Oxfordshire-Removals

So I was just thinking back to when I moved around 9 months ago, and just remembered I hadn't actually written a review! It was a long haul move from Oxford to se London on a warm Sunday morning in July, I believe it was the 4th or 5th and Laszlo's men arrived in impeccable time and were so professional in their handling from the start. I didn't have much to move but it was handled with the greatest of care and the 2 hour journey was great sharing one of the seats and talking to them both! I would recommend them to anyone and all at a great price.

This supplier helped us move my mother to sheltered housing, they arrived on time, Were helpful and worked very hard. They are careful and helped re-assemble bed and furniture at new flat, on the 2nd floor, no problems. I am pleased to recommend them and would use them again should a need arise.

They move heavy furniture and boxes without any breakages or damage. They showed above standard care and consideration.

As we have a people carrier we did our own removals last time as it was literally around the corner, but knew this time we had heavy items to take to Brighton from Oxfordshire and needed help. But we didn't want a 5-figure sum to pay a big company (like the one we moved from Australia with 7 years ago). Having no idea where to look, I Googled 'oxfordshire removals' and lo and behold up comes Oxfordshire Removals! It seemed a small company (man + van, we assumed/hoped) and they were clever to have an estimate on their site suggesting the total cost (a tempting one) of a local Oxford move (ie implying we add extra for a longer journey, time-wise). So I rang and immediately it was Laszlo who said he'd come straight round to see the stuff we had to shift. We were 30 mins away so that was amazing, especially as it was late Sunday pm. We are very happy with Laszlo and the work he and his colleague did. He is a nice bloke and we liked him the moment we saw him, which meant he was someone you could trust. It all worked perfectly. No complaints, cheerful and positive about everything. It was a dream move. We paid cash on the day. Will tell people down here that he can drive down virtually anywhere to pick stuff up as long as the trip is a longish one, like ours of 2-3 hours. They are great and we will recommend at will!

I was happy with my removal team! Found Oxfordshire Removals online and wasn't sure about them at first, but was more than happy with the move when it came to the day. Oxfordshire Removals provide us with a reasonable quotation after survey, that include fragile packing and dismantling & assembling of furniture. Guys were on time, polite and professional. Using them next time definitely, hopefully no next time though for a while, enough of moving houses. Would happily recommend to others.

I was looking to move my belongings from my one bedroom flat in Oxford into a tenement flat in Edinburgh (second floor). It was seamless. Laszlo came by a few weeks before the move to drop off boxes and then turned up at noon on moving day to collect them. Because I wasn't moving any furniture, it only took him about half an hour to get all my things into his van. According to my partner, he arrived in Edinburgh around 9 pm, got everything up the two flights of stairs fairly swiftly, and then took off again. Everything arrived in exactly the condition it left in.

Throughout my dealings with this company, Laszlo was great at communication: he always responded quickly to texts and e-mails, but never got in touch unnecessarily.

Finally, I would like to say that I got in touch with three companies before choosing this one. Two weren't based in Oxford and weren't going to have any vans in the area to bring my stuff up, and one quoted me £1500 plus VAT for the move. It's hard to imagine a way that the service could have been better, and it's clear that the price is lower than what at least one other place charges. All in all, I am really happy I went with this company.
