No complaints

Overall I was pretty satisfied with the service from ReloUK. They kept me updated with the progress of my shipment and the people they used to deliver the shipment were really considerate and helpful.

Do not Use

DO NOT USE - Awful experience and really poor customer service!

The packing team who come to your property to pack your goods were amazing which is about the only redeeming factor of this company. After informing them of the date of our move, we were told that the date for pickup was the best chance possible to have our goods arrive in time despite me offering to move it earlier to give extra time.

Two weeks before it is due to arrive at our destination in the US, I am told that it will be over a month and a half delayed and it has still not even left the UK despite being repeatedly told it would on the 1st September.

After speaking to Export Sales and Marketing manager who promised me various call backs which never came in the timescale that he promised. I got an email saying that their poor customer service was essentially information provided to them by their internal shipping team and that wasn't their fault and that they wouldn't be doing anything else. Do not recommend at all and use another company where possible....

Emails were answered very effeciently and Tammy was most helpful at all times. Their storage prices were very competitive and they delivered on time.

Delivery and unpacking of our container from South Africa

Was contacted by Tammy about the arrival of our container well before it arrived in the UK. She gave very clear instructions re what was required and was also very helpful when we ran into some local delays and responded quickly to my queries both via email and phone.

The crew who delivered and unpacked the container were on-time, friendly, patient and efficient.

A good experience from start to finish.

Great service

We just a had our delivery from Chicago to Wiltshire. The office staff where very efficient and informative and kept us up to date at all the stages. The delivery guys were brilliant. They phoned a few days before to advise what time they would be arriving. They were very careful, especially taking furniture upstairs. They even removed the packing materials. I would definitely highly recommend them .

Do not use ReloUK if you value your belongings, time, energy, or money

Last summer we were moving from the UK to US. These are the notes I took through the process.

Estimated timeline - given to us on 24th May as:

"We are loading more frequently to the US now, and I would advise approximately 8-10 weeks for groupages."

Items collected 1 June - sat waiting to be loaded for 4 weeks

Email on 29th June:

"Please be advised that your consignment is due for loading tomorrow, and we have to inform you that the freight and shipping has increased since we quoted you and an increase of £591.00 has to be implemented, we need your agreement before we can load your consignment, we will issue a new invoice shortly"

The alternative to paying this ransom was arranging for our items to be picked up from storage and transported another way - considering we had already left the country this was not an option.

30th June - Another email update saying it wouldn't depart until 3rd July

Didn't receive update with name of ship or docking estimate until 22nd July.

When asking for info after that, ReloUK just told us to wait for US agent to give us updates.

It took 15 weeks + 5 days for stuff to be delivered. Got phone call the day before to schedule it, and no advance warning on the day.

Many items arrived damaged (broken pictures, water damaged box, like still wet and mildewy) and an entire arm chair was missing! The truck that delivered our items was a mess too, with random boxes and trash strewn about.

The movers in the UK packed up empty boxes within boxes, put a dumbell into a wicker basket which obviously broke the basket, and loaded entirely too much stuff on top of our patio furniture and broke it. Almost all of our picture frames were broken.

Claimed on the insurance and that was a total hassle, they said every individual item had to be listed to be covered (including every single kitchen glass)

(Keep in mind the movers were the ones to write down what they were packing, and they didn't tell us we needed to itemize every single thing if anything went wrong.)

Finally got an offer for insurance claims, which had a service fee taken out, and the methods of refunding us were ridiculous (they wanted to pay us in Canadian dollars, despite neither the origin or destination of the shipping being in Canadian dollars)

The sales people for this company are super responsive to make you feel confident in their services - then the rest of the experience was painful. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
