Excellent move, very responsive

Ally and his team did an excellent job moving our furniture from Scotland down to the midlands, all at a very reasonable price. He was responsive and efficient the whole time, and went out of his way to accommodate our move-in date (including storing the furniture in Edinburgh for two weeks and bringing it down as a later part load).

We have recommended this removal company to our friends, and would happily recommend them to anyone reading this review. 5*

Real can do

Can’t rate Ally high enough , gave me great quote on line ,(far cheaper then others )came round to check at time that suited me and stuck with quote, was really flexible with my uncertain dates and always looked for solutions rather then problems. I felt really confident working with him and trusted the quality of his work . Sadly my sale fell through, and he was very kind about it. When I do sell Ally will be first person I call

Excellent & Friendly Service

My husband and I have used Ally and his team twice now, and both times the service has been excellent and good value for money. Everything went smoothly from arrival to finish. All items were handled very carefully and it was handy to get all the boxes and packaging materials beforehand at a time that worked for us too. We will definitely use Move & Remove again for our future moves!

Help with moving house

Ally and colleagues did an amazing job helping us move our belongings into storage and then from storage to our new house. They are punctual and work so well together and managed to get the jobs done very swiftly. Able to provide cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, paper and tape to help with packing. Always happy to answer any questions and take extra steps to help. I would definitely recommend this company to family and friends!

Phenomenal Movers!

I had Ally and his team out to undertake a massive 8-bedroom house outside Edinburgh. Ally and his team arrived on time and carried out the move without any hiccups whatsoever!

The team is extremely friendly and polite. No complaints nor any sign of struggle. They've made my move look like it was a walk in the park.

Move and Remove certainly has mastered the art of transporting furniture. I HIGHLY recommend using them, you'll not be disappointed.

Highly Recommended Movers

Ally and the team were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional from my first phone call to them right the way through to the end of the move. They provided boxes to protect a large TV and were very quick to get the job done at both addresses. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very accommodating in getting the furniture up a tight stair case and into rooms. The best movers that I have had and would highly recommend anyone thinking of moving to use them, any future moves that I have to make I will definitely be using Ally and his team.

This company is responsive, timely, efficient & fantastic value for money. 2nd Time Using This Excellent Company!

This is our second house move with this company and cannot recommend them enough! This time around we also used the storage facility for 2 months and were so happy with the service. The team are so friendly and helpful and do everything they can to make your move as smooth as possible. They take so much care when moving around furniture in your home too. Move London - Edinburgh

I moved my 2 bedroom flat from London to Edinburgh end of January 2023. I'd recommend Ally for any move job that you have. Move and Remove has the best prices combined with an excellent service Ally was very responsive from the onset, they picked up our belongings on a Sunday morning (as we requested) from a second, no lift, in London; and delivered 2 days after in a third flow, no lift, in Edinburgh. Ally Brough a full team for the job, took care of all the items (30 plants included!) and did the job with diligence, proficiency and good timing. For you to have an idea about their fees, their quote was almost 1/3 the one from AnyVan and was not beaten by other 3 that claim they could do a price match.

Excellent service

Booked Ally and his team for a 1 bed flat move within Edinburgh. Excellent service and excellent value for money. Ally and co were extremely fast, professional and polite. The move went very quickly and it was a zero hassle move on my part, which is exactly what you want. Much cheaper than other quotes for the same move, but no compromise on service. I cannot fault these guys

Given that I'd had a qoute from a 'big' removals company that came in at 3x what Move&Remove quoted I was sceptical. But these guys are amazing. They prepare well (obviously very experienced), follow up communication was great and the work rate during the move was fantastic. They took great care with both our belongings and our properties. You'd be mad not to use them!

Very flexible

Through Ally, I was able to arrange a specialty service involving removing, palletising and handing over a quarter tonne of items to a courier. Despite complications with the courier, they were very considerate and delivered a brilliant service. They even pointed out that among my items, I had left the graphics card in my desktop computer and offered to bubble wrap it separately. They're the no-brainer choice for a removal company in Edinburgh

London to Edinburgh House Move - Excellent

Highly experienced and professional movers. Came with all the necessary equipment and protective materials to make sure everything was loaded correctly and arrived safely, including the most fragile of pieces. Ally agreed a plan with me ahead of the move and stuck to the plan exactly. On time at both ends of the journey and he was was constantly troubleshooting on my behalf during the unload into the new flat. Highly recommended.

Six moves in 30 years & these guys are the best. I’ll give them a bonus star! First came a brilliant assessment of the amount to move & the time it would take. Then a remarkable value for money price - no rip-off merchants these. On the day, prompt arrival, speedy & efficient loading and all carried out with courtesy and good humour. Once at the destination a repeat of efficient unloading plus notes on quick re-assembly of items as they carried it out. To cap it all, when it turned out the job had taken less time than estimated, a price reduction was offered! What other removal company would be so honourable? This company is brilliant. Don’t waste your money on the flash guys who COULDN’T do a better job, but WOULD cost a hell of a lot more!

House removal

Outstanding. This is a friendly, professional team who were quick and very easy to deal with, would 100% recommend to anyone. We moved our 5 bed house and Ally was easy to communicate with from outset and always easy to get hold of. Easily best value after plenty of research and way cheaper than the big Edinburgh firms. They really took care with valuable items, antique furniture was handled appropriately, beds were put together and all items of furniture placed according to specification. Really can't speak highly enough of this local business.

Moving from Edinburgh to London

I had to move from Edinburgh to London. All other companies were asking for such an expensive rate. However, when I found Move and Remove they were just perfect for what I was looking for. I genuinely couldn’t ask for better with this company. AMAZING rates for moving. The movers handled everything with care and were super understanding!

House Move

Fantastic service. Ally and his team were friendly, efficient and did a great job for my recent home move. From the start Ally was easy to deal with and gave good advice to make the move as easy as possible.

All furniture was dismantled and put back together with ease and great care was taken of my belongings. Nothing was broken during the move. All items were taken to the rooms as per my instructions.

Cannot be beaten on price having got a number of quotes from other firms. Boxes and packaging materials also provided at low cost.

Would highly recommend Ally and his team - I was very impressed and could not have been happier with how my move went.

We had a great experience with Ally and his team. The company's quote was significantly lower than other moving companies. The team that came to pack up our flat were lovely guys - very friendly and helpful. We moved from a 3rd floor Edinburgh flat into storage for a few months and will then move to East Lothian. It was fantastic working with Ally. He took my luggage at a specific date, stored it and then delivered it a couple of weeks later on an agreed upon date.

The cost of the shift was quite minimal (half the price of many other ones) and Ally was really sweet and helpful when shifting the items over. His communication was also quite on point and I have no problems in recommending this to anyone looking to move things outside of Edinburgh.

Move from Manchester to Edinburgh

Ally and his team are a polite, charming, and professional bunch. We booked Ally for a long-haul move from Manchester to Edinburgh (with only a week's notice!) and when he learnt that we were going to have to store things temporarily at a family member's house before moving again a week later, he kindly stored the items on our behalf and arranged to have them delivered to the final destination. Both times he was extremely kind and friendly, and on the second occasion, he brought a colleague who was equally nice. A lovely team, a company that takes pride in its work, wholly recommended by two Edinburgh-based gays with far too many books.
