reviews on other review platforms and recently took down their Facebook page which had so many bad reviews. I am not the only one who had this nasty experience! They’re plenty others! Please, please, STAY away from this company or be like me and lose your £1K cash!
